This is an awful service! I scheduled an appointment and had a mediocre meeting. Called for a follow up and the doctor never showed up to the appointment. She couldn't reschedule for 2 weeks. Rebooked for that appointment and she canceled the day before the appointment. Then was leaving the country and wasn't available for 10 more days. Every time I call to schedule a new doctor, I spend over an hour on the phone or am promise a call back within 48 hours. Which has never happened 3 calls later. This is the worst run business I have ever seen!

Very clearly have strep throat, possibly bronchitis. I work from home and my insurance has this option. Figured it'd be nice to use this to get treated so I didn't have to leave the house feeling as bad as I do. Instead of a video chat I got called on the phone and it lasted maybe a minute. Was told they can't do a strep swab (obviously) over the phone and so all they can do was put in a cough medicine prescription for me. Said no thanks. Still had to pay $70 dollars to not even speak with someone over video and hang up the second I said no to the cough medicine as I already have DayQuil. Please let me be your mistake so you don't have to experience it. 0/10 completely useless.

Mucinex is advertised as something that loosens and brings up congestion but my experience it does the exact opposite.
Mucinex makes the mucus thicker and creates a weird sensation that almost makes you feel like you're choking it makes you feel worse

Bad service.
April 9, 2022

I have a high fever and flu symptoms. I took a Covid test and it was negative. I reached out for an appointment and got Dr. Matt Shores. He didn't prescribe me any anti-viral medicine like Tamiflu. He said he can't. They also coded my Chief complaint as a cold. I do not have a cold. It feels like the flu!

I asked for a note excusing me from work, and he wrote an excuse note for 1 day. The lady in customer care is very nice and polite, (hence 2 stars instead of 1,) and unfortunately, I can not say the same for the doctor.

The other doctor they had before was amazing. He's no longer there. My appointment was at 10pm, and now it's 12:40am, and still no excuse note for work! Just awful! Please save your money and time and go somewhere else.

Memd is terrible
January 10, 2022

You will not receive a call back in a timely manor. If you opt in for a video call, they expect you to sit by your computer for hours while they search for a provider. 0/10

Worst service and advise I have ever received
December 31, 2021

I called in to speak with a Doc. He told me to keep doing what I'm doing, Mucinex for sinus infection. Said I don't need antibiotics unless its still there for 10 days. I paid $25 to be told to do what im already doing? Then after it gets extremely worse from chest to head for 7 days, I call back to tell them and Im told I can only call and speak with a Doctor every 7 days. I will never use this service again. My spouse uses Teledoc, has the same sickness as I do, they prescribe her antibiotics and something else. She happens to be healing quicker than me. But I need to keep doing what I'm doing? I'm not a typical review person, but I couldn't let this be unknown to others that may get sick and use this "convenient and helpful service"

Stay away from MeMD
November 1, 2021

My experience with MeMD was horrible. I have a subscription with a company that uses MeMD as the provider platform. I have the Primary Care PCP service, Urgent care and therapist included. I scheduled appointments online with the PCP and had been rescheduled on multiple times. I scheduled the appointment online and then I would get a call from the care coordinator that the provider is not available that day and need to reschedule the appt or I had to contact MeMD myself to say that the provider never contacted me on the scheduled visit day. I have had appts with the therapist and they have had trouble with the MeMD system and the coordinator had to call me to connect me to the therapist after the scheduled time. I had issues connecting with a provider and I was told that if I didn't call MeMD back within the 5 minute mark that I would be charged a $50 no show fee. I have called MeMD and you call into the number and have to wait for a representative to answer the call and then wait for them to pull up your information and then transfer your call to a care coordinator and sometimes this can take longer than 5 minutes at that point they already have your $50 and mark you as a no show. Long story short their system for taking customer calls is outdated and their scheduling system is the pits any I would not recommend their service to anyone.

Everything was great until they made an error and treated me like a robot. I spoke with a doctor and told him about the rash over my entire body. He prescribed me a cream, I told him I need a large amount as I am 6'2,200 pounds, when I got to the pharmacy I got two small tubes.

