It was a Saturday afternoon and my car died and needed a rental quick. So the only place I could rent it was TF Green Airport. So I went ahead and booked one as I was in a hurry. I thought hey what a great site. So I took an Uber down there. Then as I got down there the airport said I could not get car without a Credit card which was absolutely ridiculous as I had already paid for the car. So all of a sudden I am way down in Providnec with no car. I did figure something out and found a small rental car company that helped me out. So I emailed Economy booking and told them what happened which was an honest mistake when in a rush. They emailed me back saying that they won't give me a refund. So for a guy on Disability the 200 they stole from me his huge money. I mean it was a mistake. I really think they should have given me my money back. I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM ECONOMY BOOKINGS. READ THEIR OTHER REVIEWS. THEY SCREW OVER A LOT OF PEOPLE. I WISH I TOOK THE TIME AND HAD THE TIME TO DO MORE RESEARCH.

I rented a car with full insurance to cover accidents & deductables. When I arrived at the rental company, they insisted I pay $50/day insurance even though I already had insurance.
We booked a car through this company for a 5week rental from Stansted airport. We contacted booking group several times before the rental to let them know that we were going to arrive at 4 PM instead of 10 AM and had no response from them but we didn't think anything about it. On arrival to pick up a car through Drivalia we were told there was no car as we had arrived late we informed Drivalia that we had told booking group about a later arrival, but they had no knowledge of it. The drivalia rep then informed us he would find us a car if we were prepared to pay the top insurance premium of £40 extra a day I pointed out to him and that was over £1000 in fees and we couldn't afford that he said therefore there is no car for you so we were left stranded at Stanford airport. Just to double check I then went on the drivalia website and discovered there was at least six cars available to book at Stanford airport but he would not give us one unless we paid the £40 extra. He was basically blackmailing us.
We contacted bookings group to tell them of our situation and up-to-date. They have done nothing about it, except to tell us that we arrived late.
If you book here you will not receive any confirmation email. All they send is an email with 1 button. When you press that button, money is immediately withdrawn from your credit card. There is no way you can get this money back. Immediately after it happened I called but with 0 results. I was within 24 hours of picking up the car and therefore not entitled to a refund. What they could do for me was send an email with where and how I could pick up the car.
DO NOT use this car rental company. They do not adhere to their own refund policy. I cancelled my reservation due to bad weather 72 hours prior to my pick-up time, well within their stated 48-hour cancellation window. Despite this, I did not receive a full refund. Instead of a refund to my credit card, I was given a credit. Additionally, a cancellation fee was deducted from what I had paid, even though this fee was not mentioned in their refund policy. To make matters worse, if I wanted the remaining funds transferred back to my credit card, it would cost an additional 60 euros ($65.07). Essentially, you have to pay twice: once to cancel within the 48-hour window and again to have the money transferred back to your original payment method. Look for a company that honors their commitments and doesn't charge hidden fees when you cancel according to their policy.

I booked a car to be picked up at Europcar in Alicante airport. On arrival Europcar told me I booked through the US? I am european... Therefore I had to pay an additional fee of 300€ which I refused. Now Bookinggroup threatens me and they will charge me a no show up fee while I stood there for 2 hours and nobody helped me. Thank you gangsters...

Very misleading wedsite, was redirected to an American page and offered the best deal although was completely useless as I didn't have insurance to drive the car. Been contacting customer service for the past week but yet to get even a reply. Stay away from this company because they're support is terrible.

We rented automatic car, end up getting manual car with problem. Their is no way to get response/ support from any one in bookinggroup.
I am still waiting for refund/ compensation on all the problems that we had during our rental. 6 month has pass, and no way to get response from the company.

I logged a full coverage claim on August 18th, and still to the time of writing on September 14th I still haven't heard back from the company - despite both providing all necessary documents as well as attempts to contact their service department. The customer service department is non existing. If you email, zero response. If you contact them by phone then you'll just get rerouted through various pre-recorded messages. Completely useless service, book directly with the actual car rental companies to avoid the same situation I've had.

When booking via Kayak it took me to booking groups site however the pick up location had changed from Luton to Stanstead i called immediately to be told they couldn't change the airport pick up nor give a refund?
