I tried to get a campaign going, but their navigation sucks. Their customer support does not help much, either. There's a rep called Cierra Cox, who, will, supposedly get on the phone with a potential client, but she flakes -- she also does not properly read e-mails. That happened to me twice with her, and I chatted with another person who had the same problem. $#*! Taboola.
Don't even think about signing up for Tabolla. I cancelled it 3 time changed my credit card and they are still billing me $100.00 every month and I am not running ANY Ads. They will steal your money Let The Buyer Beware
I don't know what the problem is. Maybe they just do not like their customers or perhaps they are disgruntled. These people are off the chain! In my site I advertise turmeric tea that helps with sleep. They told me my ad is unacceptable because to advertise a tea that enhances sleep is a "medical claim." In order to run my ad now, I need to site scientific research and so forth. I would totally agree with them if my product did not work, but because it is a truly great product that helps relax people, I don't see I to eye with them.
Many companies pay money to advertise these fake gimmick products that don't work. I bought Prevagen yesterday from GNC and I found out it doesn't work. Turmeric Tea has helped people relax for 5000 years in the past, and if we manage to survive our against our own stupidity on earth, the custom of drinking Turmeric tea will still be here 5000 years ahead from now. I guess I am just fed up.
Come to think of it, nobody tells Coca-Cola that they need to stop advertising because High-Fructose syrup is making people who drink it diabetic. Alcohol the same. Its only when a person tries to advertise something positive do they become harassed. If I owned a liquor store and advertised on Taboola I would have no problem! Buy the F****** boose. But Turmeric tea sets of a big nasty red flag.
This website is absolutely unprofessional! From customer service to the people working on ads, all nutheads!
First the way you set up an advertising campaign is ridiculous! It publishes the campaign without uploading all the information and pictures needed. Then you have to go back and edit your campaign to add all the missing information.
Second, it takes them forever to publish your ad! They say it takes 2 business days, but that's a lie! It takes way longer than that! And if you try to email support, they won't answer you until another 2-3 days! What a joke!
Third, I eventually was able to start an advertising campaign with Taboola for my android app. I received hundreds of clicks, literally every day so many clicks that I was so happy my ad is successful. Then I went to my game dashboard, and there are not that many clicks, and absolutely no one installed the game! I emailed their useless customer support that this seems to be not very true clicks which could be scam. The first thing I received the next day was a deduction of $75 from my credit card to charge for this ad campaign I had with Taboola. Then they answered my email later that day asking for screenshots to prove my point that this is scam! Absolutely horrible service!
No matter what your business is, stay away from Taboola! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!
Make no sense to lay it out that way frustrating. Going from page to page to get story. Some adds are exceptable but this is ridiculous. If you have a slow phone it gets really bad. You want the story so you concentrate on going from page to page. Not stopping to see other story's just trying to get to the one they offer. Finally you give it up and go out. So they lost your attention. Just a failure in all. Find a way to clean it up a little. It would behoove you in the long run.
I wouldn't trust them as far as I can spit, I automatically blacklist all their ads and redirect urls via their domain and sub domains, worst company even worse than the other ad companies out there, just today I ended up watching two ads of websites that are reported as scam and phishing...
So, I have an app that shows the location of the person and the items they look at and also sends them a message when they first come on the website and when they return, It keeps this record and shows me each time someone logs in. Today is Nov 5th, I started Taboola Oct 19th, Everyday I was seeing the same what I thought were people coming to the website and going to the same page but never purchasing anything or going to any other page, they were doing this, sometimes 3-4 times a day the same what I thought were people. Then I started to see a pattern and realized this is a FAKE BOT STEALING MONEY FREAKING SYSTEM they have going on, took me a month to figure out they are fake and use bots to steal your money! 98% of the so called people 9BOTS) that came to my website where the Same BOTS looking at the same exact thing every time! BEWARE!
I am tired of seeing exploited women used to get attention. I don't care who is the "most beautiful woman" in the world. This feature keeps returning on a regular basis. I am also offended by showing half naked women to draw in readers. Keep your "peep shows" out of advertising. This is the 21 century, not 1950's.
Taboola will steal your location info, and make fake ads that don't make any sense, with vaguely related images, these ads are either scams or clickbait, and will never lead you anywhere useful.
I read that Taboola was a good way to advertise my Art Podcast so I found them online, the site suggested I create an account so I did, I entered my email address and it took me right to a page to start a campaign, it NEVER asked me to set up a password. I went ahead with the campaign set up, it took my info, my web link and then took me right to a page asking for a credit card? HELLO! Who sets up an ad campaign with NO BUDGET? Who sets up a campaign with NO START or END DATE? Remember when Gordon Ramsey put two pieces of bread on a girls ears and called her an IDIOT SANDWICH... that is exactly what the CEO of TABOOLA needs to do, put two pieces of old moldy bread on each ear, look in the mirror and say IDIOT SANDWICH really loud. You get NO MONEY from me and I suspect you are losing millions for the same reasons I've laid out here today. If you ever go to sell your company, potential buyers will read online reviews, in your case they will RUN because you company has no value. I saved all the emails I sent and all the responses I received, anyone looking at them can tell that you people don't give a rats $#*! about your (potential) customers. See the attached image with Links, if you have to ask your potential customers for all the details in an email because they couldn't get your site to work, then you failed... and on top of that... GUESS WHAT, THE LINKS DONT WORK EITHER! FAIL FAIL FAIL
Every ad is clickbait; Every ad is not real (probably); Every website has at least 10 taboola ads. When you put one taboola ad on a site, you usually have at least 15, which pester you with here's why, shocking etc.
They run scam adds such as one for face mask from Shipways.com. You order the mask and they never send them and the phone rings one time and then disconnects. Why do you not run background checks on the companies before you run their adds. Will block your adds every chance I get. SCAM!
Seemingly happy to allow illegal phishing sites and scam sites to advertise in their network. They should be investigated and closed down, but seemingly are untouchable.
My campaign was under review and before it was active I decided to try a more trusting website since I seen all the bad reviews and I was still charged $30.00 for absolutely nothing. I'm dealing with this still.
Sucks. Total wast of time. Misleading. False headlines. Avoid this site. Last one I saw was a woman with big breasts hunched over clutching her midsection and this was for prostrate symptoms.
Worst site ever. Clicked on it a few times and had to go through page after page to find original story where my friends just googled it and found it in a second... also it's pure lies. I'm an ironworker and its latest one was 25 jobs that are dying... in fairness these were all on one page but how will an ironworker ever be obsolete. And you had lawyer and accountant as jobs to avoid... whoever wrote that story needs to get into the real world and get out of their mothers basement
They use headlines that pull you in, then lead you down a windy, useless path which eventually may or may not get to the point of the article. Plus, my antimalware scanner found malware in their banner ads. Stay away.
The little programs sponsored by taboola ads have misleading titles and take twenty minutes or more to give information that could be done in 30 seconds. They repeat things over and over or add totally irrelevant information just so they can show more ads. I refuse to even read them anymore
Answer: Taboola is a joke, literally a joke. I went to sign up, thier site didn't ask me to set a password, it didn't have a start date, an end date or a budget amount to set? They did however ask me for a credit card to get started. LOL
