It's difficult. After I discovered the theft of my identity on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, I wasn't able to report it to Experian until Monday morning, 5 days later, because they only let you report it by phone, and their call center is closed nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, their phone system is awful to navigate.
