BEWARE!
April 21, 2024

I would give them - stars if I could! I spent $60+ dollars for junk! They lied about shipping and there customer service was VERY rude! Well I finally got the bulbs and I was needless to say very disappointed! One bulb was very-very dead the rest I planted as directed and nothing is growing? So sad I suggest you stir clear of this company!

I naively ordered 5 plants from Tulip World in June. Planted them the minute they arrived, even though the plants looked dead. One finally grew, a clematis that, three months later, is just barely three inches tall. They are all in separate pots, with new planting soil, in a perfect location. When I first contacted TW, a couple weeks in, they told me to keep trying, as they sent plants in "dormant conditions", so it takes 6-8 weeks to see any growth. Well, so much for that line, now they claim I can't get a refund because it's been too long. They did offer me a "gift certificate", but let me think... they sold me DEAD plants the first time, so why would I want more?

I guess I will be contacting BBB, their state attorney general, whoever I need to about their poor business practices. I don't take kindly to companies who make it a practice to cheat their customers.

I ordered a variety of irises last fall. Not 1 is viable. Customer service would rather play games with send me x, y, z. Every compliance comes with another request. When I tell a company that not a single item is viable, send a photo as requested, and they keep playing games, it's obvious they aren't going to honor the guarantee. I know know from reading numerous other reviews, this is exactly what they do. Save yourself the frustration and money and shop elsewhere

Most Corrupt People in the Plant Business!
June 21, 2022

These people purposely send out failed and dead plant material and then don't take care of customers. They prepackage their products in Fall and then never look at them again, even before shipping out 6-9 months later. The plants remain in plastic or paper bags and sent out in unknown condition. When the majority of the order is rotted, smelling and bad, they will send the same failed product again and again or issue a gift card that does NOT include shipping, so they get their money and you will be forced to pay shipping again for THEIR failures to perform. You can't get a refund, and you can't speak to the owner or Manager, they don't get on the phone for obvious reasons. This is blatant fraud! These people are no friend of the community!

Poor quality
July 27, 2023

About half of my bulbs were rotten mush. The others were quite small. I tried to contact the company for a replacement or refund, but they would not reply or take any remedial action. Very dissapointed in the order. Will never order from them again.

I ordered flower bulbs from this site or a related site and started receiving regular emails from Tulipworld.com. As best as I can remember (it was a couple years ago), my order came as expected--no complaints. However, after a while of not using the site, I tried to "Unsubscribe" from their emails using their "Unsubscribe" link. The "unsubscribe" has never taken effect (I've tried multiple times). To make matters worse, I've tried to use Outlook's "Block Sender" on this site, and STILL I keep getting the emails. (Block Sender works fine on other sites I use it on... just not on this one.)

Rotted Bulbs Twice
February 13, 2023

I purchased 4 amaryllis bulbs from Tulip World in 2022 and they all arrived rotted and so soggy they were dripping water. The bags had mold all over them. When I asked for replacements they made me send photos for proof I wasn't lying. They agreed to send 4 new bulbs, which took 2 weeks to get to me and they were all rotted as well. I wish I had read all the online negative reviews about this company I'm seeing before I bought from them.

Worst company yet-
The order I received did not perform- got a credit- placed another order in October-
Upon inquiry was told it would ship mid-November- it did not- told it would ship mid-December- it did not...
Stay away from them- the bulbs I got from Home Depot and Walmart were 100% better quality

Chalk up another angry customer to Tulip World.

They say they guarantee bloom but they are not so clear on what happens if you are sent the wrong item, which is what happened to me. I ordered a specific color of tulips for 12.37, paid for shipping and tax, which brought it up to about 23.50. They bloomed and are totally the wrong color. So I took photos as they request and sent them in so a customer service person could handle the case. First, I heard nothing back for a week. I wrote again. Two more days went by before I got an email saying very briefly, sorry for any inconvenience, here is a gift certificate. For 12.37. It didn't cover the shipping or tax even though they sent me the wrong thing. I tried to use it and it didn't work. So I emailed to say it didn't work and got nothing back. Wrote AGAIN and said wow, some customer service. This time they answered, saying they had got my email, but not explaining why they didn't bother to answer. They did include detailed fussy instructions on how to make the GC work so I went back and reordered my specific color of tulips, which were now 2.00 more base price and I had to pay the shipping and tax on this order all over again. So in the end, I paid half again as much for the item I wanted, even though they were at fault.

Don't shop here. The guarantee is flawed. The communication is mediocre and they will charge you more money even if they screw up the order.
Very disappointed. I will probably try to cancel the second order and demand a refund as the new bulbs won't even ship until this Fall, and then I'll have to wait again for next spring to see if they're right. Super frustrating.
I should probably be glad the damn things even bloomed, after reading all the other reviews but wow.
(P.S. Right after I wrote this, they reached out and pointed out in the terrible email they sent that they did provide a separate coupon code for free shipping. Will see if it works or not. Still not jazzed: the communication is so poorly handled.)
