BBC website and apps seem increasingly unstable with content unavailable or not working across a range of up to date device types and common browsers. Terrible to frustrating ux and after years of use I am getting content from anywhere else. Entirely avoidable issues. Hopeless.
I lived in the UK for many years and grew up with the BBC. Left a long time ago but remembered the BBC to be a matter of fact reporting, no opinions except in their editorials. Now every thing is an editorial, light on the facts but lots of opinions with very liberal leanings. Still enjoy the variety of reporting, it's a big world! Wish news outlets would return to journalism instead of sensationalism. Sad to see BBC so slanted.
Great programming top to bottom. I have been watching many mystery offerings and I am delighted by the quality, the obvious craftsmanship, writing, settings, in short all aspects of production. I only wish US tv was as good.
Wish I could give them zero stars! It is clear that the BBC has an agenda misaligned with professional journalism and proper codes of conduct. Unwilling to call Hamas a terror organization, unwilling to print the truth about who attacked the hospital in Gaza (not even sharing all the evidence with the world). Please stop lying to the world and start practicing ethical journalism.
I used to read BBC news on mobile phones every morning, however when you scroll down through the many articles, spend time reading an article, then hit the back button to continue you are taken back to the top of the page. This means you have to scroll back down to find out where you were. This may seem like a small issue, but if you read 10 articles it is painfully long. I like the BBC, so I took the trouble to file a long report with them twice in the last 5 years - which was ignored. So I am filing it here, ever hopeful they will do something.
It is widely known that dog thefts have increased drastically over the last year. To advertise the fact that a working dog has just been sold to America for £23 thousand, not just once but stressed a second time I find to be totally unwarranted and alerts dog nappers to the value of these dogs. Totally irresponsible reporting. Perhaps the BBC would care to put out a public warning to alert owners of the potential that their dogs may be at risk.
To focused on ticking the boxes than content. Run by a group of angry women, than feel the need to constantly alienate 40% of the population (white male Brits) and run around telling each other how brave they are for being women.
Certainly deteriorated. Probably this is a result of the decline of British government support and reflects the decline of Britain as a good influence in recent times in the world. I have used the BBC app as a principal source of relatively unbiased news from an American perspective for some years. It is probably still relatively unbiased, but the quality has gone down so much that I am dropping it from daily watching. In addition, I generally don't want to watch podcasts or film clips as they are both relatively slow compared to reading and it is doing more and more of that. Sad results for a once wonderful news source; afraid it is now in the dust bin of history.
It is a most biased news organization that pretends to be independent. Still lives in the old mentality of old British Empire. Only shows negative news of the rest of the world. I came to this conclusion after reading it for 7 years in a row on a daily basis.
Due to the coverage of the BBC international news by the media, such as other virtual services in the discussion of problems, while acting as a security guard, as well as channels create a new opportunity for the organization of public activities. It is interesting for a wide audience, which really influences the formation of public opinion, acquainting readers with the problems, ways to solve them and the people who solve these problems for themselves or for others.
BBC has a rating of 2.4 stars from 45 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. BBC ranks 196th among International News sites.
