I hardly use this site anymore because of the updat butr bak in the earlyer days it was the best source on the net, better tha itunes, better than youtuen.

A coworker told me about this site and I was real happy to be able to listen to entire albums for free. I put this on at work and listen my entire work day. Sometimes I can't find the album or song I'm looking for, but you just can't be free so I won't complain.

Grooveshark is super easy to use and has a huge variety of good quality streaming music. It's better than other streaming sites and the best part, it's free! Every so often I've found they don't have the song I'm looking for, but I would say 90% of the time my expectations are met.
Grooveshark has been my go-to service for music for years and I always considered it worthy of five stars, however the soundtrack to ads on Grooveshark have begun to come on automatically. When I manually mute the sound on the advertisements, the audio simply comes back on in 15-30 seconds. The ad soundtrack is on low when music is playing but you can still hear it in the background. If they want to kill the free music service and convert to a paid subscription only model, this ought to do it.

I have my account for years, and they never disappointed me. Any song I wanted, they found. I still have my reproduction lists and love the news that they have now support to mobile.
This website is a savior from boredom! Playing my favorite songs where ver I am or whatever I am doing. Saving playlists, recommendations as per my recently played tracks, good sound quality and promptly updated with new songs! Would have given them 5 stars if they would just improve their search engine a bit, its a bit confusing - not showing results even if a single letter is misspelled.
I love rap music which I always did. Thanks grooveshark for offering so many rap songs (new and old ones). Shame that at this time mainstream pop is the dominator in music industry. Anyway, thanks for this great resource
This is the most utterly useless piece of **** I've ever had the misfortune of stumbling across. Ads that play while you're listening to music, an interface that's both ugly and impractical and most of the time you get a few seconds into the song before it freezes. All in all, a site that makes me want to tear my own hair out and stick needles in my eyes. Words simply cannot do justice to how infuriatingly bad it is. It's beyond me how an entire company can be incompetent enough to produce a site so incapable of carrying out one basic function. Stay away.

3 or 4 years ago, I was using Imeem, but grooveshark beats everything about it. I love grooveshark. You can easily search for songs and artists. It's like listening to the radio playing just your favorite songs.
Except for the initial loading of the page, everything becomes faster after. This includes buffering of the music track. Really nice site, you can check out the songs first before buying the actual album or single. I love it!
Grooveshark is the sweet sweet light at the end of my work day tunnel, it serves me up the tunes that bring me peace and joy amide the turmoil of the office.
And then it comes, like right hook, a new song graciously plucked out of the depths of anonymity, perfectly tailored to my tastes, my favorite song that sings to me, which I was ignorantly oblivious to.
