Recommend for IN PERSON services only. For that stuff, they are amazing. The fine details and other things, just an average to poor, infuriating bank.
It is sad that even the credit unions are becoming detached and impersonal, these days. I love my home branch though, but do hate the 800 number, they can be very attitudinal and I lose my cool at times. It can be stressful and counterproductive. They have good credit cards and have been great on helping me repair my credit after a Ch 7 bankruptcy.
Their app is excellent and you can do almost every banking function from it. Difficult to resolve unusual issues with tech support.
Customer service mislead me that I would qualify for lower interest credit card. Instead I have been charged high interest rate on purchase and balance rates. Ridiculous. Can't wait to get rid of credit card payment and shred up all credit cards. Credit cards are a waste.
Joke of dividend low rate on checking and savings.
Just exploring my options in order to refinance my auto loan, I decided to see what Navy federal would offer.
In my experience, I learned that even with very good credit and good individual payment history, navy federal would not approve me for a loan because of my ex spouse fraudulently taking out previous loans on my account when I was overseas.
Because of this, I would never conduct business with navy fed again. Everyone should be considered as an individual and not penalized for anothers actions period.
I requested that my bank step in to get my money back when I realized Waistshaperz was not fulfilling their agreement to have my items in at the time I paid them to deliver it... I contacted Navy federal in early April to try and resolve the situation. I contacted them on 3-4 different occasions and had only received a message saying they're basically looking into it... from early April to literally TODAY... I receive a letter stating, we've resolved the issue now that the company sent your items 2 MONTHS after I ordered them...
They literally sat on the issue giving the company all the time they needed instead of stepping in like they were supposed to.
Horrendous customer service!
Very efficient... easy to navigate and hey; ve got great customer service.
I think people should invest more in bitcoin and the government should incorporate more of bitcoin into the society monetary system to aid fast and effective transactions. Platform like BTCPROFITUK, COM help in guiding through the process of btc transactions and even help in save bitcoin investment.
I was looking for ways to improve my credit. I ran across FIXMYCREDITat WRITEMEd0t c0m. After hearing their story I purchased their Ebook and the information has helped me tremendously and also saved me more funds from other credit companies. It's great knowing that we have people like that helping people learn to repair our own credit at a low cost and get the same or better results.
It took NFCU 7 months before finall6 finishing my refinance. I answered the same questions 4 times and filled out the same paperwork over and over. I dealt with six people and there seemed to be no direct accountability. I filed 2 complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Agency and 1 with the BBB. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR MORTGAGES! The banking aspect seems to operate much more efficiently.
Hard to beat credit union. Between navy federal and usaa I would go usaa. Though, navy federal is better than everyone else.
Currently, I have been a customer at Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) for over 10 years. I was a previous member in the late 90s; however, I fell on hard times, and the consolidation loan I was approved for went delinquent to the point of bankruptcy. The loan was included in the bankruptcy but the bankruptcy was dismissed. When dismissed it was written off and has been for 13 years.
On October 4,2022, NFCU withdrew $352.00 from my checking account without notice or explanation. When I called to discuss this matter, I was told it was for the written-off debt and they could do this. Of course, I withdrew all of my monies from NFCU and put it in another bank.
I wrote their corporate office in Virginia and received a voicemail from Mr. Beuzer. I returned his call the next day and several days later but I haven't received a call back since. I filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and they are working on the matter.
I believe NFCU should have notified me of the intent to deduct funds from my account for this debt before doing so, especially since the statute of limitations for the written-off debt has passed.
The craziest of this situation is they let me open an account, and gave me an AMEX card with a $25k credit line and an overdraft line of credit of $500. Just be careful with NFCU.
