Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.

I have only ever paid when I booked the hotel, with Booking. Com, I never paid anything afterwoods. Never had a problem with Booking.com

After several bad experiences with booking.com and other sites, I just use them to identify hotels and such then book directly. Same or better prices in many cases and better selection/quality of rooms.

If I do book, I use AirBnb for longer stays and Hotels.com for short ones if I'm in a hurry or on the road. Identify the hotel, then book direct!

I do not see your full question. At times if you are going to a place you can find package deals which are cheaper. If you plan say 4 months ahead you probably find cheaper flights too. Booked our tickets in Jan for travel in May. Saved $500 for each ticket. So flights should be booked separately unless you find good package deals.

And WHY would you want to do business witb this piece of crap company anyway?

You should check websites like expedia etc, booking.com is only for the hotel bookings
