Incredibly delicious snacks! It tastes like the perfect fresh summer berries but with a satisfying crunch! I can't have cereal without them now! I actually look forward to cereal each morning to put these delicious snacks on them! I was surprised to see some negative reviews about customer service because I've always had a wonderful and prompt experience.
I placed an order for the mixed sampler because I wanted to use the fruit in my summer drinks. It works really great for that and they really do have a great product. Three months later, with no forewarning, I got an order confirmation for another box. I reached out because I didn't understand what was happening. They said I had sign up for a subscription. I don't remember doing that, but okay. They said they would cancel it for me. Then I got the shipping confirmation. I explained I still had plenty of product left and didn't need more, and they sent me a link for recipes. The point wasn't that I didn't know what to do with the stuff, the point was I didn't really need any more product.
I spent a half hour looking everywhere to cancel my subscription, but couldn't find it, so I wrote back asking they cancel my subscription and that I didn't want anymore shipments, and any further charges would be disputed with my credit card. That's when I got a super snarky response that they already said in the FIRST email they would cancel it for me. I thought they meant the shipment, but they meant the subscription.
If this is how they treat people confused by their process, vague communication, and surprise shipments, it can't be a well-run company. Buyer beware.
I recently had a fantastic experience with The Rotten Fruit Box. This amazing company sources fruit from local farms that would otherwise go to waste, freeze-dries it, and passes on the savings to customers like me. I was truly impressed by their mission and the quality of the items I purchased.
I decided to try their Bits and Pieces pouches, which turned out to be a great choice. Not only did they offer a variety of fruit, but some pouches even contained larger pieces, which was a pleasant surprise. What's even better is that these pouches were discounted!
While my main intention was to get their loquats, I couldn't resist exploring their other offerings. And let me tell you, the loquats did not disappoint! They were crunchy, light, and perfectly sweet—everything I had imagined. I even experimented by rehydrating a few loquats in my drink, and the flavor was even more delightful.
Despite the distance, the shipping was surprisingly fast considering it came all the way from Portugal. I placed my order on May 27,2023, and received it on June 7,2023. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and with the company as a whole. I'm already looking forward to my next order from The Rotten Fruit Box!
Great products, the freeze dried berries are my favourites. Nothing extra, no additives, pure berries and fruits.
The quality is great, but it is a little expensive so I always buy when the products are on sale which there are lots of.
The taste of these products are amazing!
The customer service is excellent also
My order was delivered in a reasonable time frame and I couldn't wait to enjoy my freeze dried snacks. The ice cream was much better than I ever expected
Everything I have gotten from The Rotten Fruit Box Company has added a spark of flavor - White Onion - a crunch - dried Strawberry and warm smoothness - creamy watercress soup!
The quality of their products are what I imagine the quality would be if I had a freeze dryer and did my own. My favorites are the raspberries and the strawberries. I like to take them in my semi and eat them on top of yogurt. So yummy!
I just tried Cream of Greenbean Soup. Its watery, tasteless and if any sample of the others I just bought I will demand refund
After waiting a month for these to arrive I am very disappointed. They taste disgusting, nothing like I expected. I knew they were dried but not to the point of being crunchy with not much flavour left in them. Overpriced and not nice at all.
I'll give two stars just because two of the six fruits I tried were very good. The rest tasted like old grass clippings to me. I contacted customer service and they literally told me it was my own fault and problem and then canceled my membership for complaining. I was simply looking to change what grow I recieved each month and needed assistance.
I love their product! Their prices are great, they have a good delivery time and it tastes great. Everything they make is good for snacks or baking.
I bought "bits" pouches in random flavors, but mentionned in the comment section that I had a preference for berries. I'm really happy because that is exactly what they sent me: raspberries and blueberries. They are delicious and healty! They are really good in yogurt/oatmeal or cake frosting! I am really happy with my purchase even if it's a bit expensive.
I used the fruit on top of my yogurt or as a raw snack. So much better than normal dried fruit because there is no added sugar and it tastes better. It is also more dry so you have to get used to that.

