Turing is a Scam. Passed all the tests and get no response in the past 11 months. I keep following up with them and they are still giving false hopes. Never ever trust them.
I am CEO of a company and hired a software developer from Turing. This was the worst experience I had having dealt with several software development vendors. Here are some key points that you should keep in mind before shooting yourself in the head (hiring anyone from Turing).
1. The rates Turing charges for average developers is astronomical. If you somehow fall into the trap of hiring anyone from Turing make sure you have a million dollars in you account as you may have to shell out at least half of it. (DO NOT FALL FOR THE TRIAL PERIOD SCAM)
2. TURING does not take any responsibility of the work or deliverables expected out of the developer. The developer I hired did not deliver a single useful function that could be deployed in production even after a couple of months.
3. The developer hired was not professional at all and did not attend meetings on time and would take leaves (PTO) without prior notice.
4. The developer hired was found to be working for other clients even when hired full time.
Turing does not take any responsibility of the actions taken by the developer or the poor quality work products even after overcharging for the developer costs.
Stay Away from TURING is my 2 cents!
Hi, I'm from Hyderabad, India. I am currently a Senior Software Engineer in the Vetting Quality Team, working on improving the content and the codebase. Having completed 3+ months now, I really appreciate the fact that Turing works in the area of vetting developers, since I have a good interest in education, training, and evaluation. I also like remote work since it saves me time and commute, and I get to interact with people from all over the world. The biggest challenges with a non-remote job in my country are the commute time (to and from office), and the large number of meetings on any given day! I am fortunate that most of my meetings at Turing happen late in the day, which leaves me a solid chunk of productive work time during my day. Get really good in your advertised skill set, and be open to views from across the world. You will soon start enjoying working here!
I am Sarthak Sharma from India. I am part of the Growth team and my tasks include generating leads, reviewing data, identifying patterns, and quality assurance. Turing offers great work culture and flexible timings. Since it's remote work it reduces commute time and saves valuable time. Turing also pays more than the average scale
Hello, my name is Atika Sharma from India. I work at Turing as a Growth Data Specialist. Since joining Turing I have enjoyed every single moment as they promote work-life balance. My colleagues and teammates are always willing to help despite us being distributed. Apart from this, I no longer have to spend extra hours of my days commuting to and from work as we are fully remote. This gives me peace of mind and if you are looking to work at a company that prioritizes your health, join Turing.
My experience... I took about 6 months to get a Job... First you do all the programming tests they ask, get an interview with them and wait... You will have to say an amout pf payment... When they present you to the companies, they will inflate the value about 55%, but they say the dev don't pay... but the company doesn't know how much they are paying either. After taxes they get 50% and you about 35%-40% of the inflate salary what leads to overload of work, as company thinks you worth more than you asked. I had a long discussion about that and decided to quit, because they didn't inform me about this part of the process.
Hi, I'm Pâmella Noronha from Brazil. I work at Turing as a Customer Success Specialist and my role involves keeping our customers happy by listening to their concerns and giving them support. Working at Turing is a great opportunity to grow skillset and to learn about different cultures and ways to think - it's an amazing experience.
My name is Saikiran Andhra Pradesh from India. I am working as a DevOps Engineer building resources in GCP cloud. I also have been creating CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and Patch management for the the 5 months l have been here. What l love the most about Turing is that it allows you to learn while working at the same time. Costs and time spent while commuting is saved as the community is remote work. I highly recommend job seekers to choose Turing as there is room for growth.
I'm Abhishek Sarvari from India, and I work at Turing as a Pre-sales Specialist. I have been working here for the past 6 months and I have to say that this is the best workplace ever. There's time flexibility which promotes a healthy work-life balance. Moreover, I get to work from anywhere around the world as long as there's internet connectivity. This is a huge bonus for me as I like traveling and exploring new places. If you are looking for a work environment that has amazing work experience, then you should consider joining me at Turing.
Turing is a company that has changed the way I look at work. Hi, I'm Mukul from Uttar Pradesh, India. I am working as a Frontend Developer here at Turing. It's been 6 months now.
