I have made micro loans to KIVA & it feels so good to help people. Some of the requests are bigger but your money is pooled with other small amounts to make up the larger amount. I always got my money back and just re-invested it. It's amazing amounts so small can change people's whole life.
Never heard of this charitable organization until 2 of my credit cards were charged by them. These were never authorized by me & it appeared under the guise of Paypal on my statements. Website says they are located in San Fransisco & Nairobi. Phone number is from North Carolina. The only charity they are helping is themselves. Fraud, Fraud, Fraud!
Kiva is a reputable organization that enables microloans to deserving people worldwide. They've had a positive and meaningful impact on many people... and their gift certificates can be great gifts for kids and people who already have everything they need.
I have come across avastmarkets.com as I was searching for ones with low trading costs and a good reputation. They seemed a good choice and I decided to open an account with them. I never regretted it! You can open a live account with just $1 and they have the lowest trading costs. Very quick deposit/withdrawal, there are lots of different ways to deposit and withdraw funds. Exceptionally good customer service! Any questions you have you can be sure they'll get back to you very quickly. They also have a great range of products to trade. I can only recommend this broker, you won't be disappointed
About a decade ago, I 'invested' in women (with no expectations of financial returns) who live in third-world countries and need a HAND-UP instead of a hand-out. They are looking for a way to grow their business and support themselves and their families. In that ten years, I have re-loaned that same $100 initial donation TWENTY-EIGHT TIMES! If you want to help people help themselves, this is the best investment out there. I say 'investment' because that money gets reinvested over and over again into those who are willing to help themselves... it is 'invested in humanity'. Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.
I was a borrower. I had 30 days to get fully funded. They claim to have millions of donators on Kiva's platform but it's a scam. They encourage you to ask your family and friends on your platform so they can build their Donators encouraging Donators to become members. You are supposed to raise money for the first 29 days. I raised nearly half of $9000. Kiva started to help me or so it seems in the last 24 hours. Long story short I wasn't fully funded I raised about $4700. A lot of my friends and acquaintances donated Anonymously. Kiva's plan is if you don't get fully funded then your donators can get a refund by request. It's a Ploy! They do not notify the Donators. Your in a mindset distraught and embarrassed after begging that I never told any of my friends only to find out you get not even a $0.1. The Kiva's donators may get refunded if they're willing to jump through hoops for their money back. So gut wrenching after all of your sweat blood and tears someone else keeps the benefits and that's the consequences of dealing with Kiva. Kiva keeps all of it! And they are doing it to unsuspecting small business start-ups.
