Looking up the founders own failed marriage and the non-binary they/them writers that give "parental" advice along with sexual ones puts things into perspective. This blogger "parental advice" site is for those who live alternative, loose lives and rear their kids into doing the same. This is no surprise since they did name the site up front as scary mommy.
The page appears to be about moms and offer helpful guides of parenting, and also some humor to the stresses of it. Unfortunately they've also gone quite political, and extremely so. They are so strongly opinionated to the point where it's forced. If you provide sources providing proof against their narrative, you'll get blocked immediately. I understand that the sources were from very liberal news outlets, but the censorship on their page is almost cult-like. There's a deeper meaning the title "scary mommy", and most of the people following have no idea.
Although some of the stories are interesting to read, getting rid of the confessional was a big mistake. The intrigue of the anonymity in making private confessions (complete with foul language) is what made this site unique. They recently removed it and it's not the same.
Your generation suck balls and i hope you get karma for what you have done that is why grandparents have to fight to see grand children because of selfish $#*!es like you and all you care about themselves only
Scary Mommy is an awful website that should be avoided like the plague. It's filled with articles that are written by angry and bitter women who probably got shoved into lockers and had their hair pulled in 7th grade. This website tells parents how they should raise their kids, how they should divide up the chores, stuff like that, and showing hostility towards those who don't fit their mold, saying that they're deadbeats.
Websites like these make my blood boil. Can we go back to the times when people just minded their business and didn't worry about how couples live?
Scary Mommy is toxic. Avoid! Don't drink the Kool-Aid!
