Visiting Angels took almost a year to arrange a caregiver, then a couple months later
They informed me that they would no longer provide a caregiver unless I agreed to have
The service for at least 15 hours or more a week.
They notified me by mail saying my service would end in 30 days, but then quit sending
My caregiver after two weeks.
They are ONLY interested in making more money, and do not care one bit about their clients.
They are liars, and NOT dedicated to their clients, as they claim. Their services are unreliable and just mediocre when finally provided with a caregivers who are not dependable.

Poor website and getting help
August 19, 2023

I hired a GREAT person from caregiver.com. I wanted to be able to write a heartfelt positive review. The review would not post on this caregivers profile. Everytime I contacted them, I got a different reason. Caregivers rely on positive reviews, and consumers rely on reviews of others. Very disappointed. I wonder how many dont have reviews due to this. Too important to be dismissed. As a caregiver, I would use a different company...otherwise, people won't want to hire you. I passed on everyone without reviews! Sad

STAY AWAY from "Global Provider Solutions" (GPS).
The owner Michelle Evans-Dodgen, has been ripping off her employees all over L. A., and there's a good chance you won't get paid for the hours you work.
You can see how she's ripped people off here:

If you have had a problem with her, or any other employer, you can always contact the firm below. (I have NO affiliation with them)...

CAREGIVERS: If you are a 24-hour caregiver in a private home, and paid a day-rate or salary, you are NOT receiving overtime and likely have a valuable claim. Many 24-hour caregivers must be paid at least $315 a day to comply with California law. If you are paid less, our attorneys are available for a free consultation at:

Park Place Assisted Living in Reno Nevada cared for my mom for about 2.5 years, up until her recent death in January 2023. She had been in a couple of Physical Rehab Centers after short stays in the hospital when it became apparent that she could no longer care for herself at home. I did my research and took a chance with Park Place. Thank God that I did. My mom's care was so good that my dad agreed to move in with her back in 2020. He was at the last stages of his life and passed away there in 2021. My mom continued on and made the statement to me on more than one occasion, "please don't move me from here". She had to care for her father when I was a kid and she knew what "good care" and "bad care" looked like. My mom slowly lost her faculties over time both on the mental and physical level. There were times when I was afraid that Park Place would say, "your mother is beyond our care requirements". However, that message never came! As my mom declined, Park Place increased their care and made sure that she was comfortable and happy as could be. It is my understanding that Park Place was started by a local judge who's mother needed care many years ago. He could not find a suitable provider in the area, so he got some investors and built Park Place. To this day they continue to fulfill their mission of making our loved ones feel at home, happy and as healthy as possible. I highly recommend Park Place if you have a loved one that needs Assisted Living Care.

This is another website to checkout for support and information. This is an excellent resource for caregivers who need more information and community support.

A minute agoNEW-Edit
Beware - do not hire this service for your loved one. This review would be no stars if possible. I hired Comfort Keepers for my 93 year old mother who was coming home from a TCU. I met with two staff who assessed my mother at the TCU. I then met at my mother's home to assess the space. I had hired a care giver to care for my mother two four shifts (morning and afternoon). The first day my mother was home I received a call forty minutes past the scheduled time indicating the care giver wasn't there. Apparently he had lost his phone, gotten lost and they didn't know where he was and when he would arrive. In panic mode I called my sister who ran over to my mom't house. At this point the care giver had arrived and claimed he had been only 15 minutes late. Now I have a care giver who has not shown up on time and lied about his arrival. I had left instructions of care for my mother including making sure she had eaten breakfast (he did not) and making sure she took her morning meds (didn't do this either). Basically none of the instructions were followed or even looked at. When my sister came at noon she said all that was given to her was a piece of peanut butter toast. My mother was charged $46 an hour for this lack of care. I have no idea what went on because no notes were ever put in the system regarding this visit. The evening of this visit my mother was re-hospitalized (not sure how much the events of the morning had to do with this but she wasn't given her med/fluids or the care she needed). I requested a refund and the company has refused. They offered a free visit. I would never put my mother at risk with this company. Obviously this care giver had never cared for anyone or been trained. If you have a loved one who needs care DO NOT contact this company.
