My Clean ID

Called to update System Mechanic and ended up with a bill for 470.00. Told them I did not want Mycleanid but they charged me anyway. When I asked for refund was told I had to wait 5 to 10 business days for refund. This was on 17 May and it is now the 12 of Jun and still no refund. These people are liar's and scammers stay away.

Stay away! I engaged a 'tech' on chat to help with the "free" initial 'MyCleanID" scan. Free scan locked up. 'tech' suggested that I needed to purchase the full version "special Deal! - 3 years for $400". I said, "lets see if it works first". (I have the entire transcript of the conversation) Agent 'bent over backwards' to oversell. I decided to go for 6 months for trial purposes. Agent noted that I was in Canada, but everything should work fine. When I reported that it doesn't work in Canada, got a range of excuses. Immediately cancelled the subscription. These clowns are crooks. They upsell, oversell, overpromise and lie, lie, lie. I will be spending several hours undoing the damage from these . STAY AWAY!

I purchased this MyCleanID on friday 6/2/2023 after continuous pressure to do so anytime I contacted System Mechanic. I was told if I did not like it I could always cancel and get a refund. This MyCleanID started continuously running on my laptop. I could not use my laptop until I was able to delete this. After deleting I was able to resume using my laptop. I called them several times 6/4/2023 about problem with this and as soon as I requested refund they would hang up. I had paid with PayPal so I opened a dispute. I need my money back. I paid $127.20 I called again today and they told me to go to my credit card company because they are not going to give me a refund.

At the beginning of the year, I canceled all but one service with these people. On November 17, they took money from PayPal for a service and told me they couldn't give a refund. They have no idea what I have in store for them.

I purchased MyCleanID through their telephone chat. The person deleted a bunch of my files she said were dangerous and then put others in the MyCleanID Vault. I tried to retrieve some files from the Vault but could not. I then did a online chat with them to get the files from the Vault. Support told me I had to purchase more services from them to extract 'my' files. It think it was over $300 dollars, but I didn't copy the conversation. The woman that sold me the MyCleanID, deleted my files, put other files in the Vault did not inform me I had to pay another $300 ransom to get access to my own files that were put into a Vault of MyCleanID which I purchased for $200. What a scam.

The techs were very helpful with setup.
I'm looking forward to identity protection at at a low price of $5.00 per month.
