They sold a Steam key for a game that was not available in my country, even they made me fill in my residence country for the purchase.
And after 1 week of opening support tickets, I'm still waiting for a simple reply from them for my refund.
Avoid at all costs. It's just an automated site with barely anyone behind it to cover you in case something goes wrong.
Their system got a bug where you could choose 2 more games from the months you subscribed with classic plan. I was happy cause it seemed to me to be something that was like a "Thank you" for all the members that stayed on Classic plan, even tho we had some months where new accounts would get the choice games cheaper than us loyal customers.
Sadly it turned out to be a bug which they fixed. And not only that, but those who revealed their keys would get to keep them... those on the other hand who didnt reveal them lost them, me being one of them. To think that naively thought it was just a kind act...
Nice way to both fix your mistake and say "F. K you" to all your loyal customers in one go. I have been subscribed since 2017 and I am regretting it now.
I've used this site several times over the years and it has worked just fine! From the reviews it seems that if you have a problem the support isnt the best, but they do definitely offer games at good prices!
Wont let me access my account and paid for games, as they refuse to send browser verification email to me, instead they ban me from support so they can continue robbing others and forget about me as they already stolen from me
Currently a 24 hour delay for a pre order even though the game is already out
Takes up to five days for a refund
Can't get the pre order anymore
So either have to wait until they give out keys or just buy a normal copy
As of February 2022, if you pull up nearly any new game on Humble's website it will list a discount price for Humble Choice Members. For example, see the attached image from Elden Ring Deluxe Edition where it says "Save an Additional $16 with Humble Choice". Sounds like a great deal right? No Astrix or stipulations listed anywhere on the site, you just need to be a Humble Choice member. Well, I signed up for a membership only to find that this price is only available for people who have been a member for 12 months, and new members only get 5% off. I contacted Humble, and 4 days later they got back to me telling me that there's nothing they can do to help me. Meanwhile, the pricing is still listed incorrectly. Readding through threads on Reddit, it seems that Humble pulling dishonest bait and switch tactics is nothing new, definitely stay away.
Don't use them. Paused my subscription but then money came out. I contacted them and told them I was unhappy that money came out when I'd paused my account.
Despite providing screenshots showing I paused my account, they bluntly refused to do anything because their system didnt show a pause.
They often didn't read my response and sent useless information about how its my responsibility to pause the subscription.
I've cancelled my subscription which I've had for years.
DO NOT USE THEM.
Bought product for myself, then bought same product as a gift. That second order is canceled because multiple orders of the same digital product are not possible, but it is charged! "Your money is reserved by the bank" - but never got money back from the bank.
In first place they should not give an option for a second purchase of the same product if that is not possible.
Plus terrible support. Helping me with closing my ticket, lol. Screenshot: prntscr.com/rzxzmd
I've bought a lot of great stuff from here at a really affordable price. You can usually get 5-10 games for about 6.5$. A lot of them are quality games with price tags a lot higher than the sum you pay for the whole bunch.
Highly recommended especially for students and families who look to try something new, save money and get more for their money. It is also a good idea to use metacritic or similar site to check what kind of reviews the games have gotten and see if they are something you might enjoy.
If only HumbleBundle had existed when i was a kid...
I've been using Humble for a few years now. I was sick for a long time and was given a Humble Monthly subscription to help with being stuck at home. Every month, for 12 dollars, I was getting a bunch of games. I might only enjoy 2-3 of them, but that's still great value for games that would normally cost a lot more.
I am still getting the Humble Choice classic sub now. 12 games for 12 dollars every month. I pause more often now because I have a lot of games in my Steam library that haven't been played yet.
Oh and a percentage goes to a charity every month. =)
They have some good deals in their store during the sales as well, and I've often bought a key from Humble, that was cheaper than the Steam sale.
Since I've been using their site for a long time, I have ran into issues with keys on more than one occasion. I've found their customer support to be very nice and helpful, and issues have been resolved within a day or two. I honestly have nothing but praise for their support team.
Due warning: If you're a subscriber, (or buy a charity bundle) don't trade your gift links on grey market sites. Because the games are sold cheaply in aid of charity, their subscriber agreement states that they must be activated on your account or gifted to a friend. They have banned some accounts that were caught selling on the grey market or trading to resellers. Just something to be aware of.
HumbleBundle has a rating of 1.9 stars from 32 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HumbleBundle most frequently mention and customer service. HumbleBundle ranks 26th among Trading Cards sites.
