The BBC Australia shop is terrible. I ordered an item on Dec 7, which was supposed to arrive prior to Christmas. It never came. I did not receive any email about the item. There was no proper tracking advice. Five weeks later and I still have not received my item. After finally getting through to their Customer Service line, they said that the item was not in stock and now they have to wait for a shipment. So they never even had my item in stock, and they illegally advertised it in the first place. Terrible Customer Service! No offer to send it free of postage or make any amends for their error and illegal online behaviour.
If penny pinching lack of empathy for over 75s is the BBC objective then achieving alienation of loyal viewers is a success. Lack of programme quality is rife and even small things like updating text such as errors of fact misplaced geographical postings and total failure to monitor the obvious inaccuracies tells us they don't care.
Likes to create news rather than report it, self praising, biased against sections of the community that do not subscribe to all its mantras. Creates hatred and through biased reporting, marginalises And alienates people with a valid but different view. Hides news it sees as counter to its pre determined aims and agendas. Hypocritical.
Its a great website however there is not enough content compared to other news websites like CNN etc. Would prefer also if they created a different section just to cover brexit as i think is taking to much space taken up and its now just boring
BBC has become the headstone of antisemitism and antisemitic propaganda. Al Jazeera North should be it's name. Why must news from Gaza head up every newscast when the Russians are doing things much worse in the Ukraine. A pox on the BBC
A basic news website, with surprisingly thin coverage, even of UK news.
The news is given in no detail, but is inclined to exaggerate the "news" value of its reports. It seems politically neutral, but in fact it reports the mainstream, and avoids anything controversial. A lot of the reports are banal and you wonder how it ever got passed by an editor.
This is not a newspaper site. If you want journalism go elsewhere. If you want stuff that is short and easy to read, go to the bbc.
While all is honky dory for anyone outside the UK, Those who live in the UK are being pestered on a daily basis by TV licence goons going round people's door's, thumping windows as well as your front door and threatening them with a £1000 fine or prison or both because you don't have a TV licence. The price the BBC expects you to pay for even owning a TV, whether you watch live TV or not is £145.50. Your having to pay that on a yearly basis. Even if you only use a telly for playing video games from a console, your still expected to buy a licence. Yes, I know, that is why I titled this review as a joke, because no doubt, many of people who don't live in the UK will be reading this will be literally rofl, but it is right, the BBC are nothing but bullies, if you don't have a licence in owning a telly, your actually breaking the law..
The BBC always follow the leftist path when it comes to reporting on poltical and major world events.
They may throw in a lot of meaningless junk as filler inbetween which would be considered unbiased and factual, while also useless.
Unfortunately the British people are still forced into paying for the garbage produced by the BBC, when it fails to represent the views of the majority of the public at large, Hense why they disable and block comments when it comes to their content.
Hopefully as their viewership continues to decline, they will realise the error of their ways and make a change for better, I won't hold my breath tho.
Very good food and cooking website. (www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/) Thousands of recipes - most linked to the dozens of TV cookery programmes the BBC has hosted over many years. You can search by recipe name or just list ingredients if you need some help with inspiration. Another plus is that they are not full of links trying to sell you stuff. They also cover recipes for special diets. Excellent!
This website has an enormous amount of information and is one of the five most visited websites in the whole of the UK. It has a good web community and has a very professional online content. It contains the news, weather, sport, entertainment, cookery recipes and the kitchen sink.
It is entirely safe and can be viewed by all ages.
Not only that but I can't think of anything bad to say about it.
Overall - safe and reliable.
