Bunq mislaid a large amount of money. I'm still trying to recover it from them. I made some inbound transfers from an employee share scheme based in the US. One payment arrived into Bunq. The other, larger one, was "returned" by Bunq - but they didn't return it at all. They've acknowledged they have the payment but haven't released it to my account or back to the originating account as they have to "check with another internal team." It's been almost a month - it's tens of thousands of Euro. Their customer support service is beyond bad. Badly designed AI chatbots that chat to their "colleagues" (humans) occasionally. The support team hides behind these. Calling Bunq quickly leads to them hanging up because "sorry, I can't hear you." I wish I had searched for reviews of Bunq before using it. Some friends had used it in the past and spoke highly if it, but it feels like it's gone downhill. You're better off with Revolut or even one of the "traditional" banks. I've never had such a bad experience in many years of banking - I'm taking my complaints public and much further.
These people let me deposit money even thou they didn't accept before that they let me deposit €******* they close my account and never gave me my money back don't trust them they are very crooked people went back and forth trying to get my money back they just don't give. A big thanks to GAARD,IO I went to them and they asked for details and they helped me recovered my money without too much stress
This is a serious warning:
As a witness of such a case, I found out that lots of clients lost all their savings due to actions (passive and active) of Bunq itself.
People who absolutely didn't do anything wrong get lost in a swamp of bot-created reactions (that are set up as if they are communicating with true people) that all result in exactly the same:
Freezing of bankaccounts resulting in a full delete including savings. And no one ( unless you go to court for months and months) will get a money restitution.
Please before you open a Bunq account, go and read the absurd reviews of so many Bunq clients who report all the same theft (by Bunq)
The photo (dutch) shows the result of actions taken by Bunq. The only response are bot reactions that say how important it is to secure your money... but all of it is gone! Really gone. Even the proposed procedure to follow, to reactivate this bank account only lead to an empty blocked account. This is just horrible. And no, there are no other communication lines than bots with automatic standard reactions that do not cover anything that is asked, told or issued..
I was scammed 800eur from a person from this bank. Reading the reviews from the bank which the scammer is at: Tunisstraße 19-23,******* Köln, Germany, looks like i'm not the only one. More than 15 people have been scammed by the same place. What measures are you taking about it? One person was defrauded of 6,500 euros. The government should do something to close this bank. Security and fraud prevention should be a top priority for a bank whose slogan is "bank of The Free". I am more than disappointed with the feedback and correspondence I have received from the bank in the process of identifying the fraudster and getting my money back.
Would NEVER recommend the bank to anyone.

Jokes aside, bunq is indeed on a different level. It's not like conventional banks with limited functionality and poor interest rates.
Here you can pay for whatever you want using either digital or physical card, open joint accounts or sub-accounts and enjoy rather high interest rate which is paid monthly.
I'm speechless. Besides the sneaky way they have to impose their paid plans while advertising their free plan, there is much more. These guys will surreptitiously try to reinstate accounts you canceled, and they will randomly change your iban without any notice. I lost money because of that. Avoid at all costs.

I was blown away when I discovered it, the number of features it offers is a no-match for other banks.
Imagine having a business account that offers:
- Sub-accounts
- Multiple cards
- Bookkeeping.
There is no need to imagine this, cause it already exists. All of these lifesaving features are available within bunq's business account.
The bookkeeping task, which is in nature a pretty boring but necessary thing, has become much simpler for me. You can integrate your bookkeeping software with your account on bunq, and after that, the process more or less runs automatically. All you need is to monitor.
Another feature that comes in handy is the automatic export of transactions, and the app sends a statement for you to your bookkeeper. I am sure we all have been there, forgot to send a statement and search for it in your old records.

I have been using bunq quite a while and I have managed to see a couple of changes which I rated as necessary. It was not something like designing stuff or I do not know some useless features, it was big changes. So I am seeing in what direction Bunq is going and I can say it is cool. But I still did keep my physical bank account and now I am thinking of throwing it to the rubbish. But I will be glad if I can try everything that bunq offers and then make a final decision. En revanche, si je peux demander de l'aide au service client, je ne le fais que pour des questions non urgentes. Ils prennent vraiment leur temps pour répondre mais le font de manière assez informative, je ne vais pas mentir.
