I ordered an Azul Peacock Bass from exoticfishshop, the seller promptly sent out my order and even texted me on top of an email to keep me up to date with the shipment. The fish arrived healthy and hardly stressed at all! I read the other harsh review and admittedly laughed about the "busting my balls" thing. In all seriousness the seller is a friendly businessman and and even I know theres usually a 2 hour window after receiving a fish to report a problem.
Do not buy from steve. He should be arrseted for what he is doing to his fish. Fungus! Ich! Eye diseases! The air that came out of the bags of fish smelled so bad I could not believe anything could survive in it. He should he ashamed of himself. But he isn't. Why care about the animals you have when there is a dollar to be made! Right Steve!
This place(Well Steve) does not honor his garrantee he mentions on his website. Fish arrive half dying because of poor packing and he does nothing about it. There are alot of other websites much better this one. Just google and you will find them…
Ordered a golden jardini from exotic fish shop and they came through amazingly. Over night shipped it and was here the next day. They are veer knowledgeable about the fish and all the questions I had they answered. Great place to shop at. Will be doing a lot more business with them. Thank you guys
First purchase snowflake fugu puffer, $70, arrived, acclimated to a healthy tank, survived 2 weeks, severe infection, did not survive. Tank mates not affected. Owner stated arrived healthy.
Second purchase MBU puffer. $80. Acclimated to a 75 gallon tank, survived 4 days. Contact owner Steve, water tested perfect. Refused refund of any kind. Fish arrived alive. End of conversation. Offered 25% off another diseased fish.
12 year old boy who saved his money for his "dream fish".
Pathetic
I received what was supposed to be a juvenile Red Tiger Mota. The fish I received was not that. I recognized right away that what I got was off. It was a great looking, healthy, well packaged fish, but it didn't look right. I sent a picture of the fish acclimating and released to the owner. I asked if he was sure he sent the right fish? One word answer. "yes" Later this weekend I found a RTM in a local store and purchased it. It's nothing like what was sent. I'm pretty positive I got sent a Cuban Cichlid, which as mentioned before, was a nice fish, BUT not what I spent $50 to order. The fish will work in my tank (New World) but completely irresponsible to be shipping out the wrong fish. That could mean death to the new fish or the established fish. I reached out a second time and got ghosted. Done doing business here.
Spent a lot of money through the years through his business and more than half the fish had died I put it in through PayPal because I received dead fish on contact I wanted my money back because I was sick of fish dying I have seven fish tanks and my fish are fine don't tell me that it was my fish tanks because I would test the water and it was always fine I would not be offered a refund and now I'm blackballed from ever buying from him again even though I said I would pay back the money for the dead fish that he sold me
This is the best lots of fish available. I like the collection. Very good and attractive fishes are available here. This is the best quality of fish. I love fish so much.
Ordered 3 fish, two were okay in arrival and other one was upside down. Water was cold, no heat pack included. Texted Steve right away to tell him one was DOA. He responded "send pic". I send a pic, then notice some gill movement, so I hurriedly put the fish near the filter outlet to try and get it some oxygen over it's gills. I update him and he says I'm better off stepping in the fish than what I'm doing. Helpful advice. He then repeatedly asks how I acclimated them, and I tell him repeatedly that I JUST OPENED THE BOX. I was dealing with the dying fish first. He then tells
Me to watch his acclimation video for whatever reason. Doesn't change the fact that the fish he sent was suffocating in cold water. I had seen his video and have acclimated fish a million times. It's not rocket science. I've kept reef tanks, and bred discus, rams, etc. i don't know it all, but I know how to properly acclimate. I explain step by step how I acclimate and that it's the same as his video, except he recommends faster drip than I use, so I go with his recommendation. I told him I just put all three fish in the setup and started the process he outlines in his video. He then tells me I'm not listening and to buy my fish somewhere else. I apologize and say he must have misunderstood and I am just trying to figure out what I am missing. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong or missed something. He never responds.
Take your money somewhere else. His service, attitude, and shipping is trash.
Have ordered from Steve 5 times and there's always great communication and the fish arrive healthy, quickly and as described.
Highly recommend
Answer: Scam. Sells diseased fish then refuses refund. Offers a minimal discount to buy additional diseased fish. Don't waste your time or money. Owner is a thief.
Answer: Advertised guaranteed high quality exotic healthy fish. Prices were fair compared to competitors. Specific puffer fish my son wanted were sold here. Owner Steve spoke with my 12 year old son at length about his exotic species. My son trusted his expertise and advice. All of which he used as a tool to take advantage by selling him diseased fish that died within days.
