While searching for a monthly food box I was looking for something unique, not repetitive, and a good deal. When I stumbled upon Universal Yums I knew I found the food box I'd been looking for! Their concept is unique, their foods are wonderful, and the price isn't ridiculously expensive.
The one thing that really caught my eye is while there are country specific food boxes, they send you food from a new country, EVERY month, no repeats ever. [unless of course they're still around long enough to have reached every country!] This is wonderful if you're the type of person, like me, who can get bored with foods easily. There are many food boxes out there that allow you to choose what kind of food you receive, however, that usually means their selection is limited. With Universal Yums you don't have to worry about getting bored with a certain food always coming. The concept of "traveling" to a different country every month and "Eating like a local" is such a unique and clever idea, I knew I had to try it out. I am definitely not disappointed.
Not only is the concept behind Universal Yums amazing, the food is wonderful also. Now I'm not saying you'll love every single treat that comes in that month's box, some of the foods are either a bit too exotic for one's taste or are just not to my liking, however, it's wonderful to try new and unique food nonetheless! For the most part however, you'll love the food and it'll be a nice change from what you may usually have.
A word of caution however, if you live in a super hot place most of the year, including winter months, you will need to make sure to have a way to pick up your mail the day the box arrives as sometimes there are chocolates in the box that could possibly melt in hot weather if left out too long.
As for the price, you can either get two sizes, each with differing amounts, like many monthly boxes. If you're a bit tight on money you can purchase the Yum Box for $13 a month which includes 6 or more [usually more] treats. If you want some more treats, there's the Yum Yum Box which will get you 12 or more [usually more] treats for $25 a month. Both plans, IF you're within the U.S. includes free shipping. If not, there is a shipping cost. Either box you get, you're sure to be satisfied. I personally get the Yum Yum Box because I couldn't deal with only get around six snacks! :P That's me though.

All in all, this monthly subscription box is amazing, a great deal, and is sure to not make you bored.
