I've been a Soundclick member, as both a listener and artist since 2003. They are the oldest music hosting site on the web (since 1997). They did go through a rough patch for a while and needed some updating around the time when a lot of other hosting sites started appearing. This period caused some bad reviews. However, a number years ago they did a remarkable job of refurbishing their site - both for listeners, and for artist administration. Speed, graphics, and useability are all now first rate, and subsequently, they've attracted a lot more high quality independent recording artists. I also like the fact the public can listen to music without having to become members, though there are some advantages to membership.
The owner is nice when dealing with customers (Dr. Jekyll), but Ally Byrd (Ms. Hyde) has made the most unprovoked condescending remarks I've ever heard from a customer service rep. It leads me to the conclusion that she either needs to get laid (properly) or get a higher paying job.
My band began using this website close to 20 years ago. It does everything a music site should do and more, with Millions of other artists to share and compete with on their daily charts. Because it is independent there is obviously a lot of very amateur music on the site. But lots and lots of incredible Talent as well. You can stream music for free, you can purchase and download music as an artist you can get paid for selling your music on the site.
I enjoy using this site. It`s a great site for singers/rappers/producers/beatmakers to get together. Here you can buy or sell or discover new beats/music.
I wish their layout was a lil cooler though. It looks crappy and boring at first eyesight.
These guys have a bad rap and not sure why. They have a product and service that's been around for an eternity in this fast paced digital age. I think people expect every free site that has a pay-upgrade option to give away the farm and be a non-profit organization. I have been on the site for over 15 years and the one time I needed help they were right there. I am not affiliated with the owners, not a paid endorser, and not a fake reviewer. Just a recording artist that was glad to have a venue for early music releases when there was NONE.
Big thanks to the SoundClick folks!

If i could give no stars I would, useless rude customer service who delete your account without telling you so don't waste your time on your account upoading your music, avoid by all means, not worth it
SoundClick.com admin are NAZIS. Expect to be discriminated against, expect a holier-than-thou attitude when emailing them, expect unilateral decisions made with YOUR account and YOUR music without any explanation.
SoundClick has been in decline for years, and I could never figure out why until I had to deal with their admin and support staff. They are a shining example of how NOT to run a business/website. Absolutely zero appreciation for their customers.
This site won't "wow" you. It doesn't have a very sleek interface and it's a bit hard to navigate sometimes. It's been around for quite a long time and not much has changed since it started. That said, there is a LOT of music to listen to. It's original music. You can buy music if you like. It is functionally sound.
If they updated the site with a sleeker, more modern interface, it would go up to 5 stars for me.
REASONS TO USE
[1] Lots of content
[2] Original content
REASONS TO LOSE
[1] Interface is a bit clunky
Racist, nazi, $#*!ed, outaded... soundclick is the worst place to buy/sell beats, the site looks like the launching 1997 and nothing has been updated to a modern design/template. They still use flash. They bout to sink because someone released a new site like soundclick but better and modern. SoundLyt.com
I use to go to soundclick in 2006 for beats and i thought to go back see what the new generation was coming up with. When i say all out garbage please believe me. The sound of the beats sounds like someone lazy made them or something ive heard before. I need a new site for beats if anyone knows good sites for beats let me know cause soundclick is not it! I REPEAT SOUNDCLICK IS NOT IT!
SoundClick has a rating of 3.8 stars from 15 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. SoundClick ranks 22nd among Bands sites.