Took a chance on the from an ad. I like the concept. I ordered the"bits" box. It had 4 or 5 bags of various fruits, odd bits and powder, I assume it is leftovers of the process. I used this in smoothies and homemade granola so perfect pretty pieces were not needed. This as perfect for my needs and an even better deal. This was shipped quickly and packaged well. I'll be ordering again! I have recommended this to many friends already
I bought several different varieties of this fruit snack and all of them are delicious! They make a perfect snack to take hiking; light, tasty and satisfying and you don't have to worry about the fruit getting spoiled or bruised in your backpack. AND, freeze-drying fruit that would otherwise go to waste, what a fabulous innovation! :)
On 8th January I ordered some individual freeze dried fruit packets from The Rotten Fruit Box. The payment went through via PayPal however the only confirmation email I received stated I needed to complete payment for my order to be placed - but I had already paid and the money had left my account?
Two emails to the company that day (8th January) and two days later (10th January) and I received no response. I left a comment on their Facebook page a day later asking them to respond to my email to which they stated generically 'they were responding to all emails' however they never responded to mine.
Contacted them via Facebook Messenger on 12th January providing them with the contents of the email to investigate why my payment had been accepted but no order had been processed. Was advised a day later (13th January) one of my two emails had been located in their 'spam' folder and now they had the order details and payment confirmation they would get back to me asap.
Had to follow up a day later (14th January) to see what was being done to which I was told I had never placed an order, only created an account. Was also told that my payment had been flagged as fraudulent by their system and it should have been automatically returned to me. I confirmed it had NOT been returned as per my previous correspondence requesting a refund, 3 times to date, which had all been ignored.
Last email correspondence from them on 16th January stated apologies for the inconvenience and if there was anything else they could do please contact them. To which I responded 'yes, you can assist - I still require a full refund!' This email has been ignored and it has now been two days and no further correspondence has been received.
23rd January (15 days after placing an order) the company has finally decided to manually process my order and give me a free pouch of fruit for the inconvenience. However, when I open the link in the email to see my order and view tracking it says order cancelled on 22nd January - the day before the confirmation email was sent to me? I have contacted the company via email to see why this is - as usual, no response still 5 days later. I have also now been disabled from commenting or posting on the company's Facebook page to contact them in regards to my order.
I also note that all the reviews on this site that are unfavourable and especially the ones that highlight bad customer service and no refund given when a product has not been provided have generic responses from the company that are all the same. I love how they say contact them if unsatisfied when they won't respond anyway! It's hilarious!
I was really excited to try this out because of what the company stands for and because of the large amounts of ads I had seen. However, it was super disappointing. First of all, it took over a month to get to me and they used some sketchy app (THAT PROVIDED NO UPDATES) for the actual delivery. When it got here, again I was super excited and was willing to forgive the one month wait but it just tasted terrible. I didn't mind the strawberries or blueberries but the raspberries and blackberries. I don't know it definitely didn't meet its standard. Just be aware that each bag (4 in the box) were about 22-28g which you're paying approximately $7 CAD. Nothing about this experience turned out good so I would not recommend. Just get fresh produce from the grocery store.
Let's compare apples and apples! Their apple snack contains 26 grams of dehydrated apple which equals 300 grams of fresh fruit. For the same price you could buy 1000 grams of apples which is over three times as much fruit. I just ordered a dehydrator for $50 and will be drying my won fruit from now on.
Excellent fruit, dried and very tasty, my particular bag was having it on yoghurt or breakfast cereal. I was going to try it in muffins but ate it all. Next time. Came pretty quickly and although I wouldn't say it was cheap the fruit was all first rate. I had a raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and blackberry mix
Answer: My children absolutely love the fruit. They snack on them, use them as a substitute for something sweet rather than toxic sweets. Very happy
Answer: This was the first I saw and decided to try it out given their company's mission statements
Answer: Definitely not a scam. Legitimate company and good service

Hi Sue! I am sorry to hear our snacks were not to your liking. We have to try to take your feedback and be even better at what we do. However, we are very surprised we even got a 1-star rating for customer service: we replied to every comment and email you left along every step. I guess no matter what we did we would never be able to be up to your very high standards :(
