Ordered some products and only got half of what I ordered. Owner claims that they are custom made materials so there is no refund. The guy also will give you some pretty nasty Returns on your emails when you question about why he can't do his job right. Do not use this site you are just losing money
This company use to put out professional uniforms. Now they are poorly sewn, some are custom made and you wait 6-8 weeks to get it and find out it doesn't fit so you're stuck with it. Many items you order fade and tarnish over time. Uniforms are basically slapped together leaving them to loose buttons easily, insignias coming loose, and threads to pop out. When you complain you get accused of being a liar or even get banned from the site which eventually happened to me. They false advertise, especially about their sewing. Most items come from China and other foreign countries. They put more attention into their enlisted uniforms vs officer uniforms. When it comes down to it, buy elsewhere and you won't have to put with $#*!y women on the phone saying you are the one that is wrong and insinuate you are a liar.
A company that takes customer satisfaction seriously. They advised me not to make a purchase from them because they had the feeling that the product would not meet my requirements. I know plenty of companies that want to push a purchase through, but not Hessen Antique. Very professional. An A++ for customer satisfaction. Eric -The Netherlands
I am new to online purchasing. I made some mistakes in my order. They e-mailed me. I tried to e-mailed back but was unsuccessful. I called their phone, they courteously and quickly resolved all of the problems. I received my order in two days in excellent condition. The products I received are great quality and affordably priced. I look forward to future purchases as I develop my living history project.
Ref: order # ****** My name is Mark Biolchino and not what the name on the jabber site wrote as my name I was told the the boots were undeliverable due to a non existing location and that I had put down the wrong address. I know my own address and would not have made such an error. I was told that it was my fault and that if I paid another $17 that they would send me my boots. I said just refund my money for the boots. I have spent thousands of dollars with Hessen antiques over many years. I want a copy of my original order showing that I had indeed put my correct address on the order form. I want the boots that I have paid for and will not pay another shipping charge. Mark W. Biolchino
I've ordered from Hessen Antiques several times, and I am EXTREMELY pleased with my orders, and the time it took to receive them. They ship promptly! I have purchased their replica Imperial Iron Cross 1st Class as well as their Pour le Merite medal (the Blue Max) for a project I have planned. Very affordable too!
After 7 days of no notice of shipment, I contacted them. They said the items were in another warehouse and were waiting for them. After another 7 days of nothing I canceled my order.
Might sell decent modern day wares, but WW2 replica category has become a side-show of worthless 2nd rate items. Their "hobnails" are actually just cheap studs punched thru 1 leather layer and glued on...came off at 3rd event (see picture). They claimed their German jackboots, from Spanish maker, run true-to-size or even a little large. Nonsense; their Size 13 / Euro 46 is a 12, at largest. I pointed this out to them 2 years ago; repeated site reviews unposted. After I screwed up and trusted them again, when I tried to return my recent jackboots, Hessen refused to refund bc I had "altered" the boots by putting on a light coat of boot polish. Fair-enough; my bad. But now they claim after re-boxing them that they marked them return-to-sender (RTS), no additional postage, handed back to USPS...supposedly on the way...but 13 days later still not mailed from Atlanta to PA. I worked for the USPS...thats not how RTS works, but the 20-something yr old punk kid at their "warehouse" keeps peddling that story.
Answer: About one week. You'll have to figure in Customs as well.
