What a great Hobby
January 27, 2026

My partner and I have gotten a number of offerings with MRH. Without exception it's been great. We do NOT expect to get rich here... and the site and group have made it very clear that's not what it's about. We both love horses, and enjoy racing. It's a distraction from all the Political chaos in the world. I'm disabled, but watching the races, and following the development of each horse is fun. I can't say enough about the Broodmare bundles, and am on edge right now waiting for MY 1st STG baby to arrive. In addition, I have to say that communication with MRH has been STELLER! When ever I've asked a question or had an issue it's been addressed in a professional yet personal manner. Keep up the great work...

You will NEVER make ANY money on this organization! If your life is so bad you need to lift yourself up by saying you own a racehorse - that you have ZERO control over - and you like throwing your money away - go for it. But BEWARE - most of the horses here get sold or injured RIGHT after you buy them and the price of just a tiny fraction of ONE share is ROBBERY!

BAD INVESTMENT
April 7, 2025

MyRacehorse is a scam and you will not get paid for any funds your horse 🐎 generates. In addition, they have a lottery of who can attend the race your horse is entered in. My Racehorse, Trainers and Jockeys are the only money makers of your investment. MyRacehorse is a Ponzi Scheme.

I have been involved with MyRacehorse since late 2022. I only buy one share of any horse - just enough so that I can peek inside and observe how they train and manage their horses, especially their 2 year olds.

So far I've bought into 10 horses. Only 3 of them are actively racing since 5 of them are 2 year olds currently in training. The other 2 have raced once and are in some kind of holding pattern; either perpetually hurt or perpetually at the farm, or both. Fortunately one of my currently racing horses has placed a few times. Despite this, I've received only $10 in winnings.

I did a pretty extensive review of their race records since the beginning of MRH. It is not good. Most of the horses they offer in no way recoup their costs. One bundle of 3 horses they offered a few years ago made only $720 - 2 of the horses never even raced, and the other raced twice (this one horse cost MRH $600,911 - ouch).

While they do have winning horses, they are not usually owned outright by MRH, but in partnership with multiple owners such as Spendthrift and Madaket Stables (their partners when they owned Monomoy Girl, a $4million+ filly). During this partrnership they earned $350,000 for 2 races-- a pretty good return. But how much did the individual MRH owners receive? I wonder.

And that's the problem. For all the supposed transparency of this organization there is still very little clear when it comes down to the actual dispersion of earnings. In my case, my horse has currently won $259,000, but I have only received $10 (which came from his first win when he earned $57,750). He placed 3rd a few weeks ago, but when it came time for dispersion they chose to withhold the money so they could cover any fee should he enter a future race. Hmmm...

I've outlined my experience just to give you an idea of what you might expect from MRH. I think I got lucky and purchased a decent runner who is actually winning. Despite that I'm not receiving anything. And most of the horses they purchase do not run anywhere near as well as my horse. So if you are looking to earn money from horse racing, your best bet is to simply place a bet on them (they have joined up with 1stBet.com to make that easy). Otherwise, all you can hope for from MRH is to be able to enjoy perks like attending watch parties and 'Owner Celebration Dinners' (but only if you win the lottery). You can also see you horse if they and you happen to be in the area- again, sometimes by lottery.

I did not expect much from MRH and am getting exactly what I wanted out of it- an insider view of the horse racing industry (granted through MRH's filter). But it is still instructional when it comes to racing strategy and how individual trainer's handle their horses. But that's just me. If you actually hope to have a winning horse and make some kind of earnings, your odds are pretty bad. But MRH is definitely winning. Even though their horses aren't exactly earning MRH is wracking up huge amounts of money selling all kind of high priced souvenirs with each horse's name brandished on it.

I fully expect some kind of class action lawsuit in the near future due to their lack of financial transparency about 'costs' and the inability to sell a horse if he/she turns out to be a one of their usual non-winners

For the experience
February 8, 2024

Too many people think that anything short of a Derby winner is a failure. Or their upset with management fees and so on... Look, you are buying a small share of a horse that 99.9% of can't afford trained by the country's leading trainers. It's an experience to get at a small cost and a chance for those who wanted to own to get to know the business better. Experience watching your horse race, maybe attend a live race and with luck get your picture taken. And in a few cases, make a few bucks. With a one time cost that includes all bills, you don't need to worry about the extra expenses. Just relax, and have some fun. But this is a racehorse and they cost a lot of money in upkeep. If you are looking for a pet, get a dog!

Money pit
January 27, 2024

I gave it 2 stars because if you are a fan you can at least get the feeling of owning a racehorse. They are good with updates and videos which is fun to watch and read. The bad? They get injured all the time. One horse I bought into ran one race, got injured, and retired. Money down the drain. I have 4 more and all have been injured for many months at a time. Because of this they incur expenses and use up their money reserve. By the time they race you get $0 even if they win. Myracehorse makes money but you will never come close to breaking even. If you like updates and want to cheer a horse then go ahead and pay the $100 or whatever it is. Just do not expect to see the money again.

Dreadful Experience
January 12, 2024

I have had a few small shares in horses and would recommend the experience to others - BUT NOT WITH THESE GUYS. I'd not go so far as to say its a scam, but it's not what it seems at first sight and I'd never invest a bean with them again. I invested over £100 in a horse which didn't set the world on fire but was placed in many of its races. The investment was based upon it being a one off payment for the horses racing life at a top UK yard.
It was moved to another yard within 6 months and despite doing well at the new yard was sold for about a tenth of its initial cost within 18 months of me buying my share.
That was over 3 months ago and I still haven't seen a penny of the money they got from the sale. And they don't reply to my emails.
THE LESSON OF THIS TALE FOR ME IS THAT THESE PEOPLE AREN'T CLOSE TO OTHER SYNDICATES OUT THERE.
As they say buyer beware!

