DO NOT USE ANYVAN - SCAM
SCAM
Will take your money for a deposit separate from the courier fee, there is always more to pay, 250 and then 500, then 250 before the job is even confirmed. After I tried to cancel due family emergency, it seems the initial 250 deposit is non-refundable.
Still no service and 250 less than before, if that's not a scam, tell me what is

We hired AnyVan for what was supposed to be a full-service, premium move (ref: AV-*******). Instead, we received a chaotic and careless experience — and we're still dealing with the consequences. First, the company took an unreasonably long time to respond to our emails. When they eventually did, they offered apologies — but no meaningful solution. What we need is not just words, but financial compensation. The wardrobe boxes we paid for were never delivered — and we have not received a refund.
Our own boxes were damaged because the movers didn't bring the ones they were supposed to.
One of the beds was incorrectly assembled, missing bolts and left unstable. We now have to hire someone else to fix it.
Several of our belongings were scratched, crushed or broken due to lack of proper wrapping and stacking.
This has resulted not only in stress and frustration, but real financial loss: we are out of pocket for missing items, repairs, and additional help we should never have had to arrange ourselves. We've shared all photos and videos, and we've spent a huge amount of time trying to resolve this. So far, we've received only a token gesture and vague promises. We cannot recommend AnyVan based on this experience. Think twice before trusting them with your move.

0* if I could
March 19, 2025

If I could rate 0* I would. Turned up 4 hours late. In a van smaller than promised. Was told another van would turn up, which didn't. We ended up moving all our items into the drive as we had to be out by 1, in the rain. They then broke untold amount of items: tv, units, boxes, sofa, babies cribs, chairs, and more. To which they tries to offer us coins out their pockets to pay for the destroyed items.
Now trying to recoup some reperations from this will take "6-8 weeks" absolute joke stay as far away as you can

Like many below, I booked a job with AnyVan only to discover that, outside of their terms and conditions, they have a walking distance policy. Because the driver did not want to take my item out of the front door he demanded an extra fee of £70 to take it out of the back door, which I refused. It seems that this is common practice with AnyVan who also seem to want to go to any length to avoid refunding me for the job. Extortion at its worst!

I had a TERRIBLE experience with AnyVan due to misleading pricing and a lack of transparency. Before booking, I was repeatedly assured that my quoted price was fixed, only to be hit with an unexpected £600 charge at the last minute. At no point was I clearly warned that exceeding an assumed weight—something I was never asked to verify—would drastically increase my costs.

When I raised my complaint, AnyVan simply deflected responsibility to the driver, despite the fact that they facilitated the booking and provided misleading assurances. This is an unfair and deceptive practice, and I would NOT recommend using their service unless you're prepared for surprise charges and zero accountability.

Worst company ever
January 29, 2025

If there is an option for no star I would have picked that. Driver's names Igor just left us hanging was very rude and refused to do the job, I even payed extra for the pick-up time. Contacted the customer service but they did not do anything and said there is no refund then just rebook but will have pay another amount. Money went to waste! Please don't book anyvan never ever again!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
December 23, 2024

Booking the movers went smoothly and the people sent to do the actual move were quite good. Everything else was abysmal. They showed up several hours late and the consequences of this set me back several hundred pounds. Zero apologies, no response from customer service, zero help on the day of or subsequently. Someone called for a follow-up who was unaware there was a complaint or that the move had occurred - the week before. Avoid.

I booked a removal with AnyVan three weeks in advance, providing my full address and postcode. The booking was confirmed, and payment was taken promptly. However, the evening before the agreed removal date, AnyVan called to say they could not find a team to do the job in my postcode area and cancelled the removal entirely.

We insisted they resolve this, as we had to vacate the property and hand over the keys. Finding another service with such short notice was impossible. They rescheduled for two days later, only to cancel again ON THE SAME DAY as the new agreed date, leaving us in an incredibly stressful situation.

When we sought a refund and compensation for the significant inconvenience and damage caused, they only offered a refund and outright refused any compensation.

This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is unacceptable. We have now referred them to the consumer protection association. Avoid AnyVan at all costs!

MUST READ! DO NOT USE!
December 10, 2024

MUST READ! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, THIS COMPANY IS A WASTE OF SPACE, TIME AND MONEY. FIND INDIVIDUAL MAN & VAN INSTEAD.

TLDR (DO NOT USE):
They outsource to individual labourers/driver who aren't trained to handle objects.
 Crazy fee
 Abysmal insurance compenstation.

