I RETURNED 7 USED INK CARTRIDGES ON DEC 16,2024 AND WAS ASSURED THAT THE DISCOUNT WOULD APPLY TO PURCHASES NEXT MONTH. NO MENTION WAS MADE OF ANY RESTRICTIONS. I WENT TO PURCHASE A PRODUCT ON JAN 5,2025 AND WAS TOLD THAT MY RETURNS WERE NO GOOD, AS I DIDN'T MAKE A $10 PURCHASE IN DECEMBER. THIS RESTRICTION WAS NOT MENTIONED OR DISCUSSED IN DECEMBER. IN MY OPINION, A PROMISE MADE BY ANY EMPLOYEE OF A COMPANY SHOULD BE HONORED, REGUARDLES OF "COMPANY POLICY". I HAVE MADE MULTIPLE PURCHASES FROM THEM IN THE PAST, BUT WILL NOT IN THE FUTURE.
Upon reviewing all the feedback, it is imperative to consider assigning a rating of 0 to establishments that do not merit even a single star. During a recent visit to procure plastic folders for my students, I inquired about the price-matching policy prior to selecting the necessary items. Upon reaching the register, the attendant appeared unfamiliar with the procedure and sought assistance from the manager, who conducted himself discourteously and unprofessionally. The manager would benefit from immediate training. The folders in question were identical to those available at Target. My decision to patronize this establishment was solely due to its proximity, which, in hindsight, proved to be an unfortunate choice. The Office Depot is located at Grossmont Center. Hopefully, someone from the main headquarters will read it and do something about it. I drove to Target and bought 100 folders there! Bye-bye, Office Depot, you need better staff!
I had an Office Depot reward certificate that's expiring on Aug 31st, 2024. I tried to use it in the beginning of August and found out it's been fraudulently used by someone at a store in the state of Illinois. I chatted with customer service twice on their website and explained the situation. They either just pretended they didn't understand what I was talking about or they don't know what to do in that situation. I just feel unsafe being an Office Depot customer when anyone could use my reward at any time without any consequences. Customer service is a joke. I have been shopping at Office Depot since the opening of my business 17 years ago and I will shop somewhere else from now on.
Today I purchased an Epson 288 Black Ink Cartridge for $16.89 + tax at the Office Depot in Laurel, MS. I also turned in some empty ink cartridges. When I got home I went online to check my rewards account. I discovered that the same ink cartridge was on their web site for $12.99. I called the store and was told that the only way to get the online price is to tell the cashier about the online price when checking out. That is stupid. The system should know what the price of the items are without me having to tell them. Now I have to take the item back to the store (10 miles from my home) to get credited with the right price. This is very inconvenient.
I was just told I must come into the store and pay for my print job that I emailed into the store so I would not have to wait while it was printed. This seems pretty much a bunch of BS as I could not even give the girl my credit card information over the phone. I was told it's the "stores policy". So now I as a busy independent engineer must go down to the store for two trips in order to get my print order done and picked up. Get with the program guys. This is not rocket science.
I went to an Office Depot not knowing it was going out of business. I was looking for a quality chair and thought they would have one. I got one but found out the next day I could have gotten it cheaper if I had ordered it and picked it up or went to a store not going out of business. I called the next morning, and they would not honor the lower price on their own website. Who does business like that? I will never step foot in an Office Depot ever again.
Office Depot's delivery service is a disaster. My order arrived weeks late, and when it did, the items were damaged. Customer service was unresponsive and offered no assistance in resolving the issue. Office Depot, if you want to retain customers, you need to improve your shipping reliability.
I received an email, thanking me for signing up for a trial of business select. Office Depot must be compromised as I didn't sign up for any such thing. Tried to call them and their message says they're having technical difficulties. I bet. There's no way to chat, there's no way to communicate with this company at all. Get ready to monitor your credit Office Depot customers.
They delivered my order to the wrong address….TWICE. It took hours on the phone (several hang ups on their end) and via text to get the product finally delivered, 7 days after expected. Promised a credit, but it was "over-ridden" several times by an employee they would not identify. Again, hours on the phone & via text to seek resolution & due credit. 10 days after the initial promise of a refund was made, and I've yet to receive it. On a scale of 1-10, a 0.25. Staples from here on out.
Purchased a bookcase on their website with next day delivery. It did not arrive and there was no tracking information. Contacted customer service twice but was only told there was a delay, they had no idea when it would arrive. After 10 days I asked for a refund. Customer service cancelled it and sent me a refund confirmation via email. Refund was never received. Contacted customer service about 10 days later and they said there was an error, they corrected it and I got a second email confirmation for a refund. Never received it so I contacted customer service again and talked to a "supervisor". She explained she had now corrected the "error" and my refund would be forthcoming. Got a confirmation of that via email. Still, no refund. It's been 40 days. I have paid and received no product. Spent hours trying to get my refund but they show no signs of refunding my money. Buyer beware!
