I went to the Starbucks today, Sunday, December 8,2024, at 1200 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA *****. Despite the fact that it gets dark outside about 4:30pm this time of year, Manhattan Beach Starbucks supervisor Aidan suddenly closed all the black window shades, making it depressingly, unsettlingly dark inside the Starbucks before it was fully dark outside. I asked Aidan why he closed all the window shades, and he said he was instructed to do so by Starbucks corporate for security. WHAT?! HOW IN THE WORLD DOES COVERING ALL THE WINDOWS WITH BLACK SHADES INCREASE SECURITY? IF ANYTHING, IT DECREASES SECURITY SO A THIEF OR KILLER CAN COMMIT HEINOUS ACTS INSIDE STARBUCKS WITHOUT ANYONE OUTSIDE SEEING HIS/HER ACTIONS, AND CAN RUN OUT OF THE STARBUCKS WITHOUT ANYONE INSIDE BEING ABLE TO SEE WHERE A CROOK OR KILLER IS GOING OUTSIDE!

WHAT COULD STARBUCKS CORPORATE BE THINKING TO COVER ALL THE WINDOWS WITH BLACK SHADES IN THE LATE AFTERNOON WHEN IT ALREADY GETS DARK OUTSIDE SO EARLY, THERE'S NO SUN, AND THE SHADES ACTUALLY DECREASE SECURITY!

Moreover, I called the Starbucks corporate customer service phone number *******282), and the person who answered IS NOT EVEN IN THE UNITED STATES! SHE'S IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY WITH A FOREIGN ACCENT AND NO KNOWLEGE OF STREETS AND ADDRESS IN THE USA!

SADLY, STARBUCKS SEEMS TO BE GOING DOWNHILL.

The coffee in Starbucks is bad. It does not have any taste or aroma. Each time I have had coffee, they serve coffee with no bean strength.
Unless they improve the coffee flavour, people are going to find other alternatives.

I will never go to Starbucks again and I have deleted my app when last week they charged me $7.09 for an iced vente vanilla Chai tea latte. When I got to the window I asked the girl that I found out was a Gen Z what's going on and her reply was "corporate greed". Sounds about right!

Purchased a drink without the ice. Was provided half a cup. Spoke to them and asked if they thought it was acceptable and was dismissed… absolutely appalling customer service… I didn't want half a cup of ice..

Purchased a gift card in Canada with US dollars - was assured by cashier and manager I would have the full value when returning to US - when I got back to US and gave as a gift it only had $14.55. They charged me in USD but only gave me 20$ Canadian in value. When I contacted Starbucks they gave me the run around. This company steals enough from the public already.
