It was like the advertisement was saying! Don't wait. You get a big box, you send, they send everything back and you get everything online in no time!
This company is nothing short of a scam. Not only did they overcharge me for the box, but they also charged me for converting five VHS tapes and ultimately didn't convert a single one. They claimed it was due to broadcast content on the tapes, which they allegedly "can't convert." Despite this, they refused to refund me for the tapes, effectively pocketing $75 plus shipping costs – a total of $120 wasted. This company took my money and provided no service in return. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

We definitely appreciate our customers, and we're sorry that your experience didn't meet your expectations. When we processed the videotapes that you sent in, there were four that did not contain any home video content. The video footage was all copyrighted recorded TV shows. By law, iMemories is not able to upload copyrighted media such as Hollywood movies, television shows, and news broadcasts to your account without a copyright release.
There were also two videotapes that had damaged ribbons. We were able to repair and process one of the damaged tapes. The other tape we were not able to repair. The outside housing did not have any screws in it, so we were unable to open the housing to repair the ribbon.
We do not automatically refund for tapes that contain copyrighted material, because the extensive digital conversion work was completed. We do make note of the copyright restrictions on our website, as well as in the Starter Guide that is included inside the Safeship Kit.
It is our goal to ensure that our customers have the best experience possible. We have processed a refund for the tapes that could not be processed and the Safeship Kit. I sent my VHS tapes from the 1980's and 90's to iMemories and received them back in a timely manner.
My family is delighted to have access now to our home movies from their childhood! It is so easy and convenient to share them online. We are very pleased with the results!

It has been great, however, I am trying to learn how to better label and sort my memories. Also, when viewing on the tv app, I am noticing that it "times out" and doesn't finish the whole video. How can I correct this?

I sent out 3 tapes but I was told one needed repairs and unfortunately, they were unable to fix it so I only got 2 videos back (I was still charged for three tho). The quality of the audio in one of the two I received is bad and I will need to fix it later. I also did not expect to have to pay more money to have the company to send me the original tapes back as I thought that was included in the first payment I made.

Due to the amount of work, we do not automatically refund for tapes that we can not process. As a courtesy we will issue a refund for the work on the tape that had mold damage. We didn't send out the memories box until over a year after purchasing and there were no issues. My tapes and CDs were processed and available online only days later! I have also received my items back from them. I'd say the whole thing took maybe a month between sending out and getting back. I was so nervous to send my important items but now I would use them again if any old school storage is found!
IMemories is a quick turnaround service. The overall quality really depends on what you give them. Storage plan is excellent and allows you to put various media together and share it with others easily.
