Asked for a refund in February, meter reading sent monthly but estimated bills sent showing erroneous usage. Now July and still not had refund although their charter states refunds will be processed with seven days. Call centre in South Africa and Head Office in Glasgow no coordination between the two. Have made at least 20 phone calls. Appalling customer service No reply from complaints department not even an acknowledgement

Still waiting for final bill and refund 3 months after moving house and leaving the company. Have made numerous phone calls with no resolution. Their complaints procedure state they resolve most issued within 48 hours. Have sent numerous e-mails and no response. Look at their reviews on other sites they are doing the same to so many other people. Awful company avoid at all costs.

Utter shambles
March 2, 2021

Joined Together Energy when I rented a house for a year. Despite countless hours on the phone with them trying to set up an account I never received ANY email, letter or bill from them. The experience of their customer service was an endless cycle of calling them, explaining my entire situation from scratch, including giving initial readings, listening to their half arsed apologies and assurances that someone would look into it and call me back - then I would hear absolutely nothing. Repeat.
Utterly frustrating.
6 months after moving out and closing the account I finally received the final bill - my first ever bill.
Under ofgem backbilling rules, energy companies can't charge for usage more than 1 year ago so I'm not paying it until they correct it.

Avoid at all costs! Together Energy couldn't successfully switch both Gas and Electric from my old provider and I have now been charged by both suppliers for the last 3 months. I called Together Energy on 25th June to first lodge a complaint, this was the last time I was able to speak to anyone in customer services despite numerous failed attempts. They have now implemented a call back service - not one of my calls has been returned since June and they have stopped responding to email enquiries. In addition, when logging into the complaint portal my complaint case has not even been assigned to an agent yet.
I don't think I'm the only one experiencing this as Together Energy are now at the bottom of Which's rating tables
I have now reported them to the energy ombudsman.

I am owed nearly £300 by Together Energy, each person I speak to tells me a different story, 2.5 months after leaving them I still don't have my refund

Just awful

The Summary
============
Very incompetent - they do not respond to e-mails, phone call waiting times are horrific, staff are ineffective, complaints you make are "lost", bills are vastly inaccurate and they do not return account credit when you leave. Dealing with them will carry all the ease & success of running knitting lessons for cats. I had to use the CAB to make progress... two years of stress for a one year contract. You will spend a lot of time on the phone, but the benefits are that you will learn how to calculate your own energy bill, you will learn about the rules & regulations of the UK energy sector and how you can benefit from the Ombudsman, CAB & the Scottish court's simple procedure.

The Review

I left Together Energy in January 2019, sadly, they did not leave me! It took over a year to get my account credit back and exactly one year to get a final bill. It is painful to deal with them, phone calls & e-mails are either ineffective, not answered or ignored. They claim to reimburse credit within 10 days, which is simply untrue, as it was a false promise they made several times in the year after I left them.

Can you believe or trust their bills? My "final" bill showed that they owed me £14, but that was recalculated to show that they actually owed me more than eleven times that amount at above £160. That is 1100% of inaccuracy!

When you battle for a year without success it is obvious you are not going to progress alone against Together Energy. I had to turn to the CAB, who were able to speak with Together Energy and point out the rules they had flouted. They also sought compensation for me and received a commitment to return my £163 account credit plus £75 compensation for their awful service.
