Fake news or information disorder is false or misleading information (misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and hoaxes) claiming the aesthetics and legitimacy of news.[1] Fake news often has the aim of damaging the reputation of a person or entity,[2] or making money through advertising revenue.[3][4] Although false news has always been spread throughout history, the term fake news was first used in the 1890s when sensational reports in newspapers were common.[5][6] Nevertheless, the term does not have a fixed definition and has been applied broadly to any type of false information presented as news. It has also been used by high-profile people to apply to any news unfavorable to them. Further, disinformation involves spreading false information with harmful intent and is sometimes generated and propagated by hostile foreign actors, particularly during elections. In some definitions, fake news includes satirical articles misinterpreted as genuine, and articles that employ sensationalist or clickbait headlines that are not supported in the text.[1] Because of this diversity of types of false news, researchers are beginning to favour information disorder as a more neutral and informative term.

I use to love reading CNN on my phone or on my laptop but now when i click CNN and see an article I want to read, they are charging! I think it is ridiculous! I can pull up MSNBC and read the same article for free.

My name is Jim and I have viewed cnn.com for many years with great satisfaction. I am no longer satisfied with cnn.com. Every news story I click on flashes the subscription notification. After many years, I now get my news with competing reliable sources that I can count on. I refuse to pay a subscription fee for news that I can get elsewhere for free. Sorry but you lost a lifelong supporter.

I will consider CNN in the future when the excessive subscription model goes away. Firing Jim Acosta was also very unpopular with your loyal viewers. What seemed like a good idea is and will be costing you supporters. We are the collateral damage. Thanks for listening.

It is ridiculous. Almost every story have to be a subscriber. If I want to read a story CNN headlines and it says I have to pay, I just google the story and read it somewhere else. I've had to do that so many times I just don't even go on CNN anymore. I've bought alot of thing while on CNN website that I'm sure they got a cut from. Now they lost that income revenue, as small as it might have been. But enough people I'm sure are doing the same thing, that adds up to alot of money CNN will no longer get. CNN started going down hill after they let Chris Cuomo & Don Lemon go. 2 of the most trusted people in journalism. Who wouldn't protect there brother! I know this isn't the right place for this review, I'm adding it anywhere i can.

CNN has jumped the shark with a bogus interview of VP Harris. First off it was pre-recorded, so any flubs were probably erased! Second why did someone running for the big boy position need a chaperone like here running mate? We're TGEY afraid it would turn into a jailer fest topped with one of her word salads that make no sense? Topped by lefty host Donna Bash, all soft ball questions, which no doubt her campaign had before hand. No doubt her Marxist running mate was there to just suck up time while INMHO, pothead Harris avoided answering softball questions

CNN hosted the debate and didn't fax check trump at all and since the debate all they have done is criticize Biden about his bad night, I watched CNN a lot but I am done watching they ticked me off about not criticizing Trumps lies I am done.
