I bought a Plainville organic young turkey for Christmas. Although the quality of the turkey was good overall, they really gyp you on the giblets.
A full set of giblets includes a heart, a liver, and a gizzard. Well, my turkey had a heart... but nothing else! Like many people, I actually use the giblets for a recipe, so I really need them.
Since Plainville's organic turkeys cost almost four dollars a pound, wouldn't you at least expect a complete set of giblets? Anyway, if you do decide to buy one of their organic turkeys, please just know what to expect.
This turkey still had most of the neck attached AND it was not cleaned properly. MANY intact organs were left in the bird.
PLUS, No giblets.