I used AnyVan for a move from London to Manchester, which is about a 5 hours drive. The price was £1700 but the issue is, they just "provided" me with individual Labourers who have no association with AnyVan except get paid by them. Think of AnyVan as a recruitment company, you aren't associated with the recruiter, but they connect you with employers. You can easily find Man & Van who would be willing to do the job for around 25% the price, which means AnyVan is putting an insane fee on top.

Additionally, as the labourers aren't trained, they took WAY TOO long to load/offload and my wife and I ended up having to help with the full loading and unloading.

You'd think with such a fee, there would be decent insurance provided for a peace of mind. But unfortuately that's not the case. A few products got damaged during transit, and during the claiming process, the max they would pay out is £45.

Honestly at that price, I was expecting AnyVan to provide decently trained professionals who know how to handle products.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, THIS COMPANY IS A WASTE OF SPACE, TIME AND MONEY. FIND INDIVIDUAL MAN & VAN INSTEAD.

Terrible
December 2, 2024

AnyVan's one job is to move items safely and securely from A to B. My items arrived damaged and broken, and they lost several of my boxes. I went through a long and miserable process of back and forth emails/phone calls re missing items, which they did not want to compensate me for. The Customer Care team is rude, unhelpful, and deliberately obstructive. Avoid using this company.

Appalling experience
August 13, 2024

Terrible recent experience (August2024) with AnyVan. They made a mistake and communicated to the chosen removal company a different delivery date than the one agreed in our contract. I was not home on wrong date and remover charged me £240 for storage. I turned back to AnyVan to ask them to cover costs since THEY passed on the wrong date and the fee was based on correct date indicated in contract. Since then… silence from AnyVan. I told them I would spread the word about their service, but clearly their reputation is not even worth the £240 … somehow I agree. I would recommend going directly to a removal company and not using a broker like them.

I recently had the misfortune of using Anyvan for a moving job, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Firstly, they quoted me one price, but upon completion, they charged significantly more without any valid explanation. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic.

Secondly, their disregard for punctuality is astounding. The movers arrived almost six hours late, causing a cascade of scheduling issues and inconvenience.

To add insult to injury, the driver threatened to abandon the job unless I paid additional fees on the spot, creating an incredibly stressful situation. This lack of professionalism and customer care is unacceptable.

Overall, I would strongly advise against using Anyvan for any moving needs unless you enjoy unnecessary stress, unexpected charges, and poor service.

Don't use!
May 1, 2024

@AnyVan DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! From the word go they didn't do as they said. We paid £325, which was immediately taken from my account before I received the acknowledgement for the job. I was advised we would be contacted the day before to advise of driver's arrival time. This didn't happen. We then made calls to the company, the driver and live chat but still no info. Driver eventually got intouch and did arrive when stated. However the list he had to uplift wasn't correct, not the items I had stated. He stated that he couldn't take all the items we needed uplifted. The drivers were very patient, professional and good humoured. After many conversations with the company advising the items they had liste were incorrect they point blank refused to refund my payment. I was advised that they would listen to my initial call and if the items listed were incorrectly I would be offered a partial refund if I let the driver take the correct items from the list. I was extremely unhappy with this point blank refused to refund my payment. I was advised that they would listen to my initial call and if the items listed were incorrect I would be offered a partial refund if I let the driver take the correct items from the list. I was extremely unhappy with this ultimatium as I wasn't party to the conversations my husband had with the drivers. However my husband and I agreed to let the drivers take what they could and I would deal with it. After almost an hour it was still obvious they were not prepared to be reasonable stating it goes against their policy to refund money. Please remember they didn't provide the service agreed. I know exactly what I said in the initial call and don't trust that, even if they have the call recorded, they would be truthful in what was said. DO NOT USE!

What a nightmare - avoid!
March 27, 2024

I was repeatedly told that a driver had been allocated to my job to then be told on the day of the job that in fact they had not. 3 days I waited in my home for a delivery of a new (second hand) cooker, so did the family I was collecting it from. The communication was appalling. I still have no cooker and have wasted hours of my time trying to resolve the issue. These guys are a joke.

Hidden fees - twice!
February 11, 2024

First off, this isn't a negative review of the drivers, but the company itself.

I've gone with Anyvan twice, once should have been enough.

The first time they didn't send the driver the full list of stuff he should be carrying so he refused to take a few items, including a large houseplant. The funny thing is, I'd spoken to Anyvan on the phone earlier that week when I'd made my booking as they needed to know the height of the plant, so I know that it was on the booking. In the end I had to pay the guy cash in hand to take it.

