I just wrote my complain to them, three times in one year, they charge me for no reason, make me navigate for an hour to reach help as there app is not user friendly when it comes to issue, took you hour to reach upload docs and write to them, stop scamming, i kept proof this time so in future if they attempt to abuse my bank card listed i will file Saudi ministry of commerce, i advise all user to use cash or point of sale, dont provide them with your bank card in their scamming app.
Charged my card twice never showed up and somehow the number is not in service.I was scammed by Uber com.and seems they are getting away with it. Not enough to be investigated. Uber hires anyyone.no background checks etc. Beware. Uber gets hacked all the time.seems be easy to do. And the hackers get your money. With Uber having no idea who you are. Not enough safety or online security.never use Uber unless ur 100% it's Uber company your dealing with.
Since they have a monopoly everybody tends to trust them but the reality is different than what you think first there is no customer care, if you are in trouble there is no one you can call you will have to wait for 2 days for the guy to respond, the drivers get to not come on the location and then cancel after two minutes so that they get the waiting charge when they did not even communicate. Pathetic company
I have been using Uber in Qatar for a long time, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, particularly when it comes to fraudulent charges and lack of customer support. On multiple occasions, I noticed unauthorized deductions from my ATM card, even when I hadn't booked a ride and was sitting at home.
Despite reporting these incidents several times and being reassured that I would receive a refund or compensation, nothing was ever done. The so-called customer support is unresponsive and provides nothing but automated replies and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating to deal with a company that refuses to take accountability for its mistakes while continuing to exploit customers.
After repeated disappointments, I finally decided to delete the Uber app altogether and switch to local taxi services in Qatar. At least with them, I don't have to worry about random deductions from my account or being ignored when I need assistance.
Uber Qatar has proven to be unreliable, dishonest, and utterly unprofessional. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I highly recommend avoiding this service at all costs.
I, a lone female, was abandoned by a driver at a STOP in an unsafe area. Drove away with all of my stuff--wallet, keys, medication, work badge, etc. Thank God I still had my phone, but driver would not answer numerous calls and messages to return my things. I could not get any assistance from anyone with Uber. It got dark (unsafe area), blood pressure was through the roof (driver had my meds), so I called LYFT to take me to a relative's home. After about 2 hours, driver texted saying that he hadn't answered because his "English is bad." Gave me HIS address to come and retrieve my belongings. Used Google Translate to compose and send him message saying that HE needed to return my items to me. He did, but the damage was done. Missed work that evening, had to pay LYFT to come and get me, and blood pressure took DAYS to stabilize. Uber's response after all of this? Basically, they said, "That sucks. Did you get your stuff back? Cool, here's a $7.03 refund for the ride."
I was scheduled to have dinner with a business associate today. Because I'm immunocompromised he cancelled, having been exposed to an ill person earlier in the day. That person was his Uber driver. He was congested, coughing and very mucousy. Attempts at clearing the phlegm through his nose made disgusting sounds. (No mask of course.)
Why does Uber allow this? I advised my friend to report this to the public health department in Edmonton.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience on December 6th. The ride was quoted at $23, but I was shockingly charged $52 instead. This isn't just an error—it feels like blatant overcharging and a complete lack of transparency.
It's unacceptable for a company of Uber's scale to mislead customers with one price, only to charge nearly double without any explanation. This experience has made me lose trust in Uber as a reliable service.
Uber was scheduled to pick up/deliver my prescription medications from Walgreens at 3pm today. I received a text message at 3:04pm stating Uber canceled my pick up/ delivery. I cannot drive and am out of my much needed medications. First time ever using Uber for this service. I don't reccomend Uber. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Use a different service. VERY UNRELIABLE!
Catching an uber to work and home. You'd think that the price stays the same, I mean after all, I take the same route. Today, Jan.10th, their charging me 55 dollars to get home. Same route!
Unfortunately there is a zero star to rate this company. I was charged $110.00 for a "membership" that was never requested as I very rarely use this stupid service (it was used once since last year). After countless hours of messaging, as they do not dignify a mortal customer with a phone call in order to be as anonymous and detached as possible to keep on offering no customer service, I was informed that nice Uber would reimburse a whole amount of $30.00. What a scam! NEVER again will I deal with this "mafia" like so called company. Horrible!
Answer: I strongly believe that if anyone makes $20/Hour driving for uber, everybody will come out from the offices I work for them. If you make minimum wage while you are driving for them you are lucky.
