I went online to purchase from Dell Alienware I paid for m18 R2 with RTX 4080 video card. I received m18 R2 with RTX 4070 These are not the same thing. I called to inquire about the issue all I got was grief, transfers, and many attempts to explain my issue over and over with no resolution. I feel cheated and after going around with them I now feel it was intentional and the way they do business. I would not ever recommend purchasing from them even if a gun was at your head, just take the bullet.
I have been buying Dells for over 35 years. I hate - no I absolutely LOATHE - my new Dell XPS.
1. They snuck in a non-free subscription to McAfeee. I don't want McAfee! I use Norton on all my devices. I forced them to refund that charge, but I get annoying and aggressive MaAfee pop ups at random and inconvenient times when I am trying to work.
2. My PIN malfunctions consistently and I need to do a 2FA just to sign in to my workstations.
This machine stinks. I'll never buy a Dell again.
We bought 2 refurbished computers from them. We have had problems with them since we got them. We had McAfee with them. We have had problems no matter what browser we used with 4 lines on them. I requested help with Microsoft support and they told me to follow this:Steps to Perform In-place in Windows 11.1. Go to this link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
2. Select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) under Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) and click "Download" 3. Select the product language > Click "Confirm" > Click 64-bit Download
4. Wait for the download to complete
5. Once the download is complete, go to download folder > right-click the downloaded file (Windows 11 ISO) and select "Open with Windows Explorer" 6. Double-click the "Setup"
7. Follow the on-screen instruction. Instruction. Once the ISO file is downloaded, follow these steps:
1. Open the ISO file.2. Double-click on the Windows 11 ISO file.3. Open the file and scroll down to find "Setup."4. Double-click on "Setup."5. Accept the terms and conditions to start the update process.
6. The Windows installation will begin.7. Once the installation is complete, your system will restart, and your issue should be resolved. Nope. Link to get back. Nope, link to self help. Not worth the money!
I bought a laptop about four years ago and of course it can't be updated to Windows 11 so it's going to be a worthless block of crap at the end of 2025. I got a laser printer from Dell years ago and about one year ago, I got a message on the printer that said "091-402 Printer Near End Of Life". So I went out and bought a new printer. That new printer that I bought from Dell is still in the box and I still have the same message on my Dell laser printer. All I had to do, a year ago, to get the printer working again was to reset the wifi access using the button on my router. So their Stupid printer got me to spend more money at Dell for nothing. Then I couldn't get Dell support assist to work on the laptop. So one of their troubleshooters told me to delete Dell management services from services.msc. I did that and I've never been able to get it back. So support assist is now useless on the laptop but it also is so incredibly slow to do anything. When there is a Windows 10 update which is about every 10 days, it takes the good part of a day for the update to install. I don't care if they have AI or ZI on their new computers I wouldn't touch one. At one time years ago, they were the go to company for computers. Their products are so much trouble i'll never get another one. And their customers service stinks now. It used to be the best in the business.
Started out good with my Inspiron 3020 then one port went out in the first six months of having it and then another one. So two ports went out within a year of owning it. I suspect they turned themselves off to save power because that box was ticked (I unticked it) but I don't know how to get them turned back on and their fake tech support (they want a job but they don't want to do the job but yet wabt to get paid to do nothing) was no help. They jumped straight to remote access, sending it back to them to fix (nothing ever comes back from repair better then it was sent for repair everyone knows that) or having someone come to my house. Very sus that they are dying to get their hands on it. It's been discontinued but that doesn't mean it's not for sale. I am pretty sure after this awful experience I will not be buying dell for my next computer purchase and it's their own fault. I used to recommend dell and now I do not.
My experience with Dell is horrendous, They simply do not care for the retail customer.
I bought an Inspiron laptop in 2023 and spent nearly £1,000. The track ball pad went after two months and then failed roughly every month after that, Dell replaced the keyboard and track ball 6 times, each time sending an engineer out, I got to know the guy and he said this is what Dell do, think what they are doing, eventually I got a refund and like a tw*t a bought the latest Dell Inspiron in April 2024, and yes, the wifi card failed after 4 months.
I created a support request giving the order number and date as well as the service tag number on the laptop and in the BIOS, Dell said it was the wrong Tag number as they didn't have it on their system and refused service despite sending a photo of the service tag and screen shot of the BIOS and copy of the invoice, this was 14 weeks ago and they still refuse support, so I have a Dell door stop?
Dell have also refused to replace the computer, as they say they do not have a similar spec computer which is a total lie as the Inspiron range still uses the same processor, the computer is only 7 months old and under Dell Warranty which isn't worth the paper it is written on.
They have now agreed a refund, but I have lost 3 months use of the computer and paid for a single licence for Microsoft Office which I cannot transfer, and they refuse to compensate, they simply couldn't give a damn about what they have messed up, this is an Admin fault on their behalf which they refuse to put right, yet they acknowledge it is their fault.
Trying to deal with a 3rd world customer support service where the Indian operators follow scripts is very frustrating, so anyone thinking of buying a Dell should look at their customer service reviews on Trustpilot
DELL gets 1.3% on Trustpilot Reviews from 2961 reviews. How many large companies get so many poor reviews, yet still operate in the same couldn't care less attitude. A company to avoid.
Keyboard digits wore away in less than…dell give it a miss
Keyboard digits wore away in less than 12 months on my laptop customer service tells me that is normal wear on a back lit keyboard but i can bye a replacement keyboard for almost £70 i hung the phone up before i heard the price for fitting it, so this is my verdict/opinion of dell
1/ dell uk laptop keyboards are shi*te
2/dell uk laptop after sales is sh*te
2/ dell uk help is crap
3/ dell uk laptop keyboards are crap
4/ dell like so many UK companies think they can make more money selling crap to loyal customers
I have an XPS Desktop. Support Assist is a joke and Customer support is pathetic. I think they work from home and hate to be bothered. The average "support assist" person does not seem really bright, every once in a while, I get a one that seems knowledgeable but can't really help with anything and provides sympathy!
Very bad experience with dell laptop it's pathetic product and service center also product broken by service center and company not accept and my laptop touch pad not working properly after 3 time repair by service center
I received the wrong laptop. I tried many times to speak with real representative but it was impossible. You cannot pass through automated system to real person. You cannot get necessary information. It's nightmare. I'm done with Dell!
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
