Thanks so much to Shot In The Dark! We hosted a fundraiser using Murder on The Continental Express via Zoom. Everything worked perfectly. All of our guests enjoyed the evening. About 25% guessed who the murderer was but 100% had a lot of laughs and lots of fun! Thanks for all your support leading up to our event. I plan to try another one with a group of friends soon
Our establishment hosts Mystery Dinner Parties 2-3 times a year, for the last 6 years. As our options were running out of mysteries to choose from our usual mystery provider, and the Victorian theme is all the rage we chose "The Mysterious Affair at Stirling Hall".
I didn't think it would factor so greatly but the very thing that cause excited involvement with patrons, it lacked. No riveting death scene, no shock at someone falling from a seat at the table, or lights going out! And mostly No evidence to review and ponder.
The voice messages were ok but not enough. I felt underwhelmed.
"Shot in the Dark" mysteries was ironic as that there is NOT a shot in the dark just a voice saying a murder was committed.
We filled in the gaps as best we could, food was delicious and costumes were outstanding, we all had fun... but I wouldn't recommend or use Shot in the Dark Mysteries again for the price they charge and for this type of mystery.
The hassle free, easy solution to murder mystery parties! These were so easy to set up and i love that there is a mystery for everyone! I Highly recommend to all! Also there customer service is very helpful and easy as well! I served murder on the continental express and it was truly unforgettable!
My bestie told me to do this for my 30th and it took some convincing because the last time I went to a murder mystery party it was really dull with people just reading cards in a circle! Anyways, I gave in and I am so glad I did. It was a riot! They had this add on that let you bet on the horses as a side thing to the mystery which was brilliant but the murder mystery was nothing like I remembered from before. My people really got into the accusations and were yelling across the yard at each other. My bestie had too much champers and came up with the wildest theory ever as to who did the murder and why. It was completely mad and completly wrong! I dont know what else to say, I'm not very creative with words and reviews but I had so much fun I thought I should try and let people know!
The owners of Shot in the Dark Mysteries had one of the most unorganized sites I have ever seen. It was hard to navigate and hard to find what I actually wanted to find. I have been throwing mystery parties for years, using various websites, and this one was the worst by far. Once I actually found the mystery I wanted, the process of paying for it was even harder. They hadn't updated their website with a statement saying that the game was unavailable, so when I wrote them confused they responded harshly and acted like they were doing ME a "favor." Umm. I payed them way to much money for this process and will never do it again. USE ANOTHER SITE IF YOU WANT MURDER MYSTERIES!
Srsl this game sucked and the process of obtaining was so difficult it's ridiculous. Their. Website is old and the trailer is horrible
Answer: Their customer service is horrible and idk ow long it will take them to answer you
