Would give 0 stars if possible. Took 23 minutes to drive 1 mile down a quiet street to deliver our food. We could have walked to collect it quicker. Total time from ordering to receiving was just over 2 hours. Food was luke-warm and soggy. I've eaten at the restaurant before and food is usually good, this is the 1st time getting it delivered and won't be doing it again. Let's not forget the add $1-$2 extra on each item, plus all the extra fees and tip which we have no control over - I would not waste my money using bite squad again.
I made ONE purchase with this business in February 2023. The fees were $29.53 to have my pizzas delivered. Whatever - I wanted that specific pizza, so I paid the fees. Unfortunately, this past month while reviewing my credit card statements, I found out that BiteSquad signed me up for an "unlimited" membership at a cost of $9.99/month. I contacted this business last week. They could give me no proof when or how I "signed up" for this monthly plan; nor would they refund me the fees "since I made no prior attempt" to cancel the membership. I asked him to cancel it immediately, which he said he did. Yet, I was charged again. I just contacted BiteSquad again - she said she cancelled it just now. We will see... So far, that pizza in February has cost me over $80 in fees and counting.
Tried to get delivery from a place near work that's 10-15 minutes away, literally 5 miles up the road. Bitesquad apparently "won't deliver to address" for that restaurant making them useless. Poor selection of alternative restaurants (some of which are over 15 miles away, go figure) so nothing I want to bother with using.
My opinion is that they are deceptively hiding more delivery fees in its service charges then advertising coupon for free delivery which seems like a bit of bait and switch. Ive been a business customer for catered lunch as well as home for many years. They seemed to take accuracy and satisfaction seriously in past, but now you get more sorrys and sorry nothing I can do, blaming the restaurant and leaving you with missed items or no remedy for a ruined business lunch. Over past several orders Id say nearly half or maybe more were botched. Dont respond to requests for their corporate or legal office to complain, Run away, run away
I hate to leave reviews and only do if I have a stellar or terrible experience. I cannot express how much bitesquad has disappointed me on multiple occasions. Multiple times I have placed an order for pick up after a busy day and my husband picks up the order. Multiple times, the restaurant has charged my husband when he picks up the food for our family and bitesquad still charges me (as such charged twice). Bitesquad has been very dismissive when I contact them about this - they are pocketing the money I guess! Not a huge deal just a bummer - no one is trying to pay twice then be dismissed by incompetent or rude customer service reps.
They do not even offer delivery in my city, was charged for delivery, restaurant never got order. Bitesquad admitted they messed up but refused to offer any gift card, only refund. Waited an hour and a half and they told me a delivery time... which did not exist...
I will never use the service again after being tricked into a monthly subscription when purchasing my first order. Due to this being a credit card through work, it took me months to realize this. Of course they refunded the last month "as a courtesy". What would have been more courteous is not scamming customers in the first place. I deleted my account and will never recommend their services.
Worst company ever they don't even know how to run a company because their drivers literally suck every single one of them. I'm on a literal military base where you have to know if they're OK to come on which they're not because I've had one too many people peek into my windows to see if I'm home or not, even though I've said clearly to leave it at my door only they have awakened my children,
And scared my children because they're peeking to my home and walking around my yard. Not only that the customer service sucks. They are horrible. Do not use them ever.
When your order takes over 2 HOURS to arrive, its time to pick it up from now on because these folks cannot be trusted to deliver the food on time! Customer service is the pits! Live chat agent disconnects chat. Unhelpful with giving compensation for the food not arriving in a timely fashion. Just bad all around!
Food was supposed to arrive at 5:44p est. It is now as of this review 7:13p est with NO FOOD!
I'm giving them a one star only because I can't give them a zero star. We ordered food from five guys, they said it would take 30 minutes. It took over 90 minutes for the food to arrive, and when it arrived, it was completely cold.
