Hi,
I bought some products about 10 days ago and my order hasn't been fulfilled yet.
I tried to contact the customer service via email (twice). As of today no response!
I trusted the articles about AKIRA but at this point I have to believe it's a scam...
I was skeptical of this site since the other reviews are pretty bad but saw some good reviews so decided to give it a try. I bought 3 aesop products and one clinique product and they all are authentic. I already have 2 of the aesop products and they are exactly the same as AKD beauty. I checked the batch numbers too and the products were manufactured in 2022 which is pretty recent. Lastly, the clinique cleansing balm did come a little dented on the lid but it's not big deal as it didn't impact the actual product. I say this is a legit site and good way to save money on pricey skincare. I saved over 50$ and am happy.
WOW! I rarely give company reviews. After seeing/ reading several bad reviews of this company I thought I must respond. I have made several purchases from AKIRA BEAUTY. Each and every experience has been straight forward and perfect. I tend to purchase high-end cosmetics and skin care items. What girl does not want luxury and a bargain? Each item I received was fresh ( I checked the batch codes) and factory sealed. In all I have purchased 14/15 items. All met or exceed my expectation. I know they say the discount is upwards of 40%. I have found some in the 60/70% off range. Color me HAPPY! Customer service responded quickly to my email about a shipping question. Yes, they ship from Hong Kong. All three of my orders have arrived within three days. I find that amazing. From one makeup girl to another/ I have found the holy grail of high-end cosmetics at a MAJOR DISCOUNT.
I have been a loyal fan to Sephora and Bloomingdales and so glad to find Akira Beauty lately through a friend who loves luxury cosmetics.
Placed 2 orders and was very impressed with their fast shipping, reasonable prices and seamless delivery. The products are nicely packed and has the original barcode. Smells and works the same as what I purchased from other retailers.
If you're trying to save budget or only splurge on high-end beauty brands during sale, you'll be excited to shop here! I got my favorite La Mer cream, Clarins body fit, Rose Day cream and Skinceuticals hydrating b5 here.
Not so much worry about the different packaging and not authorized to sell. It is a legitimate concern but retailers like Costco, Walmart, Fragrance.net or even Amazon that offer better pricing are not authorized and sometime packaged differently depending on the origin country packaging. Yet their products are authentic.
Akira is worth to try.
I must agree with Hollan 100%! I saw so many bad reviews I had to give my (happy) two cents!
I was suspicious at first, after seeing some bad reviews, but decided to give it a try. Can't beat those prices!
Well, my order arrived in 3 days, everything is definitely legit and I'm really happy! I had a great experience! I'm not returning anything, so I can't comment on how they handle that, but they definitely earned my business.
I'm not going to review their product, however I'd honestly say their customer service is very poor. I bought an item that I wanted to return, and under their policy, as long as item is unopened untouched, you can return.
There is no response from Akira for this request. Continuous contact still failed. And I gave up.
I would stay away. Their not honest, and I can back my words because they actually returned one of my calls, and said that I can return. And they will follow up with an email with instructions. And that NEVER came. And from that moment, I guess they just ignored me.
I bought Avene in July. And right after placed the order I was told my products will be shipped out from HongKong. I asked and was told Hongkong is where warehouse is. And the order can't be cancelled right after the order was placed. I received the products and provided QR code, they won't be able to advise the expiration date and manufacturer location as the promised. I requested return and they received the return in mid August, but never refund. I have to go through dispute to get my money back. Never order from this Akira Beauty.
Do NOT waste your time to order items on AkiraBeauty.com. This is "ONE WAY" purchase, NO returns back. NO phone pick up, NO email responses. Customer Service does NOT exist. Save your money to buy your items from legit Vendors and Sites. I would NOT recommend this site (AkiraBeauty.com) to my friends! Scam!
I was skeptical about this website prior to my purchase and I was more concerned after placing an order when they informed that my order was being shipped from Hong Kong. But it doesn't mean that it's not authentic so I waited.
As soon as I opened the facial cream that I ordered, I immediately knew it wasn't authentic. The scent, the color and the texture of the cream were different from the one I had bought from other retailers (saks, macy's, bloomy) in the past. I have been using this cream for about 5 years now. Although the brand has changed the package and the formula in the past, I was pretty sure that the one I got from AKIRA wasn't authentic.
I bought La Mer 3.4 oz
However, container is different from the Original case picture. I can't tell if it's real or not.
Answer: Run by 1 person, no "buyers", shipped from HK, fakes This site is created beautifully, HOWEVER, their "team" of "buyers" sound totally fake; 1.no pics of said "team" members, 2.no affiliated social media acts for any "team" members. Further warning bells; 1.The phone # listed 833- 623-0044 is not "toll free" as claimed on their site, this is an area code for Texas. The line is also never picked up, ever. 2.The return shipping address is: Akira Beauty, 1160 Battery Street East, Suite 100 San Francisco, CA 94111, which is a generic Regus remote office (very cheap) used by hundreds of so-called companies while they state their location is based in LOS ANGELES, California, NOT San Francisco. Why don't they have returns mailed to their so called "headquarters" in Los Angeles instead? 3. Their "temperature controlled warehouse with 3rd party quality control monitoring" sounds fake as there is no such 3rd party verification anywhere on their site and there is no photo of this temperature controlled warehouse. 4. Their prices. 5.The direct manufacturers of luxury brand cosmetics have never heard of them and warn to steer clear as they do not give any specialty pricing to independent buyers not in contract with them, such as department stores, Sephora, etc. 6. They only accept Paypal. 7. EVERYTHING is shipped from Hong Kong, which screams FAKE, no matter how much they claim they sell authentic brands. 8. They only accept "returns" which are unopened, unused. But if you have a fake product sold to you paypal will refund no matter what. Be very careful of these online sites. I think it's 1 person running this site and they are looking for a tech employee to expand their shady site but aren't looking for any "buyers" as guess what, they don't exist. I will research who is the owner but I suspect it's YIN YIN LIOW, who is trying to pass as just the company's "Chief Marketing Officer" but of course zero linkedin acct for this "company CMO". This lady is a struggling actress, her Instagram@yinyinliow. She's been leaving positive reviews for Akira Beauty without mentioning that she's their so called CMO. I'm certain she is the one running the site by herself. Also, a customer left a review that she found some code inside her item, called the manufacturer and found her purchase to be fake. Awful.
Answer: They never pick up the phone number listed, which is a Texas area code. Scam. Shafy. Fakes. Chinese. All items shipped from Hong Kong.
