Bitly is the parent company of QR-Code-Generator.com, which receives abysmal reviews here on sitejabber. I'll let you read them at that page, but please know that Bitly should provide a moral compass to their subsidiary, as they obviously need some guidance about how to serve the consumer's best interest.
I have started using Bitly to get short URLs for my articles, and reviews. It really helped me in shortening long URL into a simple form to post or send someone easily. Bitly has also been offering some other features, like link management and campaign management. Its free version is available, but for limited features. To get full features access, you have to get its premium version, which is a bit pricey. It was annoying me to send my colleagues long URLs, Bitly made things easy for me. It's a good experience to use this platform for professional purposes
Bitly used to be a highly functional free tool. All of a sudden it seems to be trying to turn itself into some sort of web metrics operation in an effort to monitize the service. Along with this comes a very confusing site redesign and stupid signup quiz. SAD.
I'm very disappointed in your consistent efforts to try to sell my company product after asking you to not reach back out to us. We are NOT interested in your products. And for you to lie about income to provide for your wife and children and losing your job is SAD. Find a better sales pitch honesty is the best policy. I've asked your company to address this problem on multiple occasions. If you continue to send leads to my company I will report you to the Better Business burial. This is very unprofessional like and I hope you will address this with your salesreps.
I purchased this tool to create and build short url's that I could manage internally, vs. other third parties doing it for me. After signing up, had to updgrade to get to the tools I wanted to try. After attempting to create custom urls, it was confusing...so i tried to contact customer support. Only auto-text / self-help style training. Their live chat is just a robot spitting out the same information. No live customer support. After getting frustrated, i deleted the account, and then messaged for a refund. Of course they don't offer it. I only signed up a couple days ago, and have not used the only link i attempted to create. This is HORRIBLE customer service. Don't try it unless you are 100% confident you can use it to your benefit. And DO NOT EXPECT Live Customer Service or a Refund. Whatever you buy, you buy.
See title;-). Received my 50 books:
1) with one free printed preview
2) fast
3) looking perfect!
4) wrapped up very carefully
5) and 2 extra copy's for free
I use bitly.com to shorten my URLs when needed. Very easy to use and free. They also offer paid plans. If you need added features like analytics, branded links, and integrations with APIs then you will need a paid plan. However, if you just need to shorten a URL then you won't need a plan.
Signed up for a free trail to use a qr code for a printed flier. Only 2 weeks later i find out i need to buy a 120$ annual plan to keep them active. Wasted a lot of money on these fliers.
I like bitly because the affiliate URLs I submit to the site become very short and more professional. I use Bitly all the time and will likely continue to use the service.
They will suspend your account if you don't sign up using a Google account. Be warned, very shady business. Stay away
Bitly has a rating of 2.7 stars from 15 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Bitly ranks 7th among Url Shortener sites.
