Chock full of Ai images (they have their own generator), users generate mass amounts then SELL them as 'adoptables' or though subscriptions akin to Patreon. Some users just run the Ai-filter over existing models from defunct modeling sites then claim they created the model, or don't even list Ai in the description or tags. You can report a maximum of 5 images before the option to report disappears. Many images and even fan-fiction stolen from the internet & posted without credit, and underage girls with the caption 'depicted as 18'. Site could use a good FBI scrubbing.
There was once a point where I'd frequent this website and I could find community. Nowadays it's a shell of its former self - drowned in AI generated content that the new staff fully enables, ridiculous and unwanted changes to the website nonstop with no attempt to discuss these changes with the community beforehand. Recently, they've hidden the cheapest option for their premium membership to force the users to pay them MORE. You can work around this stupid change by finding a direct link to the old purchase page...?
They've also removed/hidden specific and seeming random features with no announcement or without acknowledging any questions about it, such as a statistic page in your earnings that shows you the total amount of money you made on days that you've made sales. This website is a mess, don't bother with it if you truly value art.
Over the years, I have enjoyed looking at fan art drawings of various cartoon characters. But in recent years, my enjoyment has been tarnished. Sites like this one have members who have screws loose, and show off their dependencies of their personal crutches, making me feel guilty about my own art, giving me fear that I would be too dependent on my own personal crutches. I occasionally can also get upset about how some cartoon characters are used in some of these pictures, hurting my interest in these characters. That is why I have fun creating new characters of my own these days, to get my mind off other people's art and characters. Also, as a result, I can now see why it is a bad idea for someone to continue someone else's creations.
Deviantart is disgusting. I started visiting this website when I was a kid and now that I'm older I realize that it is not acceptable. The rules are nonexistent and there are creeps everywhere. I like some fetish art but recommending underage characters is unacceptable. You can scroll down in the comments and see what kind of sick people are using this site. Reporting does basically nothing and most of the time it won't let you report because it says it was already reported and the moderators said it was acceptable. Also they shouldn't have kids and adults on the same site. I say steer clear and don't let your kids on this site.
They support Israel's genocide on Gaza. Check the United Nations website(ohchr. Org without the spaces) for more info
They just gave ai "art" a Daily Deviation (Basically they promote an artwork on the site to others) dA has been sucking the soul of the site and everything about what the the old dA was all about. Not to mention some people's profiles are bugged out and can't edit subgalleries after creation.
I sometimes spend my time checking out the new art on sites, but on this one I can't scroll an inch without being bombarded with fetish porn of characters.
Not only that, but thanks to the site promoting $#*! like this, I can't look up some characters without one of the first things I see being a fetishized version of them!
Some aren't even adults, I've seen inflation and vore of straight up children!
The only reason I remain on the site is for the genuine good art, but even that might not be enough, I would never recommend this site.
DeviantArt is a very toxic website and is full of fetishes. Even though DeviantArt has a setting where you can disable mature content, some fetishes will still be uncensored. There's also lots of p_rn on this website as well as lots of perv_rts in the community, so beware of disturbing content, especially if making a YouTube video on DeviantArt!
A week ago, I joined DeviantArt and created an account under the username "seospecialist," reflecting my 15 years of experience as an SEO specialist. Additionally, I shared some of the website-related artwork I had created. To my surprise, I recently received an email from DeviantArt notifying me that my account has been suspended, accompanied by the brief comment "spammer" from the administrator. I am genuinely perplexed by their decision and find their lack of respect and decency disheartening. It is crucial for them to learn to value their users and make more informed judgments regarding account management. I feel dehumanized by their treatment. While I understand that spammers pose challenges, it is unjust for me to bear the brunt of their frustration. It is disheartening when a platform fails to treat its users with fairness and consideration.
This is one of the best hubs for unique artwork of all kinds on the internet itself. I've been a member for years, but find myself browsing much more than creating. The interface is relatively easy to use, and they offer premium memberships with extra features. It's still awesome using it free though.
Just love this site and finding other artists! I would say one down side is the number of people trying to sell their stuff on Etsy or other sites. I am more about sharing my ideas with others, getting comments on my Cosplay costumes, helpful critiques, etc... Also I have found some wonderful art prints to purchase from very talented artists.
Answer: They not care cyberbully
Answer: I've been on dA since 2009 and have already lost so much business due to the layout changes. So many previous customers are jumping ship because of how bad the website changes are.