Purchased Super Stable of 26 horses advertised, listed only 24 horses and now only have 5 left but 2 have not even been sighted King of Swords and Not so Shy.

Of the 18 sold they have gone on to win 9 times, 2nd 3 times and third place 10 times earning $207,139. We miss out on this money and sold all 18 for only $182,450. If kept would have collected more and still have an interest.

So far only have $16 in wallet and with only 3 horses left no way are we going to reach the minimum $50 before we can take money out. Wins a big race pricemoney $ 82,000 and 1 share you get 64 cents.

Also all the horses while in stable earned in pricemoney total of $645,055 but from My Racehorse calculations they are saying only $522,630 mening around $122,425 not included. This mainly been from

1. Tanto $ 43,000 short
2. Artic Fairy $ 47,900 short
3. American Liaison $ 17,200 short
4. Crystalaa $ 18,000 short

Best Horse Archer County if had kept only down -$ 9,770

Rocked if kept had no starts but since sold 17 starts for $ 50,260 in pricemoney, again far better than King of Swords or Not so Shy to name a few.

Worst Horse King Of Swords cost $ 600,000 has not started and kept.

Darksaber sold but if kept only down -$ 487,665 but at least racing.

Management and trainers geld the horses for no reason or sell for no reason, bad trainers and jockeys main reason or wrong distance entered to race.

Think the Queenslnd Punters Club a few years back while not good a hell of a lot more honest than My Racehorse. Definitely not interested in any horse trained by Gai Waterhouse, since the Waterhouse's should not be allowed on a racetrack after Fine Cotton scandal. They have never given me back the thousands of dollars lost because of there involement in Fine Cotton scandal.

Misleading
September 29, 2023

I have been waiting to buy stock in lovesick21 for months. I've dealt with the annoying emails stating that they would work out the logistics with the SEC for all states. Next thing you know they acknowledged they screwed up and instead of waiting until everyone had an equal chance to buy, they just opened up to everyone but Maryland. I recommend not doing business with them if they can't be fair.

I've read all the reviews here and keep seeing the word "investment". Guys! You are buying an experience at myRacehorse, not an investment. Didn't you read the prospectus before you "invested"? There is virtually no chance of making money on your horse--and they make that quite clear--but what you spend will buy you memories that will last a lifetime. You will learn about the "big leagues" of horse racing at very little expense. Know how to make a small fortune in horse racing? Start with a large fortune! It's funny. And it's true.

SO MUCH FUN! I purchased my first shares in the fall of 2019 with MyRacehorse. I have loved receiving all of the informative and educational updates on my horses which include pictures and videos. However, my favorite part of owning Thoroughbred Racehorse through Myracehorse is the friendships that I have built through attending farm/backside tours, showcases and race day events. This is such a fun way to be a part of the sport of kings with one affordable upfront out of pocket fee(no monthly training bills). Additionally, I am proud to a part of a company that always puts the horse first and ensures that the horses are cared for and properly rehomed after their racing career if they don't make it as a stallion or broodmare prospect. Such a great experience.

Hi Tara, we're sorry your horse's journey did not go as you envisioned. We are committed to doing what is best for the horse and sometimes that involves surface changes, trainer changes, equipment changes, time off, etc. We often start off with high hopes and dreams for each of our horses, and it's common to have to adjust our expectations and plans as they progress through training and begin to tell us what they are capable of and what they need. With regard to saving memories, may we ask if you've downloaded the MyRacehorse app? There is a great sharing feature on every owner update post that allows you to save posts to your notes or text or share them on social media. With regard to the quality of our trainers, we are honored to partner with many hall of famers including Todd Pletcher, Steve Asmussen, Richard Mandella and more. We'll certainly keep Shug on our minds for a future acquisition he's also extremely talented. We are always looking for ways to improve the owner experience and appreciate your feedback!

Scammers
May 4, 2023

They sold a graded stakes winner for 400,000 because she didn't win fast enough. Soon as someone bought her she turned around and won multiple graded stakes races. They block you from all your groups if you speak the truth. It's a bit odd to be blocked when you express you feel they are setting you up for their own gain. You fund their business by buying shares. And they drop them into claimers after using the horses reserve for 25 grand. They don't even own majority of the horse. Way to many horses lost (expensive ones too) to small claiming races. They rarely own the majority of the horse. It's supposed to be for entertainment. It's not entertaining to spend lots of money on horses to enjoy them for 6 months before they go into claiming races. Future starts bundle started with 14 horses. Within 8 months 8 horses sold to claimers. The future starts bundle is left with 2 or 3 horses out the bundle after after 10 months.

Love My Racehorse
April 24, 2023

My Racehorse is wonderful for those that want to share in the excitement of a racehorse, but are intelligent enough to know that this is NOT a way to get rich, or even break even. MRH is simply entertainment. MRH is transparent, provides frequent updates on horses and hosts truly fun events. If you are looking for a lucrative investment this is not it. Get with a stock broker and stay away from race horses. I Love MRH and thoroughly enjoy attending events, meeting the people and my horses.

Myracehorse.com

DONT DO IT! DONT DO IT!
You are better off just betting on horses.
If you really feel you want to have a race horse then buy one and pay a trainer. At least you will get your money back and have a say. Myracehorse.com is a scam. Bought 10 shares for $750 when Magical Ways didn't win his 3 races they put him in a claim race. He won and then sold, "claimed". You get $24. When they want to wipe their hands they put the horses in a lower class of running to sell. I lost $735 on my shares and had no say. No voting.
Damn, talk about the horse business, thought boarding was bad...
