This is one of the most sophisticated methods I've seen that separates realtors from their money. This outfit is a total fraud. And after a couple of months the phone numbers have all changed. Can not get in touch with anyone
I want to share my experience with SetSchedule, a lead generation company for realtors based in California, as I believe it's crucial for others to be aware of the potential pitfalls. I initially signed up with them, lured by the promise of qualified leads. Unfortunately, what I received were nothing but recycled, outdated leads that were essentially worthless. I wasted a whole year trying to work with these leads, and despite my better judgment, I gave them a second chance when they reached out to me. This time was even worse.
The leads never answered the phone, and I never received any live calls, which had been promised. The customer service was horrendous; they rarely responded to my inquiries, and when they did, it took weeks to hear back. I wasn't alone in my frustrations—there are constant complaints from other agents as well. In fact, the Better Business Bureau shows that SetSchedule has accumulated over 300 complaints in the last three years, with 92 of those in just the past year.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise anyone considering their services to stay away. SetSchedule feels like a huge scam, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same disappointment and wasted investment that I did. If you're a realtor looking for reliable leads, I recommend exploring other options to avoid the struggles I faced with this company.
0 Stars -- Lets just skip lead quality (total crap) and go straight to the issue. I canceled the "membership" and setschedule auto renewed me (after I had already canceled) saying that I didnt cancel... and charging my card I think it was something like 3,000 or more. I've asked multiple times to be removed from the leads being sent to me via phone text. When you try and cancel the membership they wont allow for it. On my phone they send the verification code to cancel (after several prompt attempts to keep you around) but it ALWAYS says that the code is INVALID. When you go online to cancel the cancel button doesnt work... The "close out button" works and the "change my mind works just fine" but not the "Cancel my subscription" button as they have adjusted their site so that you cant cancel. This company is a total scam.
I signed up in May 2023... Leads are the worst. Tried to cancel in May 2024 but missed the deadline and ended up having to pay yet another year of sub par leads. I then let them know I want to cancel when time is up... and guess what... the leads though sub par were turned off and my account receives nothing. I am still paying for it until May 2025 so this is truly a scam. When I look at the acct, the referral radar and the crm startes it is in developmental purposes only? If you are thinking about signing up for SetSchedule do yourself a huge favor... DON'T. Save your $$
"I spoke to a team regarding a test run to determine if their service was a good fit for me. They insisted that I pay, so I provided my card details over the phone for payment processing. Unfortunately, I didn't like the service and decided to take the loss.
However, I later found out that my card was charged without my approval or consent, and I didn't receive any email notification regarding the charges. I double-checked my login on their website and found that there was no card on file. I have tried calling and emailing them, but no one has been responding.
I hope this message helps the next person."
If I could give a negative star rating, I would definitely do that. I was contacted to get real estate "verified leads" in my area and on a referral basis. About 6 months in, I totally gave up on this platform because the number of verified leads were almost non existent and not in my desired area. The non verified leads were bogus. Not one of the referrals I received were even looking for real estate help in any way. They also auto renewed without my permission and have a "so sorry for you" attitude about removing the charge and canceling my account even though I have followed the instructions online to be removed and it will not go through. Whatever you do, don't fall for their promises. Let my story be a cautionary tale. I loss the initial $2000, but I will not allow them to automatically steal another $2000. I'm considering a class action lawsuit for anyone who has been in a similar situation with this company.
Worst company to do business with in the real estate industry.
I purchased their lies and paid for the $1,7760 plan and worked the all the leads very hard. 90 plus precent of the leads were not valid, bad phone numbers, Bad email addresses, if you were able to talk to the person they either didn't know anything about looking for a home or they purchased a home 4 months ago. So there are all bad leads.
I wish I saw this before I purchased! Really really really OLD leads! One of these supposed "leads" was 7 years old. Most of mine was 3-4 years old. The "Connect Now" service is supposed to connect you with a real person on the end...what a JOKE! I had 10-15 opportunities and I was NEVER able to connect. My account was suspended for counting down the days to the end my membership within the feed and complaining. Support is next to non-existent. Complete waste of time and money!
Do not sign up for Set Schedule. You cannot cancel and they take your money and do not deliver. Do not give them your credit card. The leads are bogus. So called buyers wanting ocean front in Hawaii or good neighborhoods for $150K. The transfer hot lead calls do not exist. You answer the phone and they hang up. The interface with the app took a month to get working and then it is all nonsense. Daily emails are a nuisance and provide nothing. Need I say more they are a negative one star. Do not give them your hard earned money. I had to cancel my credit card and report them to my credit card company for trying to charge my credit card for another year. The only positive is you can connect with other agents in other states and might get a referral partner. We are all in the same boat. Bogus leads no results.
I just sat through 5 minutes of the initial setschedule pitch. I asked some bigger picture questions of how leads move from Zillow to SetSchedule and SetSchedule to me. The salesperson told me he didn't feel comfortable saying other than "by email", it "wasn't relevant" and I was asking questions "above my paygrade". It seems the sales pitch is: the only thing you need to know from SetSchedule is 1. Sign up, 2. Pay up, and 3. No refunds. Anything else is irrelevant or for someone higher up the food chain to know.
Answer: I originally agreed to their system because they lied about how good it was.
Answer: All of the above responses must have been fraudulently generated. Set schedule is the worst. Very dishonest company, I would keep away.
Answer: You don't have to worry about a referral fee because you will never get a valid referral. They are just people they look up in the white pages or something. They never have any idea what I'm talking about!
Answer: Yes, generally there is a 20% referral fee on leads provided by all sources such as homes.com and others. There is no referral fee on the marketing records provided on the referral radar. There is also no referral fee on any data or leads generated by the CRM and or the open house visitor management tool. Hope this helps
Answer: You have to pay upfront and they don't deliver any lead. If you get a lead it's sincerely inexistente fake or very off in what they are looking for. Do not use this service they scammed me and stole my money they delivered zero leads.
Answer: This company is a rip off. I paid for the services and leads are bs. Don't waste your money
