I bought 2 beautiful dolls for my girls for Christmas this year and waited for them to arrive, however yesterday I received an email from PayPal saying my order had been cancelled and the money was being refunded. I never received any communication or emails from Madame Alexander regarding this - I wouldn't have even known the presents were cancelled if PayPal didn't let me know. Frustrating because I now have to find another last minute present for the girls. I was looking forward to giving them the dolls, but cannot order on the Madame Alexander website as you cannot trust your order status.

I always wanted a Madame Alexander doll when i was growing up, because my cousin had so many. My parents could not afford one. I finally had a granddaughter that loves dolls as much as I did. I bought her a M. A. doll a couple Christmases ago, so I know I can't receive any satisfaction this late in the game. The doll has been a misfit ever since day 1. I didn't inspect it, just knew it was beautiful. Later, my granddaughter showed her to me. The doll looks deformed. She cannot sit up because her stomach is much enlarged, both arms look as if they were attached backward, and the legs are bowed out from the hips (she looks very odd in any type clothing).
Warning. Mothers and Grandmothers, inspect the doll thoroughly prior to giving as a gift!
