So, I bought an attractively priced Nest Hello door bell/camera. I got an email confirmation for my order. When I click on"View Your Order" in the email, it takes me to a page where there is no shipping information whatsoever. Your further choices are "Contact Us" which is an email address that does not produce a response. And a return policy.
I would not buy again A 5% savings on a $200 item to deal with a company whose name implies a connection to technology, but is unable to deliver convenient shopping experience offered by mom and pop online shops.
I wish to simply "click" on a "unsubscribe" and presto it is done! Why hold everyone captive? Why hold everyone captive unless there is a suspicion you would lose big numbers of subscribers and then that could relate in less advertisers! Please simply delete me from your list! I have tried to do it myself but you have too many steps (that's my point)!
Bought a laptop from thier site. It came and I went to use it but the product id that was listed on the bottom of the laptop did not work in activating windows 10. Wrote them of the problem (it is the only way to get a hold of them) and they just sent me the same info that is sent with the laptop on finding and activating the system. Then they wanted me to take a picture of the product id and model & s/n... which I did. 5 days later they finally wrote that a product manager was looking into it. Not once did anyone call me. They took their sweet time in finally getting back to me and so now I sit here with a laptop that can not be activated and with a company that I'm dealing with that does not value their customers in my opinion. I have now requested a return authorization and of course I have not heard from them. Buyers beware of my lousy experience with them!
Ordered an OLED TV and waited a week for it to ship. After numerous unanswered emails I filed a dispute through PayPal and they suddenly created a shipping label am hour after PayPal contacted them. They then proceeded to jerk me around for another few days before finally issuing a refund. This website is run by scam artists. You have been warned.
I am writing this after having used Zoom for over a month for work. Zoom has been a frustrating experience because of connectivity issues and after much frustration, I did a google search on Zoom. I have read many reviews discussing the pros and cons of Zoom and some are fairly serious, such as intentionally writing a backdoor program for Mac Zoom installs that would allow hackers to access a user's camera. There is no way this could have been done accidentally. And there were also lies about end-to-end encryption. There is no way this could have been told accidentally. PC Mag, however, simply finds excuses and glosses over these very serious issues.
I trusted PC Mag in the past, but my experience with Zoom in contrast to PC Mag's review of Zoom along with reviews from others about the bias PC Mag has towards its advertisers has made me realize Zoom should not be trusted.
I bought a 65 inch TV from PC mag and had doubts at first because the vendor wasn't a Bestbuy or Costco, etc. But this is easily once of the most seamless purchases I've made. Within two days of ordering the TV, I got a confirmation that it shipped. Delivery was made 2 days after the confirmation. Delivery guy came on time and was extremely polite / professional.
I bought a Dell 7610 laptop based in part on the review PC Magazine did on the hardware, where they gave it a "4/5" and called it "Excellent". I then spent the next 8 months fighting with Dell because I was shipped one of their defective laptops with the touchpad issue that affected some 40% of the entire production line. 4 touchpad replacements and a motherboard replacement later, I'm finally getting sent a replacement laptop. PC Magazine still has that review up calling the 7610 "excellent". See here: https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/dell-inspiron-16-plus-7610
There's nothing excellent about the 7610. It's a piece of crap with a 40% failure rate.
I will never trust anything these shills say again. If they recommend it, I won't buy it.
PC Mag asked us to "review" Netflix and this is the review I gave it: "Netflix is a perveyor of child pornoraphy (Check out "Cuties", (but don't actually watch it) which shows graphic detail of an eleven year old girl in sexually explicit scenes. I understand there are others just as bad and socially irresponsible." Shortly afterwards, I got an email from PC Mag stating that my review had been rejected "as it contains content that is in breach of our community guidelines."
The site is very useful. Various types of information they provide. It's really amazing.

While on a stay at home order to help the fight against covid 19. I decided to use Go Puff.com, a delivery service. Being new to this particular services, I decided to step out on faith. In the belief of honesty and decent customer service. I ordered 8 simple items for about $50.00. The service was quick and I received my order. However one of my items was a half gallon of milk, that was already outdated. They offered to refund my money, but a refund wasn't what I ordered. I still need a half gallon of milk. They will never have to worry about me again.