Now, that was going into a property that didn't have easy access from the road, but at least I was able to give directions etc as they'd called me on the phone. Moving out of the same property I made the notes about the property being difficult to access, this time no phonecall, I figure maybe there are notes on the account from the previous move.

Second booking with them its all going well until half my stuff is on the van and the driver says because of the access I need to be charged more, and need to pay over the phone before he moves anything else. Obviously when you need to move house you can't exactly call it off there and then, its something that needs to go through that day, and I didn't really have a choice but to pay. Especially as they'd already taken my stuff. The real annoying thing is that the amount I had to pay essentially doubled the price of the job, and meant if I had gone with a local man and van it would have been cheaper.

If they had informed me of the additional charge I wouldn't have used them, I think it's pretty underhand that they stung me on the day. When you book they say they'll call to go over the details but when they were taking my payment over the phone and I asked about this, I was told that apparently they only really call a handful of bookings and if you don't read the T&Cs then it's pretty much tough cheese.

Suffice to say I'll be avoiding these guys from now on. Go local, you'll probably find cheaper and the van drivers wont be the equivalent of depressed Uber drivers for the removals trade!

I would urge anyone thinking of using this company to refrain. They are NOT a removal company they are a man with a van. My regular man and van charges me £220 per day but I thought to make my life easy I'd use a proper removal firm. Any Van up sold everything and I paid £1300. My home was damaged and also my goods. Any Van do not care. I paid for 2 extra men and they sent only 2 no refund offered. My furniture was dragged on blankets as it was too heavy for two men to lift. My table worth £8000 was chipped and cracked. Sales people are conditioned robots who do not listen or care. As my items wouldn't all fit I had to hire another van the week after who were far superior and charged me £220. Please do not use this company

Had us over a barrel
January 14, 2024

My Mrs went online & up popped Anyvan.com read the reviews all 5 star so contacted by phone spoke to advisor & everything was sorted for our moving day ( so we thought)
When speaking to the advisor he sent out 30 boxes which he said would be refunded after the move
On the day of the move we were all boxed & ready to go, the back of 9 two lads turned up with a van that was no way big enough for a move of this magnitude ( hence the title)
I confronted them & in broken English they said there was another van coming!
On that note I let them commence with the move
As they went round the house they were taking photos of our furniture etc & the next thing I know is they can't take certain items because they were not in the infantry ie 1.kitchen table because it was marble 2.kingsize bed with tv because it was heavier than a normal bed 3.garden furniture because it had table & chairs
4.boxes that we bought that hung suits & dresses
The infantry did not point out that there were requirements for the size of a bed nor did it say they couldn't take a table because it was marble (which by the way it wasn't marble) nor did it specify that it could only take certain garden furniture or certain size of boxes
On that point I phoned the company up & spoke to someone in America who was no help whatsoever & we basically had to pay a extra £500 on top of what we were quoted
The two guys certainly understood English when there was more money involved
By the time they loaded up the van they're was no sign of the other van which they said was coming so basically I had to move stuff myself cos they're were people waiting to move into my place
Totally disgusted by the way we were treated from start to finish it took them 3 trips to move our house & like I said I move a lot of the items myself luckily the move was a half a mile away
Other things the guys didn't do was dismantle the beds & re-erected them which was stated by the advisor@ point of agreement plus they just dumped boxes on 1st floor of a 3 storey home all in all a shambles of a move which was meant to be a stressfree move

Charged extra 200 pounds
January 10, 2024

I was charged extra because my door is slightly more than 20 meters from parking. Nobody informed me about it before moving date. And they estimate the path as if it was 100 hundred meters which is far far more then in reality. Worst moving ever.

Awful awful awful!

Everything that they could have done wrong they did. I did the quote over the phone and the girl I spoke to put down everything incorrectly. Customer service were raising their voice every time I called them to explain the situation. And another 2 times they said someone else will call me on the same day and no-one did. We had already heard bad reviews about them but didn't believe them until we did it ourselves...

Dear all,

My recent experience with anyvan was horrendous. My items were picked up and not dropped until the next day! Yes 24hrs, the company are apparently trying to help, although they understood the severity of the situation, insult think they were taking the situation seriously, every time I called spoke to a different foreigner named Chelsea, apparently there is no manager around if you ever want to speak with someone senior, my
Goods arrived 30hours later damaged, crushed boxes and damaged furniture, soiled mattress and stained cushions. The mover name Taran during pickup thought it was easy to roll the table on the floor Instead of moving it. Im now waiting to a confirmation whether I will have the job refunded and the damages to my items reimbursed. The experience has beeen completely shocking considering it was Christmas 3 days before all this happened. I time of joy, kindness, peace.
