The pick up driver was prompt, friendly and helpful on a cold dark and wet night. Mohammad at reception was the best salesman selling me an upgrade and insurance which I normally reject. He insisted that I take photos for my own piece of mind and upon vehicle return these were accepted as evidence of prior very minor damage. Return was friendly, easy and prompt with another friendly and helpful driver. The service more than compensates for the small inconvenience of being off site.
Efficient and smooth with a great attitude to customer service by both collect drivers to and from the terminal and the desk staff on duty at both start and return of hire.
Green Motion was the best for me in the way they handled customers. From the online experience to the front desk team, they are just awesome and a place to go if you need to hire/rent a vehicle at competitive prices.
They also offer car drop-offs and pick-ups within the vicinity of their offices, which is absolute convenience.

3rd time I've used Greenmotion recently & each time has been excellent. The cars are clean & new. Prices are great. I had to extend a booking which was easy (1 email). No pressure for CDW insurance and no hard sell. I will use Greenmotion before I use other hire firms.

Overall, we had a decent experience. I like the shuttle service to and from the airport. The staff was friendly. I was a little disappointed when I got home to see I had an almost $400 extra charge to our credit card bill with no explanation; however, I sent an email in explaining the situation, and we did get a refund.

I had a Skoda Kamiq, which was totally fine for 1 or 2 incl. Baggage. Only negative thing was the aggressive sale of additional services (unlimited mileage, insurance, refueling service etc.) After rejecting any further services everything was perfect. Nice car - nice trip!

Overall good but really shocked when I received a ticket for not paying congestion charges Green Motion also charged £68 like an extortionate charges for no reason hence I will have to pay two penalty charges.

Unfortunately, when a Penalty Charge Notice is received, it is sent to the fleet company as they are the registered owner of the vehicle. They then charge Green Motion handling and 'Transfer of Liability' fees, which is why we must charge an admin fee in such circumstances. To clarify, this charge is not to provide you with a notification of the fine, as it is the responsibility of the issuing authority to do this. Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
Answer: They are robbers and scammers, never think to rent a car from green motion, they will charge you thousands of euros, instead buy a new car