Used them for the day and a half they lasted. I go back to MeMD to speak to a doctor and hopefully get more of the cream that was working and THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO SEE A DOCTOR. I'm not even sure if that is legal. When I pushed back the women on the line kept repeating the same choreographed response. I am not a robot, I am a person in need. She then hung up the phone on me... honestly, she just hung up on me.

I sat in my office astonished and also in enormous pain from the rash and the cuts I gave myself from scratching too hard the night prior when I woke up at 2am from my rash.

I got a call 5 min later from another person who wanted to "follow up" from the previous call. I told her the last women hung up on me, she said "the line got disconnected" She was then dismissive, rude, condescending.

I can't believe this just happened to me.

I get a couple of sinus infections each year. After a couple of weeks of symptoms getting worse, I thought I would give this a try. Never again! The provider I talked to was rude and dismissive. I was told to take Zyrtec. I explained that when I get a sinus infection it always takes antibiotics to get rid of it. He argued with me and said I didn't need antibiotics, and that I could get another opinion. After I paid an additional $67, another provider told me an anti-inflammatory is all I need. Really? I paid $140 for nothing, and I still have to go to urgent care tomorrow!

Waste of money
September 18, 2017

I wouldve given this awful website zero stars, if that were an option, but alas, Ive gotta give it something. So, first off, it took an hour for the doctor to call me, and second, all he did was tell me to drink some water and get some sleep. But the whole reason I was calling is because Ive got a swollen throat with white spots all over it, which sounds like strep throat, but Ive also got sores in my mouth, and according to this doctor, strep throat doesnt cause sores, so it cant be strep throat. Ive also got a major heache, fever, and chills, but none of those matter. Basically, it was a COMPLETE waste of time and money, and Im still very bitter about this experience.

Worse experience ever!
August 28, 2017

I tried to use MeMD this morning. Went through the signup process, paid and was called right away by customer service to confirm information. I was told a Doctor would be in touch within 15-20 minutes. No one contacted me. The visit was for my nine year old that was sick, woke up with a fever and crying that his ears hurt. I called customer service again and was told they were finding a doctor and they would be in touch within 15-20 minutes again. This continued for an hour and a half, still no contact from a doctor. I went to a different online doctor site and a doctor called within 15 minutes without all the hassle. I called MeMD and cancelled my "appointment" with my husbands phone while talking to the doctor on my phone. HORRIBLE SERVICE TO BE 24/7 online care. I will NEVER EVER CONTACT THEM AGAIN! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Especially, if your child is sick and in pain!

Practitioner was Rude
April 27, 2017

Everything except the conversation with the provider (the most crucial part) was fine. The website was easy, the administrator was prompt and responsive in calling to verify details. The provider was a rude disaster though. He was judgmental, curt, rude, cut me off several times--and begun the conversation with a clipped, how can I help you? This, despite the detailed information I filled out, verified by the administrator, and right before him in the screen. He was nonresponsive to questions and was offended that I even asked to confirm that he had the right pharmacy. Not a good company rep, folks, especially for medicine practiced over the phone.

So fast!
April 27, 2017

I had an abscess tooth appear last night. My dentist doesn't have a lot of room for emergency visits, and I hate urgent care, so I decided to try this.
I received a call from a doctor in 10 minutes, and a two minute pone call was all it took to have my antibiotic prescription sent to my pharmacy. I'm so amazed by how quick and easy it was.

Everyone in my family has used it now and we have been cured from everything from traveler's sickness to bronchitis. No going to urgent care, waiting and exposing ourselves to additional sick people. In the comfort of our home, we were treated with any necessary antibiotics. Can say enough about how convenient and easy each experience has been.

It is Great if you know what wrong with you and you need antibiotics,

I don't to pay full doc visit and lab, just straight to point

I highly recommended if you have background knowledge about your medical condition and you know exactly what wrong with you.

You have to try this!
February 11, 2017

My NP refused to call in a script without seeing me, even though I was in her office with the same infection a month before, that had never went away. I went online and had a script within an hour without having to pay her another $300. I am a nurse and I am well aware of how badly the medical community price gouges people. This is genius! Try it! I was skeptical at first but it works!
