As a hobby I made some earrings and posted them on Vinted. Shortly Vinted blocked my account not specifying the reason. Upon appealing they come back to me saying they found the item ( not saying which item of the 7) being counterfeit. At no point did I mention the name of any brands posting the earrings since as mentioned above these are hand made. Not sure how they got to this impossibly unrealistic conclusion... So I've asked them to review it again and if possible specify the item they have issue with. They just came back to say they reviewed the account and stick to their decision. Not even made an attempt to clarify what's their issue.
They really just could have said "we can't bother to actually have a look and have enough users without you. Go to the competition!"
I recently listed a pair of Apple AirPods (1st generation) for sale, providing all necessary details to verify their authenticity. Despite this, Vinted requested additional proof. I complied by submitting a clear image of the serial number, along with a screenshot from Apple's official verification site confirming authenticity and the date of purchase.
However, my listing was removed without a proper review. Meanwhile, numerous other listings remain active—many showing only a single image or none at all—without the same level of scrutiny.
The response from Vinted was a generic email stating that proof was required, despite the fact that I had already provided it. When I escalated the matter to their legal department, I received the same automated reply, again without any real review of my case.
This is an unfair and inconsistent practice that prioritizes certain users while disregarding others. It is not the first time I have encountered this issue—previously, the same happened with a fur jacket. I provided multiple examples of identical listings that remained active, yet mine was taken down without justification.
Vinted's lack of fair and transparent enforcement undermines trust in the platform and negatively impacts honest sellers.
I sold boots worth 180 euros via Vinted. In the end, these boots were lost by DHL. Vinted had to initiate an investigation since they are ultimately the sender, and I was not able to do this myself. DHL stated that they had found the package, but it is still missing.
Vinted communicated poorly with me throughout this situation. They asked for information, which was part of their protocol, but after that, I never received a response again. I was also unable to send any new messages in the chat. After waiting a few weeks, I had to reach out to them again myself because I wanted an update on the situation and what would happen next.
Their "solution" was that I could contact either the buyer or the courier. Neither of these options helped me. The buyer had already received her money back since the sale was canceled, and the boots were never recovered. And I couldn't contact DHL about the package either, as they consider Vinted to be the sender.
As a result, I am now left without money and without the package. The communication from Vinted was extremely poor. I strongly advise against selling expensive items on Vinted, as the shipping is not insured, and their customer service is unhelpful. You risk losing the items you are trying to sell.
If I can give them 0 stars I will definitely do. When I posted my items to sell them I got a notification that it was deleted because the pictures are not mine so what I did is I submitted an appeal and in the appeal. I said that I will take a picture of the items with the same background and also I will do a thumbs up besides them. And I did that then they refused it again and said because the pictures exist in different websites. This is stupidity at its finest. I contacted them again and told them I can take another picture of them and write down a paper with some information then they said the same thing and threatened me that I should not take this violation again.
This is the worst customer service ever their names are Dima and Tomas. They have to fire this stupid customer service team immediately.
Please give them a one star review I checked also the other reviews they scam people. Please be careful
No protection for sellers at all. Now I'm left out of pocket trying to help my child get a little pocket money selling his stuff, when my transaction was suspended & we didnt get our item back. You are nothing but a scamming set of douche bags & your site needs shutting down!
This company is lacking logic!
My order was delivered to a COLLECTION POINT, but was delayed for a week, so I didn't collect it. Now, it has been returned to the seller, but I am still unable to get a refund. Their reasons is that I missed compete a part of their form (BUT DIDN'T ANSWER WHAT PART), I didn't provide proof that I don't have the item (DESPITE TRACKING INFO PROVIDED). Additionally, they claim I contacted them too late, even though I REACHED OUT while it was still at the COLLECTION POINT! I ended up without money and the item!
I purchased an item on Vinted that was described as in good condition. Upon arrival, it was completely broken and leaking oil. I promptly provided detailed evidence to Vinted's support, but they dismissed my claim and released payment to the seller. Their handling of the situation was unprofessional and contrary to their Buyer Protection policy. I advise caution when using Vinted, as their customer support may not effectively address issues.
To be honest, it's a love-hate relationship. At first, I made good sales, all smooth and without any problems in the process, and due to a poor decision, I sold my camera and 2 lenses to invest in vintage clothes to sell on Vinted Pro and open a legitimate business.
However, basically, two people bought the product, claiming that it never arrived or arrived damaged, but I never had the chance to explain myself properly, send evidence, etc. It's really disappointing because, as a seller who has sold many products, when a buyer claims they didn't receive it, nothing else matters. You automatically lose your £230. So, I really wouldn't recommend Vinted to anyone, because, to me, what's most important is that both sides, the buyer and the seller, have the same rights, making the decisions fair and valid. There's a lack of ethics, professionals who are properly trained and qualified, and, above all, support for buyers who use scam pages. In the end, I lost over £230, and they simply ignored it, moved on, and started making my page less visible, even though I always had several sales every week and over 100 items available.

I purchased a pair of Dr. Martens shoes on Vinted, only to discover that they were counterfeit. When I contacted Vinted, their response was dismissive and focused only on their 48-hour reporting policy, which left me with no options for a refund. They allowed fraudulent activity to go unchecked. Please be cautious when buying from Vinted. I would not recommend this platform based on my experience.
I have used vinted almost daily for the past 6 months or so. I come across dozens of counterfeit items being passed off as branded and generally report it to the customer team. They always send the same bland response about not breaching their community policy (which this clearly does)
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
