Same experience as other reviews below. I downloaded free copy but product is just a scanner. That's all it does. No fixes, so I deleted it. Then one year later auto renew withdrawal for $54.43. No email or proof of purchase. No email reminder the following year, nothing. Their site says my account is closed so I cannot cancel it and each year they continue to take out money despite me reaching out to them on numerous occasions. They just bill your card. No Refund. Impossible to cancel. Stay far away.
If i could give this piece of junk a negative rating I would. From day one this was a product that did not work. On the machine reboot the software said I needed to register it. It was registered with a valid license key only an hour before.
AVOID this application... there are better options out there.
Made the mistake of ordering this product with a payment of $34.95. Product is just a crappy scanner. That's all it does. Scans. No fixes. Then one year later auto renew withdrawal for $54.43. No email reminder nothing. They just bill your card. No Refund after cancellation. If they don't bother. Then you shouldn't either. Stay far away. Shameful.
My security reviver is not working at all.It does not download. They want me to pay another £29.99
Again. I have contacted them!. But no reply. I will be canceling my card so they don't get any more money from account.
Banda
For a number of years I have been a Reviversoft Customer... but no more once I get the current fiasco sorted. They tried to sort problems with my account regarding not being able to login. Then it got worse... the three programs I own and paid for disappeared off their system. I sent copies of my purchase emails, but they wouldn't accept them as proof of purchase. I was told to write to their partner Cleverbridge that does the financial side of things and ask them to supply proof of my purchase, which they did. The idiot I have had to deal with is Christian, and he stuffed my account up a couple of years ago. History repeating itself! I now will have to wait for them to restore my account with all three programs under my current email address. Please wish me good luck... I'm going to need it!
A biopsy scam, starts with $, 6, then when you are willing to pay its $50, then a 140 problems turn up and you have to pay $ 400, drive your expensive cars off a cliff Modi's, the world would be a better place.
So so glad i read the reviews as i started to download this freebee from a reputable website - OOkla you will be getting a complaint also - because weirdly something just didn't seem right about the link pic, the website etc. So, thats ok i thought, just eject it from devices so its not properly opened and downloaded, move to recycle bin, go to empty... wont allow... try again... wont allow... wont allow... Took me flipping ages to get rid. Never had this problem before. Avoid or proceed with extreme caution.
Very bad reviews on your program PC Reviver
Therefore despite the 50% off offer, I can't imagine corrupting my system with your software. I must uninstall. I assume you would disagree of course ReviverSoft, but the facts are the facts. Goodbye!
Downloaded this software and it damaged my computer. Computer stopped booting even after a factory setting reset. It deleted vital files and damaged drives - doing the opposite as what it advertises to do. Expensive product which damaged my computer. Be very careful and stay away from this software.
I am using an old computer that has many problems, so I foolishly purchased this software to help fix it. Now, although I have cancelled this subscription twice, since I know my computer cannot download anything at all, the company keeps renewing the subscription, and will not refund any money. BE WARNED!
Answer: Yes, this is a known rogue, apparently, well spotted and reported. In any case, it may be worth mentioning again, here, that nobody needs a registry cleaner anyway. Over time, and a very short time, too, quite often the Windows registry will fill up with clutter. This is true. Unless you are using software to record and monitor installs and uninstalls, you'll quickly collect, at the very least, references to software that no longer exists on your machine. This isn't necessarily Windows' fault, it's laziness on the part of the software writers who should remove these references when their uninstaller program runs and make sure that excessive registry references aren't created in the first place. If you've been running the same version of Windows for a long time, you will most likely have acquired thousands of records that aren't needed any more. There may indeed be a slight performance hit as a result, but we're not talking about things grinding to a halt, here. The major, and justified, complaint about registry cleaners is that they all seem to adopt different definitions of 'error'. Hence one application will leave behind records that another would have removed, and it's even possible that a poor application will do more harm than good by incorrectly removing references that should have been left alone. Run Cleaner A and it will report no errors after completion; then run Cleaner B and it will find another few hundred errors that have apparently appeared out of nowhere. If you want to mess around with the registry because you're experiencing a noticeable slowdown of your system and you are sure you don't have a virus, trojan, or spyware, and you haven't installed some application that is invisibly hogging the memory or processor time or accessing a drive unnecessarily, then please do a little research. There are some long-established applications out there. New ones are not necessarily any better because they're new; the registry is well-understood and has been for many years. It is also worth getting the free application CCleaner (formerly Cr*p Cleaner) and seeing what else may be clogging up your system. Oh and if you do plan on altering your system registry for any reason, please do make sure you back it up, first. A good 'cleaner' should do this for you, or there are other applications and information about this out there. There are so many 'tools' out there now, but really only one or two good applications are needed, if anything is needed at all. It seems a week doesn't go past without someone in one country or another releasing yet another suite of registry and PC cleaning or repair tools, because there is a public perception that Windows is so buggy that help surely must be needed. The bottom line, though, is if it ain't broke, leave it alone.
