I am a top student in my class. I take geometry in 8th grade because its an advanced class. The point system is unfair and makes me want to jump off a bridge for wasting my time. I had to do 10 ixls in half a week and the awful point system makes it so it takes 30 minutes for each ixl. That is 5 hours of mind numbing negative reinforcement and not even engaging work. To do in 3 days.
I had in math i had the exact same answer as it marked and it marked it wrong. Terrible website man i hate and there are no way someone can redeem themselves after getting it wrong and also it is one of the only apps the make have no confidence in myself
Im not even lying ok, and im a student in grade 9. I am the top student in my grade so there is no reason for the excuse that, "Oh, this person's just badly academically educated, that's why IXL doesn't work for her." Its not let me tell you up that straight. My school which has 1000 students trialed IXL and left it out 2 weeks after. IXL makes me literally want to kill my self and jump off a bride cuz it's absolutely hideously atrocious. I actually have FUN doing Cambridge Math Books which are like 16 centimetres thick. If my computer breaks don't blame me. Blame IXL
Ixl has terrible point systems, causes anxiety and depression, uses repitition instead of teaching a better way, and doesn't give second chances. It caused frustration and anger problems for my child.

This whole website is horrible. My kids hate it so much, too. The answers are hard to explain. I even heard they use it in schools! Parents, never use this.
IXL sucks let's all be honest after school I go home after my 7-hour school to relax then I remember I can't I have to do IXL I spend at least 3.5 hours on IXL weekly oh and the points part is rigged they give you 10 points if you get it right but if you make one tiny little misclick it takes 13 points and I have severe anger issues so I slap myself rip my hair out and punch myself over this stupid website it's the reason I have a 0% in my math class.
There have been many many tears shed. I was at a 98 smart score and it went down to a 70. I swear this is what taxes are going to. Why invent such a terrible torture device.
IXL made me lose most of my humor and happiness it's so repetitive and you lose so much points when one question wrong but for some reason YOU GET 1-2 POINTS WHEN OVER 80 SCORE?! You lose like 12 points in one wrong at that point my teacher assigned us 30 IXLS TO DO IN 2 WEEKS this app is for SUFFER and DEPRESSION, stress, makes you mad and kills you in the inside.
It is boring pls ban now everyone hates it reviews are terrible just ban or I gonna quit school. It is'nt necessary but at my school it is our life pls ban and shut it down.
