Experts Exchange - This is a bunch of of thieves. I requested cancellation over the phone in 2021... the account was never cancelled and i never check for an email confirmation. Now they charged my account 1 year in advanced. This time i waited on the phone to make sure i got a cancellation notice on my email.

I have seen a lot of search hits into experts-exchange but it always forces you to do a trial or subscription first. I had a "hard to find an answer to" question so I bit the bullet on the trial. The trial was 7 days. Here's what's interesting about my experience:

-The answer to my question was references to external sites
-The billing automatically kicked in after 7 days
-Although the advertising discusses the monthly fee (Almost $20 a month), the fine print is that this is billed "annually" (LOL) as in "Pay for the whole year now".

I realized my trial was over... not with a question if I would like to continue... but with a bill for over $200 US dollars.

I realized that the fine print was "interesting", and being good, asked them to consider changing the billing to monthly. Instead of obliging (what an honest business who wants continued business in the future would do), they would only explain how they trapped me fair and square LOL. See attached photo for dialogue.

If for some reason you think that search hits are real and not SEO and you want to try these guys out, make sure to cancel within 7 days if you trust them with your credit card number; I would not.

I would think a few times about even doing that- remember your email address is also a source of revenue for many businesses. If this is their business practice (trapping your money), think about what would stop them from reselling your email address to spammers. I realize that's probably been done a thousand times already, but it's the principal.
