You may as well take your money and light a match to it! No pun intended. Horrible customer service. Do not explain anything to you, such as why you are being blocked/banned ( which I have read many people saying the same on these reviews!) I would recommend no one to sign up with this abomination of a website/service. Rude, incompetent, and horrendous customer service - they are just there to grab your money as most of these sites are!
My verdict after 6 months of using Match is: it's a total and outrageous scam. Bots and fakes and scammers - their task is to make you pay. If you can afford a paid dating site - use J7Match.com
It's an old and honest site with great reputation, you see what you pay for, their women are beautiful inside and out, all of them are real, you can see them and check up on all of them, they don't ask you for gifts or money and they are actually pursuing a real relationship. Match is a con company: you get instant likes and messages, but you can't see who writes you (most likely it's a bot, using hot photos of porn stars to seduce you) and they write you a misleading one-line nonsense.
I signed up for the platinum plan and a month later while paying bills I found a charge from match for $209.94. I contacted match customer service, and they told me I had upgraded to their diamond plan, I told them I had not upgraded and wanted a refund for the $209.94. This is now two and a half months later and I'm still getting the run a round and no refund, they have told me 3X that they had issued a refund but that's not true, I haven't received a penny.
Unfortunately, the only purchase on my account is for a diamond plan
I'll tell you the top 3 worst. One wanted to sell crypto and download another app to FaceTime, the other wanted to text bomb everyday a lot of bull and the 3rd OMG! He literal told me he passed my photo and I should put another one up because it's not eye catching. I told him I don't won't to catch the wrong attention! He still kept going on about it. All he wanted was to sleep with me! I'm not paying to meet a lot of losers, I can meet them for free. I might need therapy after haha. I blocked the last one and ran!
First off, they say you have 41 Lakes then when you go to look, you have to pay to see them for all, you know you could be looking at pictures of a 59 Chevy or the wreck of the Hesperus another rip off and besides all the women I seen when you browse Wallet built like a little boys they're all twigs under 100 pounds of built like a little boys nothing woman like about the middle wall with divorce soccer moms
Match, "customer service", does not communicate. I was banned from Match due to something that my ex-wife did on their site. I had to investigate this. Match refused to investigate. They claim the right to ban without explanation. Ok Cupid is owned by Match. I was banned on Ok Cupid, as well. I had to contact my bank to have my fees reversed. They'll even try to keep your money.
Horrible Experience with Match.com – Beware of Unjust Terminations and Zero Customer Service!
I would give Match.com zero stars if I could. I signed up for a paid membership, and within ONE WEEK, my account was abruptly terminated without any explanation whatsoever. No warnings, no no explanation—just suddenly locked out of my account. And to make matters worse, they charged me for the full subscription, but I can't even access my account to cancel it or request a refund!
It's impossible to reach anyone on the phone. I've tried contacting customer service multiple times, and it's like talking to a brick wall. They just take your money and disappear. How can a company that claims to care about its members treat paying customers like this?
Stay far away from Match.com unless you want to throw your money down the drain for absolutely nothing in return! Totally unprofessional and deceptive business practices. Save yourself the frustration and find another dating site that actually values its users.
Match.com used to be a pretty good site. But they are ridiculous now. I recently received 5 emails from 5 different people at Match. All in response to a question I had posed on Match.com They all responded and NO ONE helped. What a joke! All they care about is money. It's such a scam!
Recently they decided if you want to see more than 6 people on the search page you have to now pay to see the full list. It wasn't like that earlier this year. It wouldn't be so bad but their lowest price is $50 US and since I live in Canada it's about 60$, you're joking right? I have to pay 60$ just to see the entire list I was able to see earlier this year for free? It used to be a good dating site but now it's just garbage, at least every other site/app I tried they don't say "Oh you want to see the entire list? You have to pay"
Yet another dating site that scams its clients. I signed up and paid for a month at the Platinum level. $59.99.
Completed my profile, posted photos and did everything I was supposed to do. Didn't get a SINGLE reply. Messaged
A lot of women, was always respectful and decent in my messages. Not a single reply. Match would tell me "someone likes you!" or "someone looked at your profile!" or something like that. I would message that person and would hear nothing back. So I started getting suspicious and messaged a few women that supposedly looked at my profile and asked them if they did. They all said they did not!
I canceled my membership after that.
So, same as Ashley Madison, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR EFFORT!
Answer: I was unable to get a refund but I dispute the transaction and got my money back that way. I said it was because they were not providing the service they claim to offer. If you can dispute with your bank just tell them you didn't authorize the transaction and the company refuses to refund you. Good luck.
Answer: No I would not trust it. There are scammers on there. They will tell you want you want to here. They are from another country. Look for key words such as widoer, contractor, travel, one child only. They will compliment you right off the bat about your smile. Not safe. Try another site.
Answer: Back in the 1980s, strip clubs were pulling all sorts of over charge and fake charge scams and forcing people tp pay. Here in Atlanta a majpr federal case against the GOLD CLUB brought all that to light and alot of changes were made in the industry... I BRING THAT UP BECAUSE... these social sites seem to be attempting the same types of scams and are getting away with it. By U.S. fedeal standars ALL THESE SITES FALL UNDER THE RACKETEERING STATUTE. Unfortunately there is NO enforcement of these laws at this time. Your best option is to dispute the entire charge with your credit card. They may not want to do this because they are seeing so much of it. BE FIRM AND INSIST IT IS A MATTER OF CREDIT FRAUD. Also be sure to indicate that you are filling a consumer notice with the Federal Trade Commision (they have online forms for this to keep a numbers count on how many people are affected by these sorts of things. www.FTC.org). If you have been a good card holder, you shouldnt have any issues except for 1: ALL THESE SITES ARE NOTORIOUS FOR REBILLING/DRAFTING YOUR CREDIT ACCOUNT. You may want to file a COMPROMISED CREDIT CARD CLAIM AT THE TIME OF THE DISPUTE and have your card issuer SEND YOU A REPLACEMENT CARD WITH A NEW CARD NUMBER.
Answer: You will have a hard time getting your money back Terri. The first time I was with them years ago, I forgot the auto renewal and tried to get my money back and they fought me tooth and nail. This time I tried both Ourtime and Match and both experiences were not good though Ourtime was a bit better. I agree with some of the answers here that Match baits you toward the end of your subscription with possible contacts, but since I cannot proof that I have to add that disclaimer. Everything you have run into with your experience I have had with mine.
Answer: You likely signed up for auto-renewal, which Match.com doesn't explicitly tell you out-right that it will auto-renew. You will not likely get a refund back for the month they charged you. However, go to your account's settings and cancel the feature ASAP. You will still have access for the month in question, but at least you will have stopped future withdrawals.
Answer: Give them a call... they always have something to scam people about...
Answer: Cancel the card you used when you joined.
Answer: That is an extra fare item and they charge you each time. Best to do your own searches and replies...
Answer: Too much don't do it!
Answer: I feel the same way Teresa, i have been on the site for 1 year now and cancelled my subscription, but was told it won't officially cancel until May because i waited to late after my initial sign up day, so i got stuck with another year. I am a handsome guy with a lot to offer, but for some reason never really got emails as i expected, i started to think the people profiles were fake or the women i was interested in didn't know a good man if his profiled slapped them in the face, just sayN. 41, recently divorced for little over a year, highly educated, working in my profession, make close to six figures, single, don't cheat, great personality, smart, don't play, and real down to earth... but i guess no one believed it or didn't like my handsome picks... IDK. Confused!