About Turing:
1. Most talented mates across the world in the team.
2. I can work whenever I want, Best work culture I would say.
3. I can save my time by avoiding traveling to the office.
4. I am living with my parents in my village, this couldn't be possible without remote work.
5. It pays a competitive salary, which is good in comparison to others
Struggles of an in-office job:
1. Too much traffic, and too much to travel, if living in a decent place.
2. Had to live far from my home town.
3. Not flexible working hours.
Ivana from Croatia here. As a presales specialist for Turing, I make NTE calls to developers as part of my roles. I've been employed by Turing since January 2022. Instead of hanging out with my car and commuting, I get to spend time with my friends and family, which is wonderful. I adore that the hours are flexible and that I can typically plan my days according to what suits me the best. Finally, I cherish my teammates. I had no idea that such a great group of people was constantly available to help me out, let alone that I will develop close (remote) friendships with several of them. Since I reside in a small village (we don't even have a store haha), finding a good job (or any job) is difficult. Even if you are able to, your commute will undoubtedly be miserable. Turing deserves a try. I did it, and thus far I have had no regrets. Cheers!
Hi, I'm Dar es Salaam from Tanzania. I am Software Engineer at Turing working in the Platform Team for about 4 months. Turing provides opportunities to work with world-class companies to all people regardless of their socio or cultural background without the need to relocate. I hate that there are not too many remote opportunities, a lack of mentorship, and an immature technology ecosystem. I'm glad that I went with Turing and now I don't have to take any tension whatsoever. I would advise the job seeker to just get started with the vetting process. Turing is a fantastic community. There are endless opportunities for growth.
Hi, I'm Andre Fonseca from Canela, Brazil. I'm a developer success specialist at Turing for more than 6 months now and I work with P3 developers from their onboarding, and support, till their offboarding. I love working with a great team that supports me, having a work-life balance, and meeting with people from all over the world! Some of the things I hate about non-remote culture are the traffic and not having a work-life balance. Here at turing I can be with my dogs, do the laundry, prepare healthy meals and work at the same time. It's not because you are working from home that it is going to be easy, but it will be worth it :)
Hi, I'm Shreya Rai from Lucknow, India. I have been working at Turing for about 4 months. One thing I love about Turing is the level of understanding, leniency, and the dearth of micromanagement. A non-remote job would never let me participate in college societies, pursue a full-time course, have time off to myself and chill as I do now. You're going to love it, I promise!
Hi, I'm Amod Shinde from Goa, India. I'm a Software Engineer at Turing in the matching platform. It's been 6 months since I joined. Some of the things that I love about Turing are flexible work timings, unlimited leaves, great management, and no intensive workload, With local jobs, I used to end up spending around 3 hrs traveling in total. There was added work of packing tiffin, ironing clothes, etc. Added to that, traveling to work with extra traffic would add extra tiredness to the mind and body. With Turing, I have time to cook and maintain a healthy diet, I have extra time to spend on myself, improving my skills, working out, and spending time with my family. Now I am less bound by time. I have only scheduled meetings that I need to attend, the remaining I can use to finish the work as per my comfort. Often I travel to different cities and explore the places, I just need a good internet connection and my laptop to do my work. I literally can work from anywhere. If you want work-life balance, a remote job is a perfect job and Turing helps you get that. Also if you are looking for a remote job, the only disadvantage will be your body movement, so I recommend compulsorily joining a gym or doing physical activity every day ( and you will have ample of time for that). Set up a workstation at home so that you are focused when doing a remote job. This will speed up your work
Dear All,
Kafeero Augustine Jonah i applied at Turing in March and completed all the tests and profile, we negotiated the salary then they told me to wait for a match. Its now June and no formal response from them.
Hi, I'm Hugo Vinicius from Brazil. I'm working at Turing for about 7 months where I'm a member of the strategic sourcing team LATAM and I'm in charge of sourcing for strategic enterprise positions. One thing that I like the most about Turing is the work/life balance and the sense of belongingness. I'm thankful to Turing that I don't have to face all the traffic every day like I used to. Turing makes it possible to have a life and organize myself in order to achieve the best productivity. Knows the best times of the day to be productive and organize your life in order to rest and work well.
Hello, my name is Thabiso Maunatlala, and I'm from South Africa. I've been working at Turing for approximately 6 months as a support specialist. When developers come firing down our fort, I'm part of the first line of defense, hehe. I assist developers with answers to their questions via email and chat, as well as information on Turing and its procedures. I like having the opportunity to collaborate with folks from all around the world. Turing also provides versatility. The team and leaders also encourage each other to flourish. The most serious issue in the non-remote world is excessive traffic. It's never easy to go home late and leave early. Turing allows me to spend more time with my family while still allowing me to pursue my interests. Be prepared to be challenged to expand your horizons. Do not be sluggish, and most importantly, have fun!
Answer: My experience hasn't been good. They keep you waiting with no response.
