Ordered a very important item via Amazon, and was very impressed it was going to be delivered the next working day, however there was a possibility I might not be at home with the times stated.
So on the app as instructed, I gave instructions to the driver as where to leave this item, should I not be home in time.
So the next day, unfortunately I was delayed, and I received a message from Amazon, saying the package had been delivered & handed to the resident at my address, I was so confused as I was not home. So a few hours later and arrived home, there was no card telling me where my package was, I checked the location I left on the app for the driver, nothing.
I was then met by my neighbour, who stated the Amazon driver just put the package in a bush and left, a few lads saw this and attempted to take the package, he stepped in a retrieved my item.
It was at this point he handed me my package, why lie and be dishonest, not impressed at all.
On 3 December 2024 a fraudster obtained illegal access to my account. The fraudster gave his name & address as
David Thomas, 42 Standen Avenue, Hornchurch RM12 6AD
And placed an order stealing £67.42 from my account.
I have since then repeatedly informed Amazon of the crime and asked them to report the matter to police. But Amazon have done absolutely nothing to help to get the fraud investigated and reported to police.
They are also refusing to refund the stolen money and compensate me for the fraud and have just lied and lied to me. I have reported the fraud to police who have given me a crime reference number:

I was looking for over the garden wall on Bluray, most places didn't have stock but Amazon did for £49.99 so I ordered it. I waited two days for it arrive, when it arrived something felt off, the parcel was really tiny, light weight and it was in a wafer thin plastic bag and it had no weight to it. I opened the parcel and looked inside and my suspicions only grew, I opened the movie case which was flimsy and I carefully removed the disk and looked at the back of the bluray to see that there were tell tale marks where the blank had been burnt off using a home computer and I could instantly tell it was a counterfeit Bluray
I left feedback on Amazon which was removed by Amazon promptly. I really feel that Amazon don't care that they are breaking the law by selling illegal counterfeit copies of Blurays, it's almost as if they can act with immunity and the authorities just ignore reports of illegal goods being sold.
Blank bluray disks when you burn files to them from a pc or laptop they leave rings on the back of the disk where the laser has transferred the data, on genuine movies you can ill never see this because the film companies use UV treatment such as pulse UV or Uv resin to remove the lines caused by the laser, another tell tale sign is that most blank bluray disks are either purple or grey Colored where as genuine ones will be a shiny gold or silver Color and will be highly reflective where are blanks once burnt will not.
I did get a refund on my order as I returned it straight away but that's not the point, the only other seller which had one left in stock is now out of stock and I can no longer get Over The Garden Wall on Bluray, eBay has some but like very very suspiciously like the counterfeit one I had from Amazon and they are asking £100 to £150 for them.
Be very very careful when buying stuff from Amazon uk as this isn't the first issue I've had on Amazon and what concerns me is that Amazon sells medicines and I ask myself could stuff like the medicines also be counterfeit? What actions to Amazon take to protect consumers? I don't think that they do. The item was dispatched from Amazon they had it in stock and they did zero checks to make sure the item was genuine.
Non-existent customer service.
I should receive a refund for my printer today, but now they're telling me to wait until October 7th. They received my printer on September 6th. Additionally, the customer service assistant closed the chat session. Sorry, guys. I've spent a small fortune with you, but it's time to close my account.
I've just been shafted by AMAZON. I purchased a bedding set, but when it arrived it was completely different to the description. I had to return it at my own expense and now Amazon refuse to reimburse me the £27 postage. So buyer beware when buying from Amazon because they are a bunch of crooks.
There's something mentally challenging with these people. My son ordered 4 items to be delivered to me for Xmas valuing £200+. None turned up. One of the items required a signature. Amazon support refunded one item then flagged him up as suspicious and refused to refund or replace the other items. They claim it's because all items wouldn't normally go missing but they were part of the same order! They won't provide a picture of the delivery or the signature. My son is almost £200 out of pocket and as he suffers from anxiety, is extremely upset. I have deleted my Amazon account and will never ever use these tyrants again. It's not finished as I will be taking them to court but why the hell should it come to this? It's clearly been delivered to the wrong address all they need do is show the proof of delivery. Don't use this tax avoiding company who thrive on cheap labour. Let's support our UK businesses locally and stop these people from hurting so many!
Have bought a lot from them but come to return an item...impossible!
Took to three return hubs they list, none have printers. Say they have told amazon but they fail to update their site.
Tried to contact Amazon, by chat and phone...impossibleto talk to an agent. Put in the bin. Will only buy from Amazon when absolutely no one else has stock, and not anything expensive
Hi, for few times sellers from Amazon get doggy and lie about products they sell. When returning the products back you spend time even all day for that and the seller don't pay any consequences.apart from that if you leave 1star review for seller Amazon don't publish it, is happening few times already.I'm not recommend Amazon.!
Ordered a laptop but received an empty box. Amazon ask me to file a police complaint which I did, they promise me a refund only to cancel it later.
Wrote to the head office but no reply.
I wouldn't trust Amazon for anything expensive.
Amazon is a big liar... shoes sent in wrong size, no refund just taking money from you!
I ordered shoes in the right size, Amazon seem to correct this and at end they charge you multiple times and not refund you for their own mistakes! DON'T ORDER THIS AT AMAZON! They are not able to correct their mistakes...
Answer: It is very easy you just e-mail them and they get back to you within 2 days.
