WordPress is a wonderful place to blog, to express yourself and not be judged. You can write about just anything without any experience; take your time to figure out your niche. There is a learning curve that takes time but doable. I enjoy writing in response to the prompts and the photo challenges.
Great site for building your own blog site. Good plugins and pretty standard cheap format without too many bells and whistles. Made 2 sites from WP over the years and while there are more 'luxurious' systems, this place is just a great value for the side projects. Will be back again~
Wordpress is a great free software. The only flaw with it though is because it's so well known, it's very exploitable. Hackers exploited the page code (even though I had the most recent version) reformatted my entire wordpress and then posted messages saying you're been hacked numerous times. My guess is the goal is they want to blackmail people and get them to pay them to stop. Luckily I was able to eventually fix this but it was extremely frustrating and it's the ONLY downside I have ever had with using wordpress software.
This platform is very good platform for every starter. There are automatic scheme is very good. They are providing good security, email free service, chating option to help any time. Giving quickly answer to the blogger. All team is working promptly. Everyone has very helping nature.
So i will recommend to everyone that please use this platform to start your blogging business.
I love this site they are absolutely great. I just started my very first blog and was completely clueless as for how to set it up. Wordpress made it super simple by helping me get started and customizing my blog. Now I've made three posts to my blog and it's running smoothly along! I would recommend this site to anyone just starting out with a new blog.
I have read some of the reviews that people have posted for wordpress and they say that wordpress is the best website maker out of weebly, wix and wordpress. I have used it and it is terrible. You can hardly edit your website and without an upgrade, you cannot do anything. I would definitely not recommend this.
Thanks to WordPress, I was able to start a blog and find other awesome blogs to read. WordPress is easy to set up, and the people there are great!
If you're looking to start a blog or website, try WordPress.
If you want to start a blog or a website, this is the eaiest site to use. I've tried blogger and some of the other sites but this one has the most bsng for your buck (it's free to bloggers). Blogger does this weird thing where it puts the text ina foreign language if it detect the ip outside of the U. S and to this day I can't seem to change it. (nor could my visitors. They change their settings to English but blogs still came up in foreign language) You won't be sorry with Wordpress
The level of Flexibility that wordpress gives to its users are 100% awesome. The downpoint that I can think of is that there's a lot of plugins out there and no set of recommendations are in place. Overall its a great platform for websites!
I used to like Wordpress.com - used it myself and recommended it to clients. But over the last couple years it went downhill to the point of being completely unusable. I just spent two days creating a website for a new client and it was so bad that I gave up on it altogether and will no longer use it.
To start with, Wordpress.com got greedier and greedier, moving more and more features to the most expensive plan and adding more and more Wordpress.com branding to the lower priced plans. Basically, if you are not paying them $300 per year for a single website, forget it. There's always been the infamous footer begging every visitor to sign up for Wordpress.com (because is there a single person on the planet that doesn't need a blog, I guess?) - it used to only show on free plans but now it's even on paid plans except the $300/year plan. Now there is also a huge header too, so it's the first thing your visitors will see. As if that's not enough, there is also a floating menu (meaning it's always there even if you scroll down) asking visitors to log in or sign up or report your website for inappropriate content. I repeat, all these are on PAID plans.
In addition, the very useful HTML editor is gone. The new source code editor is actually proprietary markup that is impossible to decipher even for experienced and highly technical users such as myself.
In conclusion, Wordpress.com used to be decent but now is a flaming pile of garbage.
Answer: Nope never happened to me. It might have been a mistake, you should follow up with them.
