We went to the Camping World RV Show in Denver. Found a 5th Wheel that my wife and I wanted to trade our Jayco trailer in on. We worked a deal that we felt was good and agreed to purchase but since it was late on the last evening of the show the managers were too overwhelmed and the Camping World store in Golden, CO's 'General Manager" asked us to wait until the following Monday so that he could "roll out the red carpet" and give us the "VIP" treatment since we had to wait and are previous customers. Said he would call us personally. Monday came around and the General Manager never called. Instead he had a finance guy call us with MUCH higher numbers than we agreed. I went up to the store to collect my deposit and the "General Manager" had the audacity to say he tried calling me. I showed him my cell and offered cell phone records to prove he never called. Liars leading liars is what this store is...STAY AWAY unless you like getting ripped off. We ended up purchasing from a family owned RV store.
I ordered a water heater on Monday 2 day air. 3 days later still no heater. Called they said was back ordered. Bs. They said they would overnight and it would be here sat. Well it's sat weekend of July 4 holiday and no hot water. Could have got a small place to ordered In 2 days. Now I got email saying it will be here Monday. So there 2 day is actually 9 days. Terrible service and lied to me and broke promises and left me hanging. Beware.
We recently bought a 2018 Keystone Montana 5th wheel from the Camping World in Fresno Ca. They have zero customer service. We had a list of several items that needed to be repaired before they delivered and after delivery we realized they were not fixed. This unit was never cleaned before delivery. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy and I don't believe it was ever cleaned. There were empty water bottles and dirty paper towels behind one of the couches and behind the recliner was dirt and dust that was never swept out. Dirt and hairs in the bathroom sink also. Complaints fall on deaf ears. Our salesman did nothing to help us out either. I guess he got the commission but did nothing to deserve it. Friends of ours bought here and had a good experience but we will never deal with these people again. So just be aware.
Finance lady sold us an extended warranty. She assured us that the cost is $240 a month and that we could cancel at any time. Turns out she added almost $***** to our loan. The total extended cost of the warranty. Yes, nineteen thousand dollars. Also, they still won't explain the $5044 that was mysteriously added at the very end of closing. Out and out crooked!
I purchased new batteries for my airstream interstate. The batteries worked for 1 day. At there behest, I took my motor home to RV one in Des Moines. At first they didn't know what was wrong with my rv, but then they figured out that the batteries are not holding a charge. I took the batteries back to camping world Cedar Falls. They promised me a refund and took the batteries back. They never gave me my $900+ dollars back and they kept my batteries.
Syracuse Store Cold Called me at 7:15am PST about an inquiry I made two years prior. When I asked to not call West Coast area codes so early, the caller hung up on me. CW just lost my good will towards any future business. Either they don't care or are inept.
On Wednesday of last week I thought that MAYBE Camping world was going to try and help me. That's what I get for thinking. Jim McDonald said he would call me on Friday. It is now Monday night and I still have not heard from them. It just solidity's my thinking that as soon as they get their money, they are through with you. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I guess they teach their sales force to get the sale and be done with it. Go to a smaller dealer where you will get the customer service after the sale. At this time I would not buy a box of tooth picks from them. And Mr. Lemonus' word is not any better than his work force. If it is not right, we'll make it right. HOGWASH! He'll cheat you too!
Well, here is the update on Camping World, Oakwood, Georgia holding my brand new camper hostage. Corey in the service department "again" told us today our camper is scheduled to go into the shop for repair. My camper has been there since May 24. We purchased this New camper in March, 2021 with actual use only 3 times. The camper is supposed to be my home away from home for my travel nurse assignments. The door will not close from the inside, the refrigerator has quit twice, lost hundreds of dollars of food twice, and now we just received a "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL' from Jayco concerning the spare tire carrier may break and fall off of the travel trailer causing a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. New buyers please beware of the horrible place.
Started out with a terrible experience from the camping world online ordering center. Long story short, items I bought to be shipped to Idaho went to my two year ago home in California even though shipping address showed as Meridian Idaho. Called the customer service number to only be told by the rude lady, it was up to us to figure it out? Fast forward to today. Went in to our local Camping World in Meridian Idaho and met the he parts manager Ed looking for some help on how to rectify this situation. Ed looked up my information, found my order and told me he would right back. After about 5 minutes Ed returned with 3 of the 4 items I had ordered but then went one step further and gave me an upgraded 4th item since he didn't have the one I ordered in stock. I told him I wasn't looking for replacement of the items but merely help in finding the original items. His comment, "This is just the RIGHT thing to do ". Are you kidding me, this is the absolute best description of good customer service as it gets! Ed, thank you so much for looking out for me. You went way way above and beyond. I have been a Good Sam member since 1998 and will remain loyal because of great people like yourself. Randy Braziel, Meridian Idaho. First photo shows email confirmation of order and shipping address to Idaho. Second shows email I received saying item shipped to California.?
I dropped my trailer off on the 19th of august after setting an actual appointment online for service department to complete several warranty issues on my brand new 2019 outback
It is now the 11th of September and they still have not gotten time to look at it much less even begin a repair. I have had to pay for a hotel while out of town since I still need to have a place to sleep and eat while I continue to work out of town.
Everyone I call the service manager tells me another reason as to why he could not get to it. Do not trust keystone trailer warranty program. And all the nightmares service work on trailers and RVs is absolutely true and camping world I get them no stars they should be shut down cleaned out And out of a job. This is not a way to run a business
Anyone wanting to buy a trailer/rv
Do you prepared they are nice but consider it a doll house poorly constructed repairs are in evitable and so far I don't know how long it takes for a shop to actually look at you my experience I am still waiting while they have my trailer and I pay for a hotel
Just learn to repair them yourselves.
Answer: You cannot get hold of the people that count and when they say they will call you back, don't count on it.
Answer: Your local dealer. Will probably give you better service without the run around.
Answer: Customer service will just refer you to someone else and they will make it look like your fault. You write a letter to the CEO, and he will never get back with you.
