I have been a yahoo user for years. Recently I have stumbled across there travel site. It's nice to share your places and experiences and also track your vacations and see where you have been and even plan a trip.
I liked being able to offer our experiences of trips and locations as much as being able to track the places we have visited as a family. My children really like showing everyone where we have visited. They even allow you to upload pictures of your trips. It's a fun site to spend some time on and share trip, travel, vacation stuff.
The AC is regulated and they keep it hottttt in the rooms. They tell you to keep the windows curtains closed and the AC turned to 64. That does no good. The toilet also backed up. We were provided with a plunger as it o curred continuously during our stay. Called the front deak Twice only to be told by a "Savannah" (rude) that a maintenance person nor a manager were available and that the most they could do was bring a fan. The fan delivered could not even stand by itself without being propped up with something! OK breakfast... (powdered eggs) will not stay here again! WORSE HOTEL EVER.
Do not book your flight through Yahoo Travel if you have anything better to do than stay on hold for (literally) hours and hours.
We booked our flight from the Yahoo Travel website in a straight-forward fashion. It was easy, fast, and the best price. The thing is, we have an infant. When we tried to add our son to the itinerary online, it would not let us do so. The site said to add an infant, you have to first book the adult tickets and then call them to add the infant. That's what we tried. I called them, and they said they cannot add the infant to the itinerary, but we have to call the airline directly. So, I did. The airline said it is impossible for them to do so for two reasons- it's against the law for them to tamper with a booking made by a third party, and there was more than one airline on the itinerary. They obviously cannot add to the tickets of the other airline.
I called Yahoo Travel back, and they were unwilling to help me until I begged them to do something. Finally, after a dozen or so calls and HOURS on hold, they escalated my case to the supervisor, who was, of course, not in the office. I had to call back the next day. I did. 20 minutes on hold later, they said he was busy and he would call me back in a couple of hours. Yeah right. Two days later, having not heard from them, I have called them again, and I am on hold now as I type. Horrible experience.
